I've been watching a lot of these Pt 103 aircraft(Is this Pt103?) & this model is different...... a great number of them use wires but this one seems to have actual tubes covered in some other material? Can you direct me to more on this particular craft b/c it's more "sound" looking to me. I like the tubes if that's what I'm seeing here, I can't tell but I also like the cone up in the front. Legs sticking out seem way dangerous while taking off or landing so I'm leaning towards liking the setup of this model. I see some wire bracing in the rear(tail section) & only you can say if the main wing is held by tubing or wires?? I guess both will suffice but I like the tube type better if that's what I'm seeing here? I'm new, not a pilot, and hope to start riding w/ some pilot teacher type this new year. I like the hobby so far...... And I like this style of aircraft, so far..... Seasons Greetings
I really must ASK ; Do you have a drone camera chasing along with this flight? A drone w/ a 360 Camera? I've seen some similar things w/ a boater or motorcycle rider pulling a Drone along their path but this is unique to me?! I'm so impressed that I had to ask about it & Yeah, I Subb'd Up & hit the Like Button for all of this stuff. peace
Ok...thank you for watching .I have to say...I've never flown the 103 .the developer designed this...not sure about tube vs wire on original. There is a young girl who flies the 103...alot of videos from her. Good luck on your adventures...I will be flying another ultra soon..stay tuned.
I've been looking at these aircraft for about a year now & there's a lot of these that use "wires" to give structural strength & you can see those wires on many of them. Aerolite 103 is a Model/Brand name but I'm sure you know that Part 103's are a class of aircraft that can be flown w/o a license(pilot license). That said, the model in this video is a better plane in my humble uneducated opinion. Anyhow, I'll be here whenever you get up in the air. Be safe until then. Night
@diggy-d8w yes...I use a drone view cam for outside shots....but most are just camera selection. I will be flying the Hawk ultra tonight...should be out tonight.
Very kool, I'll be watching & forgive my uneducated non-pilot questions b/c I know very little. I know I like the idea of being free in the wind & to following it up w/ perhaps a pilot instructor if I go forward. That seems to be the smart approach if I want to start of on the right track. I'll be here waiting to see your videos. peace
