I just found your channel. I'm a new RV'r. This is a great video. Thanks for so so so much information on all this stuff. I'm 68 and bought a 28' thor Chateau Class C 8 months ago. Lost my husband in Feb of this year. We had planned to sell our acreage and buy an RV and live on the road. I have spent much of my life driving school buses and charter buses. So this is no big deal to me. I have been renovating this and it's gorgeous. I even installed wainscoting on the walls with the chair rails. Really makes it look like a tiny home and not an RV. I love it so much. I'm only in my son's driveway for now as he and his wife didn't want me to be alone through the holidays. I reside in WA state and they are in CA. So I'm here giving me time also to complete my renovation. I still have the bathroom to do. This is an RV that has a full size bathtub besides the shower in it. This is a 2000 model RV and it's like brand new. It only has 33,000 miles on it and I got it for $15,500! This is beautiful. I was not in to the 80's wood so I painted it all white and new cupboard handles and ripped out carpets and installed vinyl flooring. GORGEOUS! I took the dinette out since it's just me and that opposing bench seat seemed like a waste of space. I am installing a 6' long butcher block table to extend out from the new butcher block kitchen counters. A new beautiful white large singe sink... it's just paradise in here. I removed all upper cupboards in kitchen cause I didn't want them in my face and I installed open shelving. I removed the stove/range cause I wanted the counter space. I instead use a plug in portable oven/broiler/toaster and just put it away when not using. I cleverly used the cupboard doors from upper cabinets to enclose the oven door area and make it a lower cupboard. The butcher block counter top I put over it, I designed it to have 4” of a back piece of counter and then installed piano hinge to that with the remainder of the 25” deep counter. That way I can life up the counter to get to the storage under it for those larger appliances that won’t go through the front cupboard doors. Also it gives me access to the back area under kitchen counter in case there is a water leak or an issue with that. I can get to it without ripping up the counters. I wish I could post pictures here. This RV has no body damage and doesn't even have rock chips on the cab over. You can tell it's original decals on paint job so not sure how there could not be any rock chips from the 33,000 miles it drove. I will be heading for Quartzsite when this is all done. I have my house rented out for now and even if I go back, I still don't want to live anywhere but in this beautiful tiny home. Thanks for your channel.
