A pressure regulator control with built-in gauge to place between the camp fresh water tap and your RV. Burst inside water lines are not fun. About $25 & well worth it.
I Went to Home Depot and picked up bungee cord assortments in different lengths packed in individual plastic tubs. They saved our bacon more than once .... thank you for sharing your Walmart buys...
Too many videos, some by professional tank cleaners say RV toilet paper is a waste of money. Just make sure it is septic safe. That means it will break down in water and not wad up. The number one thing to be aware of is plenty of water in the tank. Don't open the tank until you are ready to empty it. Don't waste money on RV toilet paper. When you empty the tank the contents go into a septic tank. So use septic safe toilet paper. It will break done in your tank and not wad up creating a clog, and it is safe for the septic system you empty your tank into.
I've tried out all sorts of TP, and believe me, the best bang for the buck is the Costco Kirkland brand. It breaks down a lot faster, and a lot finer than RV papers. It also costs considerably less, and you get a huge pack.
Just wanted to say thank you for sharing your post! I wanted to buy it from Costco, but was afraid that it would cause damage! Now thanks 😊 🙏 to you I CAN buy it from Costco with no worries 😉
There's a guy on TH-cam that did a study and he showed us that RV toilet paper actually breaks down slower than the best two-ply toilet paper on the market. So that being said, use your favorite toilet paper
We don't put paper down our toilet I have a small swing lid trash can we put paper in and every night when we go for walk we get rid of it We have had paper before the gets caught up on sensors or something and cause a problems.
While there at Walmart, go over to the A/C filter department, I think it's in hardware, an pick up a washable window A/C filter, cut to fit you RV A/C which will save you a bunch of money being able to wash vs replace your filters
You always have great ideas that help me plan economize and organize better. My first trip was 15K miles and I carried about 1500 extra pounds of gear I never used. Less truly is more!
I've been RVing for about 50 years and experienced burst water lines and had an inverter blow in a lightning storm and I've seen other campers have similar expensive problems that totally ruin a pleasant camping experience. I WILL NOT hook up my RV to campground power or water without a good quality electrical surge protector and a water pressure regulator. A national park we recently stayed at had water pressure that surged to somewhere between 70 psi and 80 psi. Two neighbors had plumbing failures - not us! A couple hundred bucks of prevention can save a couple thousand bucks in repairs and a ruined trip.
Great recommendations---we have (and USE) most of the items in the video. One note about the TP: You can use any TP marked as "Septic Safe" but to be doubly sure, take some of the TP, put it in a covered container full of water, and shake it. If it dissolves quickly, it's safe to use in the RV waste system. Might save a few pennies too! :-)
The Walmart everyday green label toilet paper is the best at breaking down. Search on TH-cam RV toilet paper test. They did a great job of testing all kinds.
I have subscribed to your channel for a while now and I can't believe I missed this one. It made me smile. Dancing makes you happy so if the mood hits you in the Wal-Mart parking lot....just do it ! You never know, others may join you. Or at least put a smile on their faces. Hope to see you on the road someday. Be safe and enjoy.
We use the Costco brand toilet paper which is septic/sewer safe. Alot cheaper than RV toilet paper. We've never had a problem with it. Also in the gardening section, pick up a few "O' ring gaskets for you water hoses. Safe travels!!
Walmart has oil, air and oil filters for my Ford V-10 powered motorhome, Generac generator and toad. They also have a great price on yellow leveling blocks. We are FTers who boondock most of the time so need TP that dissolves easily with little water. We've found the regular Scott single ply, 1,000 sheet rolls are the most economical and have never had a problem with them. Of course, they are also available at Walmart. We sometimes get the Valterra Pure Power Blue toilet chemical we use there, as it is within a buck or two for what it sells for online (about $32 a gallon - which lasts us almost a year).
I use those plates...they are great and help reduce the vehicle weight if you travel. I live in mine full-time and just switched to a more durable sewer hose (not suited for traveling) as the standard ones have to be replaced in about 6 months of continuous use.
I had one of those "awning stabilizer things that was for dogs, and I'm remembering that my dog pulled the darn thing out he was only a puppy when he did it like, four months old
I dance down the aisles at walmart all the time... They like Happy Customers... Sunday AM is the very BEST time to go to Walmart... (less people)... and you can dance more that way... they have the oldies on then... Rock Out... and two step your way out the door... LOL
Great tips more affordable than going to RV places. You always need to b Restock. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. You're RV friend😎👍🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Picked up a couple of quick connects for the water bay ports and water hoses. Game changer. I picked up the plastic type, no corrosion, like you get with the brass type over time due to hard water.
Note that Lowe's Home Improvement Stores also have a small RV specific section (usually near plumbing), but there's is much more focused on the repair stuff, also recommend Walmart for anything related to your hitching if you are towing, 30% less expensive than the camping or towing specific stores and it's literally the same product.
Great video. I'm full-time now in my RV. I definitely need a few of those items. I wish now that I would have checked Walmart first before I got my hoses. I'm sure I paid alot more at the RV store. It's Walmart from now on. Happy Trails.
❤thank you for these videos! I’m new to RV’ing! Only been in my 26ft. of living space for a month. My struggle is where to put my clothes! I have business casual attire that I don’t want to fold.😫
Great ideas and finds! Your videos are so helpful to many of us! I didn't know about the Walmart app and how it will show you the specific aisle to find the product. Ty again!
I found some puck lights! And some that work in the cabinet that come on when I open it and shut off when I close it!! !! Awesome finds!! Also the adhesive mirror small but put it up on the back of the bathroom door!! And lots of stick up hooks and over the door hook for my robe!! We use a collapsing garbage can for all our water hoses and bungee them down!! Pool noodles on the arms of the awning so we don’t bump our heads!! Lol that was a painful lesson to know those go on as soon as the awning goes out!! Just cut them to fit and put it over the metal arms !!
I know this video is over a year old but virtually everything in this video is a win. 8 of your 9 I’ve purchased. I’ve been in a LOT of Walmarts and I’ve never seen that sealant. That’s ok, I carry the Dicor. I’ll mention the Camco non adjustable water pressure gauge as a Walmart find. I’ve bought the adjustable ones, they cost more and almost always fail. Those plastic plates and cups are a win. My wife prefers paper plates to save water while we boondock but when camping in a campground it makes it easy.
Water pressure regulator and at the bear (bare?) minimum, a surge protector, guess they're not available at Walmart. I have a Watchdog on my TT that monitors everything electrical.
There's a store called Ollies in Zephyrhills FL. I found tons of inexpensive items that I have bought for my RV. If you're ever near one go shop there. You'll save bundles!!!!
She said it's a good idea to have the different electric adapters. It's a good idea to keep a extra propane regulator or 2 . A lot of times RV places are out of propane regulators. You really want to be without a extra.
Im glad i stumbled onto your channel. My wife and I are looking to buy our first camper. We are buying used first to start out with. Thanks to your channel we can start collecting things we will need and can use on our camper. You know the basics, hoses, surge protectors, etc. Thanks again for what you do for the RV community. You have a new sub.
I am glad to learn about the slide out seal conditioner. I wish you would make a video about minor interior repairs and best ways to hang items on walls. I saw your video about nano tape but have not found it yet.
Wow! Your Walmart is well stocked. Ours is just starting to have more RV stuff, but even before the pandemic, ours had a small supply of RV gear. I live near Louisville, KY. Oh, and ours is in the Automotive area. Thanks for the AC filter info. We are newbies and it didn't occur to me that there is a filter in the AC. Duh! We were planning on a several day shake down trip to a local park, but the almost 100 degree temps and potential severe rain has us putting it off until maybe next week.

Favorite walmart rv find is a clear square water storage container with screw top and spigot. Smaller size that fits great on rv counter.

I'm not a Costco member, but I experimented and cheap Walmart TP breaks down as fast if not faster than Scott RV paper.
There's a guy on TH-cam that did a study and he showed us that RV toilet paper actually breaks down slower than the best two-ply toilet paper on the market. So that being said, use your favorite toilet paper

Love the Clear2O water filters! Definitely gets rid of the smell and taste and makes the RV water more usable.
Awesome!
How long do the filters last? About how many gallons? I know it varies on water quality. But 1 camping trip? 5 trips? 10? Roughly?
We use 100% bamboo toilet paper. I dissolved it in the tank chemicals and it completely disintegrated. More sustainable than regular RV paper. :)
Good to know!
We recently spent the night at a Wal-Mart on our way to Florida. It's nice while traveling, in the morning we went shopping for supplies.
I created my own step covers with rugs from Dollar Tree, grommets and bungee cords. Made 3 rugs for about $10
Nice!
Great idea!
Fabulous Idea
Wow 😲 Fantastic idea! Saves you $$$ plus better quality! Ty for sharing this 😊
We've been living in our rv for 3 years and use Charmin tp anduse tank tech and lots of water. Never an issue.
Good to know!
Drapes for front window on side i used fishing swivel snaps for attaching to installed rollers.
I'm amazed at how many people I come in contact with at any store with music... That they're singing along & strutting down... Including me.

Great information. We are close to buying our first RV and are putting together an accessories list that is getting longer and longer.

Whenever we get somewhere that a Walmart isn't stocked with rv supplies, we go to camping world and use our good sam discount
The dog tie-down has a 360 degree swing for the animal to move. That tie down starts the same with no swivel.

Awesome, thanks for the TP tip!
We use only Kirkland tp. Never had a problem with it. Costco has a great price on it
Dry lube for locks. It works amazing, especially on older basement locks.
Great suggestion 👍🏻
Laughed when you admitted that you shop for fun on Friday night. LOL. Shopping is glamorous.

Self adhesive hangers for the wall behind the stove! Hang the spatulas, spoons, and strainers on them so it unclogs the drawers!!!

I am always finding great RV gadgets at Walmart. I grabbed some really neat little metal bins that we mounted all over to hold all kinds of stuff.
Awesome!
I keep what you are talking about in our travel trailer.i use the Scotts 1000 sheet household toliet paper it dissolves quickly in just plain water

Right!?!
