  • An unusual video from me, but there is a train in it.
    As I was in Val d'Isère I thought I'd let you have a look at what I was getting up to whilst I was staying with my daughter Mikkaila and her lovely partner Henry. They really did treat me to the full works and yes, I think I did a bit better at snowboarding than Mikki expected!
    I hope you enjoy this bonus, slightly off-piste, video...

    And what a bonus this is! What quality equipment and engineering surpassed only by the snow covered mountains and your excellent commentary. Your attention to detail and your critique in all your videos are very much appreciated and enjoyed.

    Thanks for sharing this with us, and I suppose the restaurant visit just about counts as having a beer. The funiculare is spectacular; feels more like a proper railway than others I have experienced.!

      Yes the funicular was fantastic! And obvs the skiers don't experience it that way round as they all just go up. Down really was the way to experience it.
      I promise I had quite a lot of beers once we got into Val d'Isère! 🍺

      I said to Mikki "isn't it dangerous to have so many drunk people skiing down a mountain?" and she just replied "well, yes"

    Amazing, always good to see something out of the usual. Sailboarding on the Exe?? :)

      Sailboarding? Never! I'm not great on or in water. Although these new ferries with all their stabilisation does seem to be OK.

    How bad is the breathlessness?

    • @JohnnyHooverTravels
      @JohnnyHooverTravels  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I was fine. I did get pretty tired doing the snowboarding, but mostly because it was something very new to me and I therefore couldn't relax at all!
      Thanks for watching 👍
