I recently worked as a Stagehand doing Backline for Elton John for his MPLS shows. As the concert was doing a five song encore I was being replaced for putting away the instruments right after the show ends. I’m placed by the crew chief about 25 feet behind Elton and instructed to “Stand Here and Stay Here” while he and the other stagehand put some stuff away. So I get to see Elton Perform Crocodile Rock and Saturday Night, right in front of me, brilliant. Then another stagehand on a headset informs me that I need to move because I’m in Eltons camera shot. I replied “Are you telling me, that me, in the white tour t-shirt you gave me, that I am upstaging Elton Effing John!?"
So did anyone else notice that the line "One day, I'll leave you" @1:10 falls EXACTLY when the first line of Free bird is heard? The first line of Free bird being "If I leave here tomorrow"... Mr. D.J. Cummerbund, your art NEVER ceases to blow me away....
I'm gonna be honest. My boyfriend and I spent an hour snuggled in bed last night watching DJ Cummerbund videos and it was like the most romantic thing ever. Thanks, Matchmaker Cummerbund.

Maybe some parents would've found a better connection to their kids through this. What I wanna say is, other mash-up artists find songs to "flow" together, but DJ Cummerbund every so often manages to merge and even magnify the "message" and significane of two (or more) songs. Ooooh yeah! Dig it!
