i love these people too and don't doubt they are kind and compassionate. But having a pet does not prove someone is kind or compassionate. my sister loves dogs... because she hates humans. she's trying to kill me. never knew someone so hateful, ungrateful, and incompassionate in my life. Plus lots of people in the city i'm in have dogs. Those people are the meanest. If they don't leave dog poop in the path without picking it up responsibly, they yell and scream... so please... there are plenty of dear people who don't own pets

I'm amazed by Ukrainians. Despite in such situation where death could be at anytime, they do not push each other or get impatient with the slower ones but moved orderly in one file. I'm extremely amazed with their culture. If this were in India, China or any Asian countries, we expect shouting, fighting, pushing each other resulting in stampede.

Poroshenko, while not a Putin puppet like Yanukovych who fled to Russia when he was ousted in 2014, had his own problems with corruption. Ukrainian prosecutors revealed this a few months ago. However, when Zelenskyy was elected in 2019 with 63% of the vote, Poroshenko conceded and stayed in Ukraine. It seems he is down deep a Ukrainian patriot, and doesn't want his nation destroyed. Few people are all bad (exceptions like despots like Putin and Xi, whose evil overwhelms any good they might do) and nobody is all good.

I'm considering volunteering in the UK as a medic to assist people from Ukraine entering the country as we're low on medical staff here for this type of situation. I did Ecology and science in college and i'm pretty sure there's got to be spots. I have nothing else to do with my time at the moment so. NATO military alliance encircling Russian border poses grave security threat to Russia. Evacuation should have been done days earlier. Russian armies moved slow going to Kyiv Why’s the wait ??

The fighting must be especially dangerous. Russian infantry columns and dismounted rifleman. Followed by artillery cannons and some tanks. Both with a range of over 2 miles away. Providing artillery support just ahead of advancing troops. It is accurate and continuous. Drones may decide this engagement. Some captured artillery pieces and ammo have been turned toward the Russians.
