- Ukraine has unleashed one of the biggest waves of drone strikes to date on Russia. Authorities there say at least one woman has been killed and three others hospitalized in the overnight attacks in and around Moscow. A number of residential properties were hit and around 50 flights had to be diverted from airports around the capital.

it looks like they were targeting the airport, but russian jamming equipment caused them to randomly crash in the wider area. Anyway, the urban population in Russia is now feeling the war on their own skin. It remains to be seen how long they can tolerate this and remain "apolitical".

It's quite likely that, out of the many drones, at least one was downed after being jammed or damaged and went into the appartment block. That doesn't at all mean that the appartment block was the target.

Russian electronic anti-dronesystems, bringing drones out of course, not reahing the real targets. Ukraine is lower on resources, can't vaste ammo at insiginficant buildings
I doubt (for the most part) either side truly targets civilians with long range fires. The reality is though, between the EW and anti-air being employed weapons launched at specific military/government targets are likely to fall into any random piece of the urban sprawl rather than to make it on target.
Why bother then? Because every EW/AA weapon guarding Kiev or Moscow is one less tool on the front guarding the lines, so both sides see I direct miliary advantage to keeping the cities under risk.

It's about time that the Russian public finally realized that those annexations of territories from neighbors would eventually take its toll. Now, they are isolated from the world that even the UNSC has now decided that the rule of law has to be uphold against Russia.
It's simple logic. Ukraine resorted to punching back in the same manner as Russia. It has no other choice with its back against the wall with how Russia is using glided bombing. Given the option to strike military targets with long range weapons, Ukraine would have chosen this option rather than to strike civilian targets. GIVE UKRAINE THAT ABILITY, THAT OPTION!
How do you know Ukraine chose this building? Almost all drones were shot out of the air. This drone might have been on its way to an airport or oil facility.
