It was beyond his knowledge and left him totally powerless; he was still unclear as to whether or not they had truly killed it or not. 2. It had showed him the fragility of the human mind, and made him question whether his fondness for the human species was justified.
Thomas Mott that and this theme gives me so much chills and the mere thought that it's still out there chills my bones... I also have a theory that In the episode Listen the thing returned

Her theme in particular, the theme for her and the companions, the Master's new theme. Clearly Segun Akinola went in a different direction to Murray Gold, and that's perfectly fine in my book. You want somewhere to whine about 13s era, go someplace else.
0:27-1:10: forty three seconds of pure, unbelievable epicness. Simplicity in its greatest form. If any of you want to hear something a bit longer than that, you also could try the First Movement of Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. Not quite the same, but still...

Honestly this is my all time favorite episode, because we see humans being shitty often, but the sudden downspiral in their actions and their lack of humanity, that paired with the fact that like we have no idea what they were or what the next step was. This episode man
I agree with you all. Its like sometimes.. Earth is the one to have monsters too, not just other planets. Us humans can be the monsters. We can be civilised but honestly, we can act like monsters and have no regard for other peoples feelings. This track, it makes me think of how The Doctor is the only one to get through to danger. Both human and alien alike. He's the only one to get past the badness in people and its like this track is summing up his understanding of how EVERYONE can be nasty. It makes me think of how much beauty he sees in space too. Like he understands every star, every planet, every being in space.. he's the only one that can overcome things when everything is falling to pieces.He's travelled it for too long he's come to understand what is most important and what he needs to let go of, in the sake of peace. I love it.

To think that 2 series before. The Doctor battled and defeated satan face to face and mocked him and his attitude. While the same carnation was powerless and frightened against this creature so much, he chose to never investigate it and have the entire planet abandoned for the rest of time to not disturb it ever again.

I can play this song on piano and it is a masteiece, its simple but perfect but sad. I play a lot of Doctor Who tunes and this is one of my favourites including Love from Bincent, from the 5th series

I feel exactly the same. I never got the same energy and the same emotion again. This era was immensely satisfying.
