- Most of the themes for the season were laid out in Episode One including Amy's 'child' theme, the 7/4 beat rhythm of 'I Am The Doctor' and 'The Mad Man With A Box'. After reading the script, the most defining musical scenes seemed to be the Doctor selecting his clothes and, shortly after that, replling the Atrazi. 'I Am The Doctor' dominated these moments musically and was never far away in all the ensuing episodes. - Murray Gold
Listening to this in public makes everything just so magical. You kind of just forget how miserable the world is. I don't know how people can say that doctor who isn't a very good show. When just it's soundtrack can change your perspective on life. Not to mention how the show helps you to embrace your individuality.

This music was so perfect for when Amy entered the Tardis for the 1st time. All companions are shocked and surprised to enter for the 1st time and see it's bigger on the inside but IMO Amy best captured a sense of pure wonder by it and the music was perfect.
i always get flashbacks to the tardis sounds when she starts fiddling with it

"I Am The Doctor" now I'm going to go and get "Amy in The TARDIS" She thinks her life is an eternal "Doomsday" I mean she lives at "Westminster Bridge" for gods sake! It's like it's an "Impossible Choice" to get out of bed in the morning!
+DalekAlpha Love those sountrack titles! I think you would have had "Infinite potential" for more song-names, but "Everything has to end some time" and we have to go "Onwards." In this rather "Long Song" I can actually hear "A very unusual melody", it sounds like some guy with "Pudding Brains" composed it. Oh well, perhaps "I might change my mind" about this.

This was my first episode I ever watched sometime back in 2012. Since then I've watched so many episodes, read so many books and comics, listened to so many audios... They've blown my mind, tugged at my heart, but I don't know if any of them could ever give me that same sense of wonder as the Doctor and Amy vanishing into the night, a whole magical universe awaiting them...

Kirito Piano not just this, but everything he creates is absolutely stunning. The song Madame de pompadour from the season 2 soundtrack is one of my favourite pieces of music. Not just doctor who music, all music.

In just under 3 months it will be 10 years. Watched it live when it first aired, as I did with most of the episodes. How beautiful the show was, wonderous and delightful. It's still great now and the legacy and impact on all it has is amazing, but I think this was my time for Doctor Who.

Every time I hear this it's like I'm discovering the TARDIS and The Doctor for the first time. All that wonder and joy and disbelief. Series 5-7 will always be my favorite.
Brings a tear to my eye... I’m so very glad my parents got me into Doctor Who when I was younger as it was a major part of my childhood... The nostalgia I’m feeling is crazy...

I wish Netflix hadn't taken Dr Who off, my gf got me into the show & while I may not be a big Whovian I still greatly enjoyed the series, now I really would like to go back & watch the series again

Rose knew; she said herself, the stars were going out. And then it followed him to the garden of little Amelia Pond. Always waiting with baited breath. It could never allow him a moment to rest. And when his faced changed again and he became the One With the Eyebrows, he was set to face it once again.

he was the best doctor, and they were the best companions ever. and the musical score by Murray gold was the best, eclipsing his scoring for the tenth doctor.
As much as I loved 2005 and 2006 to 2008 and David's swan song year, there was something magical at Christmas 2009, that promise of a new beginning. Then at Easter I met the Eleventh Doctor and fell in love all over again with the Doctor. Through Amelia and then Amy's eyes we were to see the universe through new eyes. It wasn't a crack in the universe it was the one in Amy's heart from her raggedy Doctor.

I totally agree with you.There's something magical and enchanting about Series 5 isn't there?Not sure if it's the music or the chemistry between character or the story or maybe even all of the above.But there's a sort of this magical tone that Chris and Tennant didnt had.Well Tennant has his magical moment but only when Moffat is writing for him but still 11th first year will always be my favourite.Plus 11th doctor introducing Amy to the tardis is the best introducing to the tardis scene in all of doctor who.
