I love these old Cadillacs. My great aunts 1978 Fleetwood is still in the barn at the farm covered by a tarp. I think it’s been there since about 1985. It a gorgeous car.
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍. That is so sad to see a fine vehicle in that condition, that no one made a effort to at least keep it clean ! I worked a Caddy , Olds dealer when young these vehicles were beautiful . The ride was 2nd to none. Hope that vehicles fines a really good home ! 🍸🍸🍸🍸👀😎👍
I love that cardi B that blue is a beautiful color my dad had a two-door Buckskin brown Cadillac just like that one I loved every minute of it I wish I could keep it
I used to load my Mom and Sister in my 79 and go to the grocery store and we would load three carts and put them all in the trunk and that car wouldn’t even bat an eye. Mine had a hitch and we would load 5 Quads on the trailer and go up to the mountains and that car would just laugh. I turned wrenches back in the 80’s so that Coupe was spot on.
My first car was a 78 Coupe Deville. Dark blue, white top with white leather. A really beautiful looking car. The 425 is one of the last cadillac specific engines. Reliable and plenty of torque. Mated with thay smooth transmission.
That is a sweet looking caddy beautiful my grandad had a 1978 coupe deville with silver w silver landau top with dark red interior 425 engine same kind of car as that one this brings back memories.
Ive got a seventy eight i inherited from my great uncle when he passed away in ninety six its got twenty two thousand miles on it i start it up every few months its seamist green with dark green vinyl top and dark green leather.
My uncle's1978 Chevy caprice Classic sat for 20 hears too with only 63 k miles also and ran smooth and quite also with no shaking what so ever ! G M Cars Are Bulletproof !
What a beautiful barn find. I miss when cars looked this way! Curious to know if anyone did a full-detail on the car and really brought it back to life.
I bought a 1979 Coupe deVille with 54,482 miles that had been stored in a garage since 2010. The owner had filed a Non-Operational ticket so there were no California DMV penalties! Interesting that this car in your video has different front and rear license plates!
Oh Wow Favorite yr huh Thats saying somethin from especially a Cadillac collector 79 is yr i was born too ..i had 2 t birds same yr too a Red one with 351 Windsor an a Gold bird 351 Cleveland i put some Chrome mod white walls Loved that car power everything nice Cruiser for sure...
For beig a 10 year old car when parked , guaranty that car has never seen a salty Michigan winter ever or there would be rust everywhere for sure. Living across the pond in Wisconsin all my life , after 10 years there would be rust everywhere absolutely!! So that car is mint for what it is , Mint !
I tried to hold on to my Mom’s 79 AMC wagon when she passed, but I had other vehicles. We wept when the trailer pulled off. 30 years in the same family- gone.
had one just like this but 1977 witch was the first year for down size after 1976 boat's with the 500 cu engines .Mine was just a little lighter green same color int and a rock solid car too had 425 V8 those years up to 80 where the last of the powerful Caddy's in 1980 they went to that 4.1 engine what a piece of junk that was.Very Kool Car 👍
To each their own I guess. We see it as better than rotting in the barn. It was advertised for sale and this guy loved it, stepped up to preserve it. Thanks for watching 👍
Growing up my dad had a 77 just like that low miles still had the original ac still working in it it was the smoothest car i ever drove this was back in the 90 were at one time gas was 99 cents i remember him giving me a 50 dollar bill to fill ur up back then. Must of had a big tank dont remember how much was it to fill up back then 😅😅
Restoration footage??? We did the work, sold the car and the new owner took over and sent us pics. We rescued the car, that was kinda the whole point. Sorry we disappointed you.
WHAT THE FRIG!!! WE SAW THE PULLING OUT THE CAR AND WASHING ,,, AND YOU GUYS PLAYING WITH THE BIKES THIS VIDEO IS ON THAT GREAT CADDY ,,WHAT A MESS UP VIDEO!!! NO ENGINE RIDING!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks! Yeah Brando has got the Yamaha all spiffied up now it looks great! He got it to run (barely) pretty low compression. He's got it for sale. If he don't sell it I think he's planning a engine rebuild and keeping it. Thanks for watching 👍
Sad ..already has hoopty wheels on it.The air ride will be trashed soon and the frame twisted. I have a 59 Cadillac Eldorado barn find and thats why I wont sell it.
Beautiful cadillac i have a couple of questions what size was your trailer and did your 5.3 truck pulled it easy i have a1980 cadillac coupe deville i have to take it 1620miles
Our trailer is 18' and the 5.3 pulled it great! We haul alot of cars with the 1/2 ton 5.3 and never had a problem. The truck pulls great. Thanks for watching 👍
I bought a black on red leather 79 coupe as a HS Senior in 2000 for $100 from the original owner, only had 58k on it but from always sitting outside it had a fair share of rust but the interior was spotless minus faded carpet. I drove it for a year then parked it thinking the motor was going out (turned out it needed a carb rebuild) and bought an 84 caprice. I wish I still had it but it did sorta live on, the rear axle went into the caprice when I blew it up, my dad took the carb for his 70 monte carlo and I sold the motor/trans before selling the rest to the junkyard.
That mini bike is from sometime in the sixties because Clinton engines stopped being produced in that era, they were very reliable engines but the company went under though.
Yup I'm pretty sure Cadillac went front wheel drive again in 1985. Of course they offered front wheel drive Eldorados front 67-69 too. Thanks again for watching. We appreciate your support.
These could have the 250 Ci Straight 6 standard (very Rare) or a Oldsmobile 350 5.7L or an Oldsmobile LF9 Diesel 5.7L or a Cadillac 400-4 as an option Diesel was an option. Most had the Oldsmobile or Buick 350 gas or Diesel or the straight 6 was a rare and I do mean rarely order. Just like the R body New Yorker could be had with a 3.7L 225 Slant 6 as a $379.00 credit over the 318 V-8 or the 360 V-8
More than likely it’s the V8 425. It would have diesel badging if it was a diesel. The Eldorado and Seville came with the gasoline Olds 350. Never heard of a Cadillac 400. Ford used a 400 cu. In. In Lincolns of that era..
It's a great car and yes it's a 425 it's worth the money to bring it back to life. I own one. You can never beat a cadillac old is better than new.
I love these old Cadillacs. My great aunts 1978 Fleetwood is still in the barn at the farm covered by a tarp. I think it’s been there since about 1985. It a gorgeous car.
Me too!
Man I'd love to have that car. Great save guys!
Tru-Spoke wire rims were available as an option! Most people loved the rim hubcaps.
Mr. B. Here !

Love these particular Caddys what an awesome color haven't seen many that shade of teal.
What a beautiful car! I think that color is Atlantis Aqua. It was stunning once iit was cleaned up and running again.
Great find guys. 79 is one of my favorite years. I had 9 different 79s in my liftime so far. Great cars
That's a rare beautiful color!
What a beauty 🎉🎉❤❤
Beautiful car🎉 love it 💞
Thank you. Thanks for watching and subscribing 👍
I keep saying it: back in those day they knew how to build a good car.
Nice
My grandmother had 78 sedan Deville black on black..
That will make a great land yacht cruiser with a little TLC.
I used to load my Mom and Sister in my 79 and go to the grocery store and we would load three carts and put them all in the trunk and that car wouldn’t even bat an eye. What a beautiful barn find. I miss when cars looked this way! Curious to know if anyone did a full-detail on the car and really brought it back to life.
I just picked up a blue 1965 Cadillac Coupe
I can't believe people live like this.
My favorite car
This is a great find! Needs just a professional detail inside out and this Coupe de Ville looks like off the show room again! Beautiful girl!
makes me want one of these old boats
I bought a 1979 Coupe deVille with 54,482 miles that had been stored in a garage since 2010. The owner had filed a Non-Operational ticket so there were no California DMV penalties! Interesting that this car in your video has different front and rear license plates!
My best friends pops always had the latest of this model until they went compact and I swear that car rode like a magic carpet 😮
Very nice caddy, To bad you lost the footage of getting her running. Just subscribed 👍
I love it I want it, I'm a Cadillac collector. And it's my favorite year and favorite color
She has sold and is enjoying life once again in sunny California. Thanks for watching, subscribing and sharing. We appreciate your support. 👍

My mom had a new 79 Cadillac coupe she bought new and in 85 she gave me the car an I still have it today they are hard to find now
I tried to hold on to my Mom’s 79 AMC wagon when she passed, but I had other vehicles. We wept when the trailer pulled off. 30 years in the same family- gone.
Old is better😃😃😃

Omg, who ever bought it. RUINED IT ! What a complete waste. That is Sad. I would have loves that car and kept it original.
To each their own I guess. We see it as better than rotting in the barn. It was advertised for sale and this guy loved it, stepped up to preserve it. Thanks for watching 👍
Uncle Frank had a brown 1978 Sedan de ville rip😢
Looks good 👍 I have a couple 79 coupes. One with twin charged big block twin turbos and a supercharger
That color is called Atlantis Aqua metallic. I had a 1979 Sedan Deville in Sterling Blue metallic.
The old girl deserve to be brought back to life

So much for the Restoration Footage. Must be a Michigan thing.
Restoration footage??? We did the work, sold the car and the new owner took over and sent us pics. We rescued the car, that was kinda the whole point. Sorry we disappointed you.
One of the last big boys
Красавица а не машина.
My 1969 coupe deville is a triple blue
WHAT THE FRIG!!! WE SAW THE PULLING OUT THE CAR AND WASHING ,,, AND YOU GUYS PLAYING WITH THE BIKES THIS VIDEO IS ON THAT GREAT CADDY ,,WHAT A MESS UP VIDEO!!! NO ENGINE RIDING!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT??? Mess up video? No engine riding???
The caddy’s a great find but I love the Yamaha.

Never understood why people do this to their cars. How hard is it to throw a $20 tarp over it?
I would drive that car every day lol.
Beauty
sometimes tarps get stuck into the paint over the years
@@cle-chi good point
I owned a 1979 coup before. Was white with a baby blue top. I'd love to buy that car from you???
Good old Detroit iron. Where did our country go?
What a Score and a 2 door too boot!
Do you ever sell these cars you find fix and clean up ?
I winced when he hit the hood with the spray nozzle
We have that affect on people 😁👍
That mini bike is from sometime in the sixties because Clinton engines stopped being produced in that era, they were very reliable engines but the company went under though.
I think that is one of the Firemist colors
Put some hydraulic on that 1979 caddi barnfind, that coupe
Wet sand and buff it. That would be good content
Sweet ! How much? Cool colors!
Are they going to sell it?? I love that color
Beautiful color!
Poop De Ville!
😂 Best comment ever 😂
Is it blowing white or blue smoke out of the exhaust?
I was thinking a 1978 or 1979 on first look
Inside looks great! What a time capsule
It certainly was, such a clean car. Thanks for watching
I'd put a LSX in it,a Rossler built 4L80 and make a nice sleeper with it lol😅😅😅
Those are the fiber optic headlight monitors on the header panel..
What kind of suspension did 70s cadillacs have?
These had coil spring suspension. Thanks for watching

Sweet ride, was that correct wheel drive or was it a front wheel drive car?😎👍
These are rear wheel drive caddy’s
@@ransomsgarage8311
Hey thanks, I wonder when they switched to front wheel drive? I have an '89 Coupe DeVille that is front wheel.😎👍
Yup these were rear wheel drive. Thanks for watching 👍
Yup I'm pretty sure Cadillac went front wheel drive again in 1985. Of course they offered front wheel drive Eldorados front 67-69 too. Thanks again for watching. We appreciate your support.
@@StreetFreaksGarage
The El Dorado was front wheel drive with the Godzilla Cadillac 500 from 1970 to 1976, not sure before or after that though?😎👍
Make sure you change the thermostat. Those things lock up and then the motor will overheat.
Thanks for the tip. Thanks for watching and subscribing 👍
Need to spray it with iron remover now
Should hold the wand closer, maybe you can blow a hole in the vinyl. First time using a car wash?
Why yes... yes it is. Please send us a link to your car wash tutorials. Thanks for watching 😁👍

How much you want for it
Looks like its newer than 79. Maybe 89?
No, my bad
No it’s definitely the 1977-79 body style. By 1989 the Coupe Deville was a much downsized FWD car.
How much $ ?
Did you notice reg plates don't match
Yes Michigan is only required to run rear plate. Front plate is whatever you want. Thanks for watching 👍
