I Won a 1965 Cadillac DeVille on Bags from Manheim Sight Unseen! Will it Make it Home?

- I found what appeared to be a pristine 1965 Cadillac DeVille on air ride / bagged. It was sold AS-IS and sight unseen in Kansas. I took a gamble and spent $17,500 sight unseen. @MonkeyWrenchMike and I jumped in the truck and headed up to Kansas where we met up with @WatchJRGo as well as @realcarninja and good ole @WestenChamplin showed up for some @Topgolf fun and dinner. It was a heck of a day, and we still need to see if the car will even drive all the way back to Oklahoma City in the dark. Let's go!

Mike, at 24:31 you should not hold the terminal while somebody is cranking the engine. The battery can blow up in your face. This is not hypothetical, it happened to a friend of mine while I was cranking his car to get it started. You twist them and walk away a safe distance. My friend was lucky the battery acid didn't damage his eyes.

Had a 66 cad which is about the same. Great car. Has a couple of things you might want to know. The water pump is a bear to change, heater hose that. Runs under the intake manifold , tail light bulb change requires removing rear bumper. Loved my 66 conv. You have a bueatiful car!!
Randy my friend, you never fail to amaze me! I love the Caddy. My Godfather got a new one every year when I was growing up in the 60’s and 70’s. Even though the car was only a year old, he always let me take the radio out of it before he got rid of it. Then he usually donated it to the church. I wanted to be an electronic engineer when I grew up and he really liked the idea. The radio thing was one of his ways of encouraging me.
It worked, I spent the first 20 years of my career as an EE.
I mention this because your video brought back some pleasent memories for me. On my 12th birthday he picked me up in a brand new 1966 four door caddy. It was white with a light blue interior. Your thumbnail made me feel like I was 12 years old again for a few moments.
I think you picked out a great car for the Power Tour, just make sure the AC is sorted in time! I’m looking forward to riding along with you and MWM again. Your 2022 Power Tour video was fantastic.

Two doors or four doesn’t matter to me. I think any of those land yachts on bags are sweet. The older the more I like it.
The Seville and the Fleetwood were nice, but the 65 just has those classic Cadillac lines and presence. And that interior looks unbelievably comfortable! Four door hardtops with the roll down center window pillar are just so much fun to cruise in.

Hey Randy good pull on tge tge Caddy. Wheels work with the color scheme, Inside interior looks like the should copy the exterior. But there's a reason the sales person said you should trailer it back. Mainly for the battery & that oil cap situation. Follow your dreams man...

Glad you are going to order a dip stick for the nice Caddy. Plus you need to order an oil cap as well. You certainly don't want something real bad to happen for the vintage and expensive car. I want to see in the future if you decide to sell it.

Love the Cadillac HATE golf I had a 65 Cad 41 years ago brought my son home from the hospital in it after he was born, it must be a 65 cad thing that the front bumper sags like that my was the same loved that old car, great video keep up the good work.
About 20 years ago, I went to the yard sale with my grandmother she bought one of those in great OG condition for $750. She didn’t even have a drivers license and had never driven. I got to drive it home.

This is the first car on the channel that I really really want
i happen to love the 1959 sedan. i love the black on pimento red interior. yes it was called pimento by gm. i only ever saw the convertible on black and pimento but i love it. also would love to have the sedan with every option possible and be there and working not this alteration stuff or stuff broken or taken off. yes i am a total sedan guy grew up on sedans and also grew up with column shift automatic cars. my late father got to a point of if the car didnt have a column shift automatic he wouldnt own it.

Hey Randy I love the intro and that caddy is bad ass and I love the tint it's definitely a keeper don't sell it. I just looked up your sub it is a 1000 watt. Also keep up the great content. There was a video @MonkeyWrenchMike was looking at a Fleetwood Brougham it was an 84 I think he should buy it and bring it to power tour as well and you guys can be in pimpin caddys.
