I know I'm a year out but i reuse the pods to plant seeds in before they get into pots outside. I also use the coffee grounds themselves as plant food. We only use 5% of it for taste and the rest is great as nutrition. Its also great as a hand scrub with whatever soap you use.
Hi Meaghan, This Video was posted about one year back. I hope the silicone lids have not damaged the machine and it is still working fine. On which Machine have u used these silicone lids? Is it Nespresso Vertuo Plus? A response will be highly appreciated.
Hi ! These didn’t damage my machine but I’ve had better luck with the foils you can use to reseal a cleaned out pod. You can find them on Amazon! I’ve used them on both the plus and next. Both work fine for me but I do clean the machines weekly. Thanks for watching 😊
Hello, any follow up on the pinata caps? Is your machine still working good? I just got the next for Father day today, and am looking into these since the capsules from Nespresso are very expensive...would love some feedback if you have any spare time....thank you!
Hi! My machine still works fine but I haven’t been able to use the larger pods successfully so use it for espresso. I did just get a vertuo plus and plan to test on there as well. Thanks for watching!
My machine stopped working after using these. Any suggestions? There's a constant blinking orange light and no water flow. Unable to clean or do anything.
I haven’t had this problem before unfortunately. You could try to contact Pinata or Nespresso to see if they have tips. Unfortunately I think using a product like this as I said in the video would void a warranty. If you end up needing a new machine I just found a back up machine on Facebook marketplace for a great deal. Good luck!

Just throw the pods away in your recycling bin. 😒
If you have coffee in the pod you can’t recycle it, not to mention some people like to save money
