I never looked up a Toby interview until now. He’s a genuine guy and also awkward- such a stark contrast to the :”superhero movie stars today. Seems he got cast as Spider-Man because he is really that dorky white kid archetype.
Not having Tobey and Andrew in no way home will be a big opportunity missed. That would make the movie three times better having all three spider mans of this century including having all the villains from their world. Three hour movie too that would make it perfect but sadly it won't happen
There is still hope for Spider-Man 4 because Tobey's Spider-Man still stands very strong and I know that 'Sam Raimi' not long ago said that he's working on it and he said that he will try and make it the best Spider-Man movie ever made. I would expect something to happen in future time...perhaps something will be planned after 'Spider-Man no way home' and we do know that characters from Tobey's Spider-Man movies will be in 'Spider-Man no way home' including characters from Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man movies. Trust me Something will happen
But we might forgive them if they bring back tobey and make him look better than tom because if they make tom the hero then everyone will just hate tobey even more making it hard for Spider-Man fans to stay together.
Facts. Sony Truly destroyed the Spider Man CU with that move. Funny enough? While I'm not a huge fan of the Andrew Garfield Amazing Spider Man movies like I am with the Tobey Maguire Spider Man movies, I feel bad for those who were also excited for Amazing Spider Man 3. Sony Just cancelled that as well. And if I'm not mistaken THAT version of Spider Man was suppose to be connected to the MCU, which I would have still preferred over 9000 times more than the annoying MCU Tom Holland Spider Man we currently have.

Honestly yes sam raimi was a very great director for Spiderman, but whatever movie he'd decide to put Venom in (3) I feel like Venom needed his own movie solo with Spidey, Sandman was too much for the story, mixing them both together was a bad idea since it was the first appearance of Venom and Venom is a huge Key villain character in spider-man.

Kirsten was adorable in the interview. Tobey was being Peter Parker in real life. No matter how many Spider-Man movies they make, nothing can beat those 3 movies in 2000s. They have a lot of childhood memories entangled in them. They helped me a lot as a teenager.
Yes I agree that she looks sooo beautiful here!!! But I think Kirsten (pronounced KEERsten) is naturally gorgeous. I have roughly 70-80 of her films & tv appearances and I have genuinely loved her part in all of them. She is my "Meryl Streep" & her talent is undeniable.
As a 90's kid, I was heartbroken to realize that spiderman didn't actually have organic webshooters. Its like superman using mechanical laser beams. Its an integral part of them that makes them badass.

Yeah, he doesn't have the typical 'Hollywood actor personality', so to speak. He seems like a very genuine, smart and humble guy. No attention-seeking behaviour, no fake laughing, no attempt to appear funnier and more charming than his real self. He just calmly listens to the questions he gets asked and then gives pretty eloquent answers. I really, really like this about him. He also seems like an introvert, but I could be wrong. I don't know, I get this vibe quite clearly from him.

I know this is a loooong shot, BUT with this whole multiverse thing happening in the MCU, Marvel/Sony could totally just continue the Raimi films by making Spider-Man 4 and I guarantee it'd become the highest grossing Spider-Man film of all time. I mean fans got a proper Deadpool movie because they were loud enough, and that movie was a smash hit.
It seems that this might be the last movie Sony does in partnership with Disney, although Disney is apparently trying to buy Sony entirely in order to get Spiderman. It'll be interesting to see of Toby shows up in the new movie, although he'll probably be pushing 40 by now.
The only way to do that if they (either Tobey or Raimi made an example of what Spider-Man 4 could be and leak it exactly like what happened in Deadpool).

In addition, storyboards, the original teaser keyart and an unproduced game (in the form of a tech demo) also leaked. People know what's up.
What’s insane to me is the MCU promised that Spider-Man: Homecoming would have an already established Spider-Man but he was anything but that. It still doesn’t feel like MCU Spider-Man has any experience and we’re seeing him learn so many things. It’s another origin story all over again whether you like to admit it or not. FFH didn’t do any better of a job trying to separate Peter from Stark and make him his own man. They played AC/DC while he was making his costume. Also for the record Peter graduated from high school in like issue 28 of the comics so idk why everyone thinks he needs to be a young ass kid
And to think Bruce Campbell was going to be revealed as Mysterio in Spider-Man 4 since he appeared in the first 3 movies as other characters. Would've been incredible.
Say it all you want but for me, Kirsten is the best MJ. She and Tobey had a lot of chemistry. She portrays the original classic MJ, damn still I can't believe she didn't audition for Spider-man and she wasn't the first choice. Thank God the filmmakers saw her and picked her.
I always think when ever Spiderman comes to mind that why Stan Lee made him not shoot webs organically because an actual spider does. And I didn't know about the web shooters until Amazing Spiderman movies and I thought why they made him shoot webs out of web shooters and then I did some googling on the character and came to know that originally he uses web shooters. I still think that Spiderman should shoot webs organically but I know that this will make difficulties for the current Ironman-ish Spiderman because he shoots all sorts of webs.
It must have sucked for them to sit down and talk about Spider-Man 3 in a positive light, since they probably knew that Sam was being forced to change the movie with venom and other stuff. They knew the movie wasn’t going to be what was intended
I'm wondering if that last question by Ross, about promoting a movie they didn't think was good, was some deliberate digging. They both must have known this movie wasn't of the same calibre as the first two.

Ross was moving fast, but Tobey and Kirsten were quick too. Good interview. I like how Tobey was fine with the exercise questions. Most actors get easily offended by anything remotely suggesting they got fat, but Tobey went with it. Kirsten did a great job going with the flow of the interview. A lot of co-stars like to jump in and take over the interviews and become annoying and unbearable, but she was charming.
This reminds me of my high school days when I was shy and paired up with an equally shy girl and we both had to give a "funny" presentation in front of the class.

Yeah, he doesn't have the typical 'Hollywood actor personality', so to speak.
He seems like a very genuine, smart and humble guy.
No attention-seeking behaviour, no fake laughing, no attempt to appear funnier and more charming than his real self. He just calmly listens to the questions he gets asked and then gives pretty eloquent answers.
I really, really like this about him.
He also seems like an introvert, but I could be wrong. I don't know, I get this vibe quite clearly from him.

This is a great interview. You can see how both Tobey and Kristen do a phenomenal job playing off the interviewer. Excellent.
I know this is a loooong shot, BUT with this whole multiverse thing happening in the MCU, Marvel/Sony could totally just continue the Raimi films by making Spider-Man 4 and I guarantee it'd become the highest grossing Spider-Man film of all time. I mean fans got a proper Deadpool movie because they were loud enough, and that movie was a smash hit.
It seems that this might be the last movie Sony does in partnership with Disney, although Disney is apparently trying to buy Sony entirely in order to get Spiderman. It'll be interesting to see of Toby shows up in the new movie, although he'll probably be pushing 40 by now.

@@W0LV1E45 - That kind of already happened. Animatics showing several sequences in the film (including the final fight between Peter and the Vulture) leaked several years ago by one of the animators. In addition, storyboards, the original teaser keyart and an unproduced game (in the form of a tech demo) also leaked. People know what's up.

What’s insane to me is the MCU promised that Spider-Man: Homecoming would have an already established Spider-Man but he was anything but that. It still doesn’t feel like MCU Spider-Man has any experience and we’re seeing him learn so many things. It’s another origin story all over again whether you like to admit it or not. FFH didn’t do any better of a job trying to separate Peter from Stark and make him his own man. They played AC/DC while he was making his costume. Also for the record Peter graduated from high school in like issue 28 of the comics so idk why everyone thinks he needs to be a young ass kid

Say it all you want but for me, Kirsten is the best MJ. She and Tobey had a lot of chemistry. She portrays the original classic MJ, damn still I can't believe she didn't audition for Spider-man and she wasn't the first choice. Thank God the filmmakers saw her and picked her.

I always think when ever Spiderman comes to mind that why Stan Lee made him not shoot webs organically because an actual spider does. And I didn't know about the web shooters until Amazing Spiderman movies and I thought why they made him shoot webs out of web shooters and then I did some googling on the character and came to know that originally he uses web shooters.
I still think that Spiderman should shoot webs organically but I know that this will make difficulties for the current Ironman-ish Spiderman because he shoots all sorts of webs.

Ross was moving fast, but Tobey and Kirsten were quick too. Good interview. I like how Tobey was fine with the exercise questions. Most actors get easily offended by anything remotely suggesting they got fat, but Tobey went with it. Kirsten did a great job going with the flow of the interview. A lot of co-stars like to jump in and take over the interviews and become annoying and unbearable, but she was charming.
