I swear when Mozza said movies don't focus on the biology of zombies I freaked out. Coz I always thought about that. I am legend, they don't eat anything for years yet they surviving. World war Z, in the hospital. There's nothing to feed on. What energy resource is keeping them mobile?

I’ve always said that all the zombies would die off really fast due to decomposing etc my worry was what if every starving animal that nibbles even a tiny bit of flesh becomes infected and then they all in turn became zombies. You think it’s just a regular fly landing on you, then pow your a zombie. Look life’s going back to normal, there’s a flock of pigeons over there, arrggghhh they pecked my eyes, then pow your a zombie 🤣👌🏿🤪
I live just up the road from a hardware store so that’s my first stop and fortifying it into a fort big enough for at least a couple hundred survivors, recruit helpers to cull the surrounding zombies and establish very early if you have been bitten you will be isolated and killed quickly once you turn, then work towards the local mall only a couple blocks away, once we secure the mall we would have enough room for majority of the town and then just work on clearing the town completely of infected and begin erecting a wall around the city in case a giant herd of zombies migrated from Adelaide and the rest would be left to better leaders than me

Gardening store. Every fucking time. If you’re gonna go off the grid you’re gonna want to build a vege garden pronto. Plus they’ve got building supplies, outdoor supplies, plumbing supplies even (to set up irrigation, waste disposal, showers, etc) and fertilizer if you want to have some explosives as an option for defense against zombie hordes or rival human survivor groups. Get a few seedlings, some fruit tree saplings. Use some of the supplies to build snares for catching local wildlife. Solar lighting. You’ll be good to go!

Spears should be the best weapons in a zombie apocalypse because. 1. They don't need fuel or ammunution. 2. They are easy to make and maintain. 3. They are effective at range aswell as in close combat. 4. They keep the zombies at a good distance from you when fighting. 5. They are even more effective if you're in a group where everyone has spears. The zombies won't get through to you.
Agreed but durability is going to be a big problem with spears which is why I propose a sword, particularly great if you are a lone wolf and want to fight in 360° Michonne from The Walking Dead style.
Nah pike is the way, it’s a metal spear with an axe head on the end, it’s light weight, keeps em at distance and close up they’re stuffed

Classic movie zombie scenario my plan is to try and find a geographically isolated area or an area with low density population, asmall-medium island being the best. Clear area of zombies then stop zombies from entering zone. Quarantine new arrivals and avoid cliche mistakes

I live in Canada but my plan is to stop get food then drive down to our marina and take one of the ships and turn it into a home base
So all we really need is a Truck Boat Truck, some bug spray and a grill. I'm already ready then.

Does Mozza live in Perth, too?May 2020 we’re in a facsimile zombie apocalypse. I am a bit of a prepper and recommend rice and lentils, MREs, dehydrated foods, garden seeds to plant for veggies, guns and ammo, toilet paper, etc. etc.
The bunnings in the uk is 5mins from my house but never been there🤨 gunna check it out

I’ve got my bug out bag with bedding utensils cookware and all of that in front of my utility trailer that I use for construction projects that has tools and/or weapons already in it so I can build safe structures to sleep in in manufactured weapons and traps for protection the trailer already has a grill on it so I can cook at jobsites
My plan is to steal a houseboat and live on that, but that only works if the zombies can't swim so some testing may be required

After I started The Walking Dead, I thought the most under utilized resource in an Zombie Apocalypse; A Library.
All the information you need to make the best of having to survive is right there. If someone could devote the time to it, you would put yourself in the best position to maximize whatever your situation is.

I feel unfortunately, Ozzy Man wouldn’t make it long term (5 mins after Zombies arrive) and Mozza would remain ensconced as king of his outback domain for as long as necessary. The brand new extras like jet ski, duffel bag, barbecue and fold up chair were presents from his deceased mate Ozzy Man - victim of the recent Zombie Apocalypse (5 minutes in). He drove to the local IGA Carpark - alas his desire to grocery shop prior to his escape ended in disaster - they were already there....

You can survive easily in Australia because of the heat and that would rot their flesh
What you need there is a hillbilly i can plain out my own planks, out in the bush i would dig out trench and bunker systems but yall be the best to survive the apocalypse with if shit hits the fan ill find yall just survive and we gonna need that jet ski lol

Nah man, blunt force weapons. Five times out of ten you take a swing but not hard enough and ya fuckin kitana gets stuck in a zombie and then ten more swarm you.
also, maintenance on a katana is a pain... its like an emergency weapon

We have B&Q, so yeah Bunnings isn't needed for us. And we have other warehouse stores that sell food in bulk like, Best Way & Booker.
If your wanting for a series of books that goes into the anatomy of zombies I’d recommend Charlie Hinson’s ‘The Enemy’ series, they’re not technically zombies but a good read nonetheless

In the movie "28 days later" the issue of starving zombies are addressed, they do in fact starve and die a second time. The question is if they can be defined as zombies or just really crazy people.
1st store I'd visit would be a pharmacy. First aid supplies, antibiotics, pain meds, vitamins, protein powders are all going to be in big demand later in the apocalypse but not in the beginning. So while everyone's fighting over gasoline I'll be stocking up on the first aid supplies that people will need after getting all bloodied up. Then I can trade my surplus for gas and food. Plus most pharmacy shops have a snack food section. Clean out their water, beef jerky and any canned goods they may have as well.

I would get: caned food water/ rain water barrel system, ice, wepons, first aid, fule car (preferably a truck), stuff I already have, ammo, axe/chainsaw, wood, and some bent reebar to act as safety bars so the windows arn't easily broken, and a nice home in the middle of fuck off no ware.
The UK have a bunnings equivalent called B&Q
im going to be preparing for an apocalypse. not exactly a zombie apocalypse. but just an apocalypse in general. ive got a truck and thinking about buying a bus for more long distance transport as a portable home and a heavier item transport

I have a few options available to me. If anyone knows the North west of England. After stocking up on the food needed. There's a army base for weapons and a old medieval castle in lancaster.. Stock up on guns and use that castle as a base for now. Long run my plan would be to head to the local port in Heysham. Take a boat and yeah I could go to isle of man in hope that the zombie virus hasn't reached there. It a small island but a huge population so maybe avoid that and go further North up to the islands of Scotland. Population is low. 100 max I think on one island. If my party is big enough maybe taking the islands and a few boats would work. Obviously keeping in radio contact with the castle and the army base cause that would be a base for the mainland and supplies. It'll be good.

My zombie plan set up we live in Maryland in a newer neighborhood in a very heavily wooded area with ponds and under springs/wells all around so whoever is left out of my neighbors we clear out at least a decent perimeter around my court. Hopefully we have a decent amount of people alive at this point let’s just say we have about 100 from my court/neighborhood we bring all supplies together to see our stock situation which is enough for a good while. Next we must work on our defense like I said we live in a very heavily wooded area so we begin to cut down trees and amass them to build. My court is almost a perfect square with only 2 entrances and openings like every 15 houses so we should easily be able to construct rudimentary walls with the logs we will chop down. We first lay logs long ways one at all major breaks between the houses except the two entrances which will set us up for a good while with decent protection. We will expand the walls as we see fit maybe add another few layers of logs one long one standing then another long on the other side to give us a nice thick wall in case of any hordes. Once we get defense up we start clearing out a wider perimeter setting up more camps on a wider grid we set aside a good section of land for farming and agriculture. We live in north western Maryland so we have tons of farms so we should be able to get a few cows/chickens/pigs etc...

A marina and grab a boat.The pharmacy to get as much medicine as possible. Second, maybe first GUN SHOP. Weapons and ammunition. And a large truck like a moving truck, not a semi truck. Hardware store generators, barb wire, building a fortress stuff, chainsaw.
