      Your comment warms my heart Burmese Python, and so does your name. I LOVE reptiles and have been a keeper of snakes my entire life. Two of them I owned for over 20 years! Julius Squeezer (Male Red Tail Columbian Boa). When he was about 10 years old, I picked up a Female Red Tail Colombian Boa to act as his companion... her name was GirlFriend. They lived happily together for nearly 15 years. Enough of that... I am stoked that you enjoyed the review and found it helpful. Hearing that makes my day! Ride safe out there and if you don't mind, please spread the word about my channel to your friends. Thanks again! Kyle

      Hi Joe, apologies for the intrusion, Id very much appreciate your candour when you have a moment. I love the look & still very different today, the only thing stopping me buying one immediately is one of the few negatives the OP identified : noise !! Unfortunately I have ears that hate having any sort of ear plugs & I've tried a few, your thoughts re noise over a hundred mile or more trip would be appreciated. (perhaps I just use it for local runs & keep the Air2 for longer runs?)

      @@mikesloper7112
      I would have to say that it depends on the speeds you are traveling.
      I went on countless rides with no ear plugs.
      I would be remiss if I did not say there was some ear ringing eventually, but nothing extreme.
      All the same, I ended up going back to plugs eventually and yes, it made a great difference.
      So, is the helmet ‘noisy’?
      A bit, but it’s not terrible at all.
      If you aren’t going warp speed you may be just fine.

    • @mikesloper7112
      @mikesloper7112 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@joetrosclair8434 Hi Joe, many thanks for your quick response, it is appreciated. I was going to say unfortunately but perhaps I've grown up a little, the days of warp speed are very much behind me but I'm sure the occasional opportunity of right time & place will present itself now & then. Its been many years since I've ridden seriously & my spine still carries the scars 25 years on so while I can I've decided I need a can-am in my life to get me out of these four walls. My dream of a MV Agusta F4 (or Brutale) would be way too physical for me given my age & physical state so a dream it will have to remain even though I've thought about having one as art in my lounge. These things are possible when you're a single man & children have left home. Only one more question if I may : do you wear sight corrective glasses? Ive noticed some helmets do distort the vision slightly, a distraction no rider needs. Any thoughts gratefully appreciated, wishing you health & happiness, Mike S

      @@mikesloper7112
      Alas,
      I cannot help you on the sight issue.
      I practically have eagle eyes out of a family where everyone else needed glasses
      🤷‍♂️😂🤷‍♂️
      Also, this helmet has built in/flip down sunglasses (a removable option)
      Having said that, the field of view inside this helmet is possibly the best I’ve ever experienced, so I’d wager there is room for eyewear.

    • @manybikes

      The visor side plates snap on and do not take too much pressure to "pop off"... I would NOT mount a camera to the side plates. I mounted to the helmet shell and it works well, but only because I have a unique mount called the SUREWO Aluminum Ball Joint Mount,360 Degree Swivel Mount Arm Mount with Aluminium Wrench Compatible with GoPro. Not sure brave is the word i'd use.
      To each his driving style so i aint gonna knock but this driving style expects a whole lot from other traffic. Showing up from blind spots at 20+ mph speed difference and just inches from the cars. It's a bit too reckless for me and unneceseraly confronting towards other people.
      One thing that did rub me the wrong way is the comments made towards other drivers "woah texting and driving" when you're inches from their car with a complete empty lane to your left. And "that guy almost turned in but then he looked" eventhough you're the one nearly invisible riding on the line 95% of the time and dodging in and out of traffic.
      So please use position 1 and 2 aswell to help your fellow road users in not hitting you or accept that other people are just as flawed as you are.
      I have no problems with riders who have this driving style but they usually tend to be the same people who are hyper focussed on everyone elses shortcomings while overlooking their own. Please dont be that guy. If not for yourself then for the reputation/image shared by all us riders.

    Hey Kyle, thanks for the review! Does mounting the Gopro on the front of the visor obstruct your field of view at all? Also, would it be a good idea to mount the gopro on the top of that help instead?

    • @manybikes
      @manybikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, I personally really dislike the "top mount" view... The front of the visor does not obstruct view as it is in front of the chin bar.

      Lemiwinks howdy! All mirrored / coated lenses are delicate & do have a lifespan. Years and years ago I ruined two shields back to back, but haven’t “hurt one” since. I don’t clean my visor “very often” or as little as possible... but this is how I do it. I carry a microfiber cloth with my. IF I need to clean it, I wet the cloth with WATER only and lay it on shield. 5 or 10 minutes later i remove the cloth, fold it in half (dirty to the inside) and wipe the shield with the clean side of the microfiber. Flip & repeat if necessary. This method has been bulletproof for me. Thanks for watching! - Kyle

      Hi. I was at a cycle shop this week and tried the Airflite helmet. They run small so the sales person recommended 1 size up. I usually wear large (23.5 inch) but the XL fit perfect. Good luck.

    • @manybikes
      @manybikes  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If it helps, I like the Silver better... It seem more Clear and I was able to use it at night. The Red is a little darker when the sun goes down and it does not have as much definition. - Kyle

    Have you noticed any tint coming off your silver visor?

    • @manybikes
      @manybikes  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, not as of yet. I did make the coating streaky though... I borrowed a buddy's visor cloth and it had chemicals on it that did not play well with the coating. Need to get a new one...

    • @TreeOfLifeCG
      @TreeOfLifeCG 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@manybikes I'm wanting RST Silver also, but a lot if reviews keep saying the tint is coming off, I'm assuming that's due to improper cleaning ie, scrubbing, chemicals, like you said.

    What color of glass can you recommended ?? Gold mirror or red ?

    • @manybikes
      @manybikes  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Gold and Red are very similar. I’d say it depends on the helmet it’s going into. Generally I like the look of the red a little better however the Silver is easier to ride with at night, i struggled with the Red one at night.

    • @manybikes

      Yes, I do hear in stereo. I am running the Sena 30K in one of my Airflites and a Cardo Packtalk in the other... both are good. Each has their positive and negatives. I think overall I like the packtalk a little more... but the Sena is easier to use.
