Kerr let Tatum play 23 minutes against Puerto Rico and 20 minutes against Brazil. Nobody got more minutes in these two games combined! Tatum severely underperformed both times 4-9 FG 0-2 3PT & 1-5 FG 0-0 3PT. After this he couldn't play him in the important last two games. Tatum was an absolute liability for Team USA.

Tatum did not get a chance to warm up, sync with the team. Steph curry played every game until he finally found his 10:18 stride. All PR is about Lebron praising Curry.

He was still a plus (plus/minus) when he was on the floor. "Multiple" DNPs is a bit misleading since both were against Serbia (the team he struggled against the most in exhibition games).
I see your point about Steph's subpar performance in pool play, but are you also suggesting he should've been benched (like Tatum)? Seems to me Kerr was 100% validated for NOT benching Steph as his last two games brought home the gold. This cannot be denied.

People don’t understand one of the main reasons was probably was the concern with consistency. Yeah, he’s a great player, but you can’t be inconsistent in the Olympics.

Curry played so bad except the last two games and yet Kerr gave him a lot of minutes until Steph found his rhytmn. How can JT find his rhytmn in the game if he barely gets a minutes. White and Holiday played more minutes than him and they are only a role players in their team. Also they were dead set on playing Derrick White to justify choosing him over Jalen Brown. Jayson Tatum will never forget his experience and may not play in Olympics in future.

Finally someone said it. Why are we matching up with them we should be the match up problem. Someone else mentioned that we try to play like them and let them dictate the play style. We are still the most athletic the most skilled and talented.

What we learned about Tatum is he’s not an efficient player. When you get your chance to play you have to be ready to shoot and score. He would come in the game and be very indecisive in his game. He didn’t play well in the preliminary games either. He gets the ball and hesitates on open jumpers, even going off the dribble was indecisive. He couldn’t make no jumpers in medal rounds, they were all layups or open dunks. Only thing you could say is Kerr should’ve put Tatum in lineup before White since the beginning and maybe he would’ve been in rhythm.
Both are simps since this Olympics was solely about embellishing the reputation of Lebronz
