I'm going to try this for sure I've started to get back into photography and for the first time long exposure shots I'm still practicing them but good fun this will help a lot to see if it's all in focus and not expensive. I'll let you know how it goes if there in stock I'll get one for Monday I've got loads of different cables at home so I can probably find what I need somewhere
Great idea. I'll try that out. Ps. This haunting autofocus remembered me of the times before mirrorless. Can you use autofocus during the video recording?
I'm using Magic Lantern which doesn't allow autofocus 😔. Manual focus was a struggle with the 5D MKII due to the low quality display and lack of flipout/vari-angle.
@@syntechonline Yea. Great solution. I thought that you have AF but now I've wached that it was AF of the camera that you recorded this episode with. From 4:15 .
@@syntechonline wait... you were using this with 5dmk2 and this setup sends 1080p footage to monitor WHILE recording 1080p internally? I thought it could only output 480p while recording. That's how it works with my feelworld T7...
Hi, Is that cable HDMI you mention compatible with Canon 80d, please? I tried so many times with the iPhone 7 Plus, but it didn't work. So, I am using my cellphone Samsung and hope it works as long as you tell me what kind of HDMI I can use, is it the same size? From HD Video Capture Card to Canon 80d or 70d.Thanks so much and more power.
Would be amazing if there was an app that had focus peaking - I know Magic Lantern does that for your camera, but for cameras where ML isn't available, an app that provided it would be perfect.
my camera does not have an hdmi of sny sort, what should i do?, I only have a mini usb a round video out and a smaller round thing in the middle, I am using an older canon rebel xs
I use the magic lantern on eos M and I want to get the 5dii, which modes work well with continuous recording on the 5dii and is there a stable 48fps or higher framerate and which aspect ratio? Thank you
35 FPS is the max you can set on my ML build. I run through my setup in another video on this channel. With regards to buying a MK II. If you have the money spare, I'd go for a MK III instead. There are 61 focus points compared to 9 on the MK II. Essentially, you'll get much better focus on the MK III. 🙂
The information in the video is very good but the quality of the video is terrible, I think I got astigmatism just watching it. You as a photographer should already know how to use proper focus.
How is the latency?

Hi there,A very good video, I just have one question, when you have taken the video /photos, where do I find them on the phone? many thanks, Mike.
Can you use the phone touch screen to do camera setting ?
Yeoooo! This works really well, thanks bro!!!
Tip: disable wifi/nfc on your camera so it can give the info through the hdmi
a very important piece of advice that almost all the videos tutorials are missing, found in the comments
Need to try this. Thanks for sharing.

@@fiszu4075 this is how it's been working in testing. Perhaps I should note that I'm using Magic Lantern firmware on the camera.
@@syntechonline well... this is interesting.... I feel like such an idiot not checking this sooner.
Does this method support focus peaking?
wow, I immediately subscribed and likes your video. Can I use that on my canon 80d with my iPhone 7plus? Thanks so much.
I will have a look at getting this to work with IOS and get back to you :)
@@syntechonlinedid it work?
Can its work. For fuji cameras
you make it look easy
thanks
Does it records audio too?
What is the latency like?
Following.
Can you put a link to the app used?
Hi Mike, excuse the delay in response! Busy month at work. I've added it in the description :)
Is there a Type-C to DMI translator?

Does it works in t3i?
can I just use a HDMI to Type C cable instead of the capture card and OTG connector
yep
Ah yes. I have all said parts from old devices. I even have an old thin-pin Nokia charger. Lol

guess what, I use the free Accsoon See app and it works perfectly. And it has all the tools ike focus peaking, grids, etc.
are you use only usb or with hdmi port on you’re camera + capture card?
Thanks. Do you know if there's an equivalent solution for iPhone? Thanks, Stefano
This is something I'm working on! I'll let you know once I've posted the video :)
does it work on point and shoot camera that has mini hdmi? mine's canon powershot sx40hs.
C can't you purchase a direct hdmi to micro usb

was it any delay?
what's the app name for iphone?
can this work on the NIKON d3100 camera?
Does it work with nikon?
Will this work on a iPhone 12?
can this mount flip the phone screen 180 to the front?

Why not use just a hdmi to usb c?
Hi TNRead, unfortunately this wouldn't work :(. Essentially, you're using HDMI capture card to take the feed from the camera.
@@syntechonline yeah, I asked some people and they said that cable only works the other way around
Can you change camera settings/ menus from phone?
Unfortunately not 🥲
Dude, use manual focus sometimes.
i did what u said but it isn't working at all with the application u said in ur video
can i manage wb iso shuter speed and another options while shooting?
It's more so for framing and focus. However, this would be great if possible !
Any camara out now that will do this over wifi?
Very true! However, from my experience you may find some delays, connection drops etc. Plus this was on a 5D MKII so fairly old :D
I'm working on it :D
it is works in android 12 ?

HORSESHOE MOUNT!!!! No, HOTshoe!
Why is not on full screen on phone? IT has black margins!
🙏🙏🙏
You should have told me before I bought such a cheap phone. My new phone isn't even 1080p 😥
