I am a board certified MD and indeed, I learned about nutrition's healing effects AFTER my graduation in order to improve my health. Listen to this man. He is a MD with a passion. Passion leads to TRUTH. I learned by my own research what was best for me: My food window is 10 AM to 4 PM. Fast window is 17-18 hrs. You might be different. Just listen with an open mind because there are REAL forces of misinformation for financial reasons. Just think for yourself people. This man has no financial interest to have you eat walnuts, beans, whole grains etc.. He is not a farmer. Some of us went into this profession in order to HELP people. I know that the same misinformation is directing you away from some real MD's who love people. Much love to you all. 😘

The two doctors you mention are pro carnivore diet and that is OK with this video. There is no conflict. In order to decrease the acidity in the body from the meat, we need to eat these foods in addition to meat. No conflict here. @@jonm3388

What a beautiful human being Dr. Greger is. I've been a physician for 30 years now and I share the insights he has gained 100%. On oat groats: The night before, boil water , add groats, put the lid on and turn off the heat. Leave it on the stove overnight. The next morning, cooking time is about eight minutes. No special cookware required. I make three days worth at a time , fridge the leftovers and heat them with a few tablespoons of water for almost instant breakfast

I really enjoyed listening to Dr Greger. My mum and dad taught us to cook our own food and to have vegetables. The trouble is junk food is convenient to buy especially for people who can't cook or can't be bothered. Some people don't know how to cook because they haven't been taught. I know at times for me I would be too tired to cook because I had a hard day at work. But having learned that I had high blood pressure in my 50's I had to learn I had to change my diet otherwise it would be pills for the rest of my life which I didn't want to happen. The thing is I have always exercised but it was my diet that caused a problem for me. Now I am onwards and upwards towards a healthier lifestyle.

My old school dietary ways learned from my Korean mom & my ancestors as a child, has worked extremely well for my almost 57 year young body. My mom is almost 80 & still spunky. I stay very active just like her. I am her mini Me. Old school and Old country ways of living are timeless and priceless. Real foods - animal (land, water, air), veggies, fruits, etc...YUMMY! I will stick with what works well without all these modern day layers trying to reinvent the wheel. Staying healthy inside and out...Easy Peasy Simple.🙂

You need to check your microbiome. If the microbiome diversity is low, you may not be able to process certain fiber causing inflammation. Unfortunately not trying to correct the problem makes it worse. Fiber when metabolized by gut bacteria makes short chain fatty acids in the gut which are necessary for optimum immune function. There are protocols for balancing gut microbiome. You can read the book Fiber Fueled, which shows how to do that.

Intermittend fasting works fantastic for me as Dr. Greger said:
Load the calories (in the morning - for me until 14h00) then fruit or liquids in the evening.
Fantastic for weight loss and helps your colon rest during the night.

Lewis does an excellent job here. Dr. Michael Greger is a personal hero of mine but most big podcasts that have him on don't make good use of his time and wisdom. Lewis deserves credit for balancing the tension between wanting to appeal to laymen while also extracting value that is uniquely available from an expert like Dr. Greger. At a time when carnivore diet influencers are all the rage, it's good to have actual science presented.

Wow! What a great interview. I’m a fan and I always learn or reassure my path of healthy life style.
As a fact, I was born with mitral valve prolapse. At age 23 it started with few symptoms. My cardiologist said to follow up every two years.
Ten years ago I started as vegan and by learning from different sources I started a whole food plant based diet. Although I’m not perfect with execution, it was shocking to learn that I don’t have a prolapse anymore.
Same with glasses. I used long distance glasses since kindergarten and 6 months after starting my vegan journey, I stopped needing them. Still, I’m 58 years old and I don’t need long distance glasses.
Many other significant changes been happening. I haven’t developed any conditions. I don’t use or need any prescription medication. I’m very active and energetic. I’ll share the information with anyone that asks but I don’t take responsibility for their choices. The evidence is overwhelming and I’m really grateful for that first biochemistry class from Dr. Gregger that TH-cam suggested. I was fascinated by his information, education style and humor. That’s all it took, a fan and follower was born.
