    What should we be eating...
    1. Colourful foods and vegetables.
    - eat wild foods like seaweed, wild strawberries etc.
    - Rich array of fydo chemicals.
    - Green tea.
    - Red grape skins.
    - Cacumin
    - Mushrooms.
    - Garlic.
    - Onions.
    2. Fats
    - olive oil.
    - Omega 3.
    3. Proteins
    - Needed for muscle.
    - Find a balance by not eating for at least 12 hours in a row (16 is better).
    - Need quality protein. Lucin is key and you don't get much from plant protein.
    - You need more as you get older.
    - Have 1-1.5 hours after exercise.
    - You'll need to have more exercise + protein as you get older.
    4. Went off on a tangent a bit.
    5. Take pleasure in food/enjoy the experience.

I also like to have fun with life, and I'm a workplace clown, just like I was always a class clown in school. I also didn't take a lot of medications. Most of them were in my childhood, and I was sick more often back then, and I had allergies. I don't even get headaches-ever. I can't remember the last time I had a headache. I'm no no prescriptions, and I don't even have a doctor because I never get sick enough to feel like I need one. When I do get sick, I don't take any medications; I let my body fight it on its own because I think it does a much better job fighting with its own tools than if I swallow a bunch of drugs.

EATING WITH JOY! I've been preaching this for decades - thanks! 80% of the time, be conscious of what you're eating and fuel your best you. 20% of the time, eat with absolute joy and celebrate the people you're with, tastes in your mouth, music that's playing....being alive. Regret nothing of the celebration. Because you've cared so lovingly for yourself 80% of the time, you can completely enjoy those essential celebrations (which could be as mundane as finally getting together with a friend you've not seen in ages). Embrace the love of life.

Sharif Kemal is a vegan bodybuilder and all his muscle is made from raw vegan protein. All vegetables and fruits contain protein, even lettuce and blueberries.. some plants contain much more protein then others. Spirulina has more protein than 'meat' aka dead rotting flesh filled with bacteria and pathogens... The protein content of spirulina varies between 50% and 70% of its dry weight. Perhaps this guy just increased his resistance training to get bigger muscles and it had nothing to do with the type of food intake..Neanderthals ate mostly plants, nuts, seeds, berries.. hunting animals was difficult work and they did it sparingly.

I am definitely a believer in one's mindset.. Positive minds and possibility thinking. And we can change about anything in our lives. Even if we were to be handicapped or limited in some ways there's the usually other possibilities/options that exist. At 67 and recently diagnosed w HBP and High Cholesterol, I embarked on a revamping of my diet, exercise, learning about ketones, Paleo diet, or lifestyle changes to reduce stress/ inflammation. The top priorities are to bring down the cholesterol and HBP, lose weight, reduce inflammation, heal damaged nerves, avoid pollution, chemicals in foods and beverages, stress, and reduce clutter in the home. Learn or relearn how to get ample/good sleep, meditation, do things I truly enjoy while eliminating those I don't care for. I have been recording, tweaking, keeping a detailed journal on most all the foods I eat. And beverages. I drink little milk. Eat much less cheese n meats. I am now finally getting better at planning my daily intake of food. The "numbers" ...
I make sure I exercise, walk, and dancercise daily. Use some hand weights at home, do wall push-ups, aka look for ways to do some resistance exercises in home. I can get down n on the floor with a little more ease. I will try to get back into yoga stretches. Doing chair yoga at the YMCA presently. Hoping to eventually get back to calisthenics. I use a fitness app to track steps. 🚶‍♀️ And, I just signed up for the YMCAs 21 days reset. To help me focused/committed through February. Good luck with each of your personal health and wellness journeys.
Update the twenty one day reset program went very well. Earned my t-shirt. And have lost fifteen pounds I think at least, since the first of the year. 15-20 more to go. Best wishes to everyone iut there. 🤲💞💞💝

Doc is correct about the wild plants. I got interested in that 7 years ago when I saw an Asian man picking wild dandelions along sidewalks in Lawrence Kansas. I looked up eating them, and was led to an enlightening education on wild plants. The most important one was learning about Stinging Nettle. It is among the most nutritional, and medicinal plants on earth. Experts say if it didn't have the stinging spines herbivores would completely eat it into extinction. It's so powerful it is actually used in prostate shrinking meds. It can be cooked, or dried and used as green tea.

And it doesn't have the chemicals in it that modern vegetables have. It grows wild in most countries. Yes, it will sting U if U harvest it incorrectly. Simply use gloves, snip it off, and either dry, or cook it. Both methods destroy the stinging needles. BUT, many cultures actually use the stinging part on their body parts to ELIMINATE arthritis symptoms from joints. It's a powerful plant , medically, and nutritionally.

Cabbage whether red or green and moderate amount of arugula are also my favorites. All soy foods, corn products and potatoes are eliminated from my diet. Organic red onions, garlics, gingers, scallions and turmeric roots and a teaspoon of Manuka honey are my favourites to be added to my hot lemon water and teas. I find it’s very difficult to find nutritional foods while I am outside my home. All restaurants whether high ends or fast food take out cook their foods in ‘junk’ oils like vegetable oils. I can guarantee that no restaurant cooks the food in high quality EVOO.

I was born and grew up in Puglia, the heel of the boot, in South of Italy, now I live in the US. There is still a big culture of wild food where I am from. For me growing up it was a normal activity going with my parents in the country sides with bags and knives looking for wild vegetables: cicoria, wild chicories, the most common. Wild asparagus. Lampascioni, that are wild onion, very bitter, that you have to leave overnight to purge in water before cooking. Mushrooms. Ah, and wild rucola (sorry, I cannot bring myself to call it arugula 😂), it’s so spicy compared to the US supermarket version. Up to today is pretty common to see people selling in front of their door some wild vegetables they have been foraging. And if I start talking about fruits, I could cry. People who never tried a fig from a tree they don’t know what they are missing. When I go back to the local markets there, the first thing I get it’s the smell, smell of fruit: peaches, apricots, watermelons. I miss it so much. But unfortunately also there, a lot of bad habits are taking over: food abundance bring people to overeat, so I see more and more obese people; too much bread, too much pasta and too much sugar. The traditional desserts, most of them made with almond flour, where in the past only common during celebrations and special days, nowadays you can have the at all time. People are used to walk less and are more sedentary. What has not changed for now is that people is still very big on local and seasonal products.

The bottom line.. the standard of care from a doctor is about masking a problem in general, not a cure. Eating and fasting is the cure, excellent gut health is life. I love these videos and even crazier is the comments from friends and family who act like I am crazy when I tell them stuff like ...... don't eat until 3PM most days stop at 6-7PM typically. Do a 5 day fast, and eat very specific foods, and on occasion at friends, eat what ever they serve to be social. I watch these type of videos like they are college courses, and just love the end result in my now 66th year, with wonderful vitality. Blessing to all ..... I am so grateful for the amazing knowledge these folks are bringing to all ....Thank you !

I use to ski with many doctors in Vail, Co. On the lift, they would tell me how they get about 80 days a year on the mountain each season. Many live in incredible ski in /out literally on the hill. That is how to live! They are sharp like Mark and in great shape. Some skied better than me- at least smoother and I've been skiing since I could stand- but only vacation 1 week a year. At the time I lived near Vail for a very fun ski season. I was a more aggressive skier but they are incredible athletes...and many were in their 70's! I was nearly half their age.
Common theme: They had less stress (they were all rich), breathed fresh air daily under the bluest sky you ever saw, exercise daily, and had too much fun and sun. They smiled a lot and ate well. It is really not rocket science.

Hospitals, doctors offices and schools should be places where good nutrition is taught and provided not places that contribute to disease and obesity. It is crazy the hospitals are feeding people the very food that caused the heart disease, high blood pressure or cancer that they are treating. Every person in the hospital should receive some nutrition education before being released. Every doctor visit should be an opportunity to educate patients about how food choices impacts their health outcomes. The fact that doctors do not get nutrition training as part of their training makes no sense. Medicare and Medicaid should require nutrition education as part of patient care. Focus should be on food choices.
