Little tip, the large bipedal robots have a fuel tank on their back. Shoot their backs, it's not only quicker, it also uses less ammo.
And they don't see your flashlight.
If you don't destroy everything on the robot you can get some cool stuff for scopes, ir sensors, heat sensors, and an object penetrating sensor(think there are some others as well)

This game stands out in that it is extremely unforgiving. The enemies NEVER give you a chance at all unlike other games, if you get knocked down they WILL keep shooting while you can't move. Makes killing them all the more satisfying

I wish he realized that this game was built with stealth and environmental warfare in mind
Some people wonder how the Swedish tanks got knocked out. The thing is, the tank relies on sloping rather than thickness. IIRC, it has around 60 mm at most, but due to the sloping, is unimaginably tough to penetrate with an AP round. By comparison, the Soviet Union PTRD 1941 AT rifle can pen 40 mm of steel at 0 degrees (i forgot the range), and it was designed in 1941, so how well do you think 60 mm of armor will do against a large caliber HE round, or something like an RPG? Also, the robots don't have to fire at it from the front, they can get above it, which negates the sloping. And don't forget, shoot something as thin as 60 mm long enough in the same spot, eventually you will get through.

Not to mention this particular tank model (STRV-103) was Sweden’s MBT (main battle tank) which had a single, fixed cannon, and it had to be aimed by turning the hull and increasing or decreasing the ride height of the front and rear of the tank, which meant that if a single bot with a rocket launcher hit the track, then it couldn’t turn its gun, and could easily be destroyed from the sides or rear, combined with the fact that this was the MBT and they had no other tanks available, they would have been taken out very easily.
Edit: forgot to mention, no top MG’s so this tank couldn’t take out small, fast moving targets like ticks and runners, which made it even more easier to take out.
Don't forget that the explosives that the robots (Mostly the tanks and harvesters) fire all have ballistic trajectories, as seen in game where they fire the explosives up and gravity brings it back down onto the target. This would result in the shaped charges landing directly on the roof of the tank, and for those that aren't tank savvy the roof and floor are the weakest parts of a tank. Not to mention with the exception of one tank variant that is armed with a single ultra high power mortar every other robot fires MULTIPLE rockets at the same time. And I don't just mean two or three rockets, you can see in the video above that they fire an entire cluster of rockets at the target. That many shaped charges landing on the roof = Bye bye Swedish tank

@Mentlegen what is more likely scenario? Zombies or alien invasion or machine's going rogue. We're basically right around the corner of something like this happening to us and we keep rushing towards it and very few people are considering repercussions autonomous killing machines.

...And that's why...
Part of it was likely the robots homing in on radio transmissions to hunt down the military in force. The kids not using radio's makes them much harder to track down. The bots clearly broke or had the codes so they could listen in on the military transmitting orders, letting them choose when to engage and with force of numbers. The kids don't, making hunting them down a chore.
Make sense if the robots repaired themselvess

If they survive they get to put survived a robot apocalypse on there resumes, and get to tell there kids about how badass they were to fight gigantic robots in the dead of night through the harsh rain.
Realistically they should be very dead
Also realistically any weapon that fires anything weaker than .308 amor piercing rounds would do nothing to the robots and even then you would only cause any significant damage if you shot them directly in their weak spots.
And the big ones would probably only be phased by .50 Bmg black tip rounds or missiles

Hate to break it to you, not that I disagree with the kids being dead, but machinery has weak points regardless of the armour. There are vents that they need in order to not overheat plus hydrologic lines that they need in order to move as such. Plus, the robots would probably have very limited ammo if they participated in any sort of battle from before.

I can definitely see 5.56mm rounds seriously fucking up the smaller robots and killing them 5 times over, but you're probably right in that the bigger ones would need to be hit with a .50 Cal to go down

"Realistically this is the second part of the map" spot on, first area few runners and hunters nothing too scary, then you wander into the farmlands and all hell breaks loose with about 1 million tanks and harvestars
The moment I saw this comment the first thing I ran into when was the farmland was 2 tanks,8 hunters,a harvester,7 ball machine gun things and 1 wolf
Now with this new April update, you actually have something to fear about the tanks.
also some helpful info I think will never be seen but regardless, for those who don't know when shooting machines, blue shock sparks means you hit a vital organ, yellow sparks means you are hitting armor plating, and the discolored greenish explosion means the machine has been dealt with.
IGP and Icy you may want to have Drae join the team from now on.

Man Generation Zero doesn't cut the player ANY slack at all, it genuinely feels like the machines are trying their 100% best to kill you instead of giving the player a chance like many other video game enemies

@@jasondp3546 I like playing all types with a few exceptions. I'm mainly a console player but i don't mine play PC or Mobile. Especially now that I'm trying to build a career out this. Right now, I'm playing some older games. Currently Battlefield 4 afterwards would either have to be Dying Light or Last of Us again. Since i want to refine my a couple of my video's.

That would be interesting, and it's a sort of nerve center for all the robots and destroying it from within would make them all shut down, it would be cool as a final boss
And if you did a certain sequence of actions inside it you could turn it into a sort of mobile base for the endgame and eventually have to go into a fistfight against another (and btw "Mastermind would be a better name, Leviathan kinda refers to a giant sea snek)
this has got to be the best episode of the whole series, this is the reason I love this game, its amazing battles.

this was the most funniest and action pack episode great job
its easy to kill these tanks, grab some red gas canister, fuel cell or anything explosive, throw a flare away, once it aggro with the flare, run forwards to it and place down a gas canister, back up a bit and shoot the gas canister, Boom! you might need 1 or 2 tries, save you bunch of ammo.
That sticky flare to the door killed me, lmfao!

Honestly the robot's in this game seem like they could rival the robot's from the terminator universe.
They'd probably flatten the robots in the Terminator universe, the robots here are the size of houses

@@shotguntony4730 I don't think any of the terminators are as big as the ones from this game. The only one I can see surviving an attack from the bigger machines in this game is the T-1000, every other terminator would be reduced to gibs in an instant. I mean, the biggest ones in this game can survive multiple hits from an 84mm High Explosive, while most of the Terminators go down after a .50 Cal hit

Theres a ammo increase find perk on the tech tree its the third one I believe it has two tiers; 50% and 100% increase in ammo.
After getting first tier I already found ammo in the 30s and with the second I found all ammo in 60s unless it was special or single shot like buckshot but it increased special ammo drastically.

Love getting this recommended a year later. On another note, I remember just rushing the boss guys over and over again just to get them to level up so I could get better loot.

Another little tip, loot restocks after you get off, if you are lacking something you can go back to a town once you get back on. (p.s. get more health packs and adrenaline shots.)
