    I love HPG packs. Most comfortable gear I have ever used. Completely modular, very versatile.
    Can't really say enough good about them.

    I just got the HPG Ute pack. It's a bit bigger but still airport Carry on with aluminum stays and a free prarie belt that doubles as a detachable patrole belt that takes Alice pouches or Molly

    Hi, Thanks for your reply.
    I was wondering...in comparison to the Kifaru UZ, the TAD Fast Pack EDC is bigger (32L), has a lot of features, no need for an additional frame, better strap system and padding, comes with the transporter tail and is only 40 USD more expensive than the UZ.
    If you buy the UZ with the frame (20 usd) and the "grab it" pocket (42 usd) , it will cost you 362 USD.
    Why do you consider the TAD overpriced? (Although I agree that both packs are very expensive)
    Thanks again for your input.
    I really enjoy all your reviews!!!!

    Awesome pack! I like how compact and close to the body it is. It will help by not getting snagged by a branch while hiking in the woods.

      Living Survival How about a video with you living out of your bug-out bag for 3-4 days in the woods while dodging zombies?

      @livingsurvival  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pendejo The zombie part might be kind of hard but I do plan on a bug out scenario video.

      Living Survival Great! Make it a comprehensive scenario: car flip over in a ditch on a rural road while being hit 6 feet of snow. The federal marshals are on your ass, and the CIA framed you for a crime you wanted to commit but didn't.
      Get creative.

    Great video! Haven't seen anyone do a solid, no nonsense review of this pack to include a proper mention of the compression system. As an aside, I don't know if anyone else covered it in the comments, but HPG has a forum discussing lumbar pack designs and types linked to their site. The one they always seem to come back to as a baseline is the Kifaru Scout which is top notch gear, if a bit on the expensive side.

      Sparky35722 i have been trying to get my hands on a kifaru for while now.

    Great pack! I carry a Mountain Serape in an 812 Stuff sack compressed in the straps on the bottom and a Terapocket inside the rear compression straps. The best!!!

    Thanks my friend, Where did you get the camo dry bag? I go through a dry bag every year hiking on the trails. I use my dry bag to hang my food away from camp. I hike a lot of area's with bears around.

    Now this looks like a nice pack, I was wondering though for another potential pack, the SOG day pack since they do have a reputable brand name that they made with the knives however I'd like to see your input on their packs. Just giving ideas any feedback would be appreciated.

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      101kalazard Their packs are mostly copies of larger brands made in China at affordable prices. They are decent quality and I for the price can be worth it. Really just depends if it fits the bill for what type of pack you want.

      I've looked at it but seems way too overpriced to me.

  • @StarDarkAshes
    @StarDarkAshes 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Seriously though, you have checked out so many packs and if there was one person and they wanted to buy one pack that was around 30 L and really money was no issue because they're in a buy once and cry once which pack would you buy? Because I've been seriously thinking about buying A new backpack. I really was considering van quest but I just don't know. Any ideas?

    • @livingsurvival

    Nice pack. I have been using a 5.11 RUSH 24 pack I won off TH-cam for free.
    Do you have any recommendations for the ultimate Lumbar pack?

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hawaii Volcano Squad Hard to beat a true hiking pack from Arc'Teryx, North Face, Osprey, Mountain Hardware etc, but for a quality more rugged and tactical version I would look at the ILBE Gen2 Military (made by Arc'Teryx)

      Hawaii Volcano Squad Kind of hard to find since GEN1 comes up too, here is what I was talking about amzn.to/1xuyJmb

    • @hawaiivolcanosquad3322
      @hawaiivolcanosquad3322 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was talking about a LUMBAR pack where the pack is around the waist but the straps are still over the shoulder. Better center of balance. Tenzing I think or Badlands are the brands I heard of.

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hawaii Volcano Squad Ahh I gotcha. I have a pack from Alps Outdoors called the Little Bear that is like that, waist pack with shoulder straps. I like it. The Tenzing I 250 looks bad ass. The Badlands Monster is similar as well.
