"Nietzsche's "God is dead" to a nightclubbing beat." - David Bowie TLDR- This live album and dvd is a master piece and I believe it will be admired for centuries as one of the 20th century's most visceral and powerful works of art. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It seems so real that I can't help but believe it is. As the late David Bowie wrote for Rolling Stone, "Nietzsche's "God is dead" to a nightclubbing beat." Yet to see a better description of Reznor's music from the 90s. If I had a time machine, I would definitely go back to the late 90s to see Reznor in his prime - although he was certainly not as physically healthy and probably not emotionally as well as he is now. Perhaps his apparent tormoil is what so many people relate to. It's hard - impossible really, - to say what makes it so special and moving, it''s so visceral and ---- No music has ever come close to this live album in terms of raw emotion and power - for me, Tool Lateralus is really special, but it doesn't click quite the same. Lateralus seems much more at piece with existence whereas AATCHB seems to me like someone struggling with the lack of objective meaning in life, and the anger that despair that comes from it. -
+IronRevolution Twiggy gave the song a more in-your-face rock mood. This rendition is more faithful to the PHM version, save for the distorted guitar, very post 1990 ish.
@@gabrielarias6518 your saying twiggy played it better than danny??? Wow! Gotta disagree with ya there. I can't stand that post robin/danny line-up. It was so mechanical sounding with not even a fraction of the emotion of robin and danny. It was a god send when robin came back and twiggy went away.
@@smahring No mate, not saying that- still like some of Twiggy's rendition of NIN songs, where he appears to come out of a garage, giving the song a more compact sound. As I said, love this synth versions too.

Now i see how way more awesome Twiggy made this song become by playing the bass line
+Janice Henning That's exactly my point haha I was comparing the performance here with the ones with him after 2005
