Not only did he NOT die, he came back ripped AF, dropping hard NIN tracks, composing OSTs for movies, and starting HDA with his new wife. This is a man we should all emulate. A quiet professional who cares about the quality of everything he does.
The song really is very nice! Gives me hella energetic vibes, I left comments about how I discovered this song because of Louis Tomlinson and that I'm grateful for it! :) Huge appreciation and respect towards nine inch nails!

1000%!!! So happy I'm not the only one who feels this way 🤣 When they play Head like a Hole too it just sends me back to childhood playing Doom. Trent was a massive fan of Doom and also did the soundtrack for Quake 1. To this day I consider some his best work and feel like it's starting to show itself in his latest work too.
What you don't experience in videos is how much louder and more intense the song gets after the choruses when the song picks up it knocks you off your feet and you can't help just losing yourself to it
and the visuals have more clarity too. it's great that you can watch a recorded gig on a computer or TV but it still doesn't beat the live show itself :)
It made me know what was gonna happen which kinda ruined the element of surprise but it's still sooo much better in person Shame I have poor eyesight cause Trent was just a blur :(
to be fair, it's very rare you get to see Trent properly until the encore when all the lights come on. the visuals on the song sanctified worked so well, changes the atmosphere completely. NIN are well know to play in heavy lights and dry ice, they do it well as most bands just tend to get lost in it and forget the crowd is even there.
The build up when your there, live, is ETHEREAL!!.....I just saw them 2 nights in a 5,000 seat venue so multiply that by a thousand. Trent still has the passion and you can feel it
As much as I love the NIN *_sound_* , I just don't know many other artists working in the *_visual_* way that Trent does with such effectiveness. The sheer claustrophobic *malevolence* communicated in something as fundamental as the stage lighting and even the way the performers interact with it, just keeps my admiration for him at ridiculous levels.

I was at this show. I have been to many concerts in my years,from Iron Maiden to Ozzy to Megadeth….this performance from NIN was the best show I have ever seen…it felt like the music was going thru my body…cell by cell…but I also did a little bit of shrooms and a few hits of some good weed before going in. This is one I will always remember.
One thing I've always truly loved about Trent Reznor is the fact that he is not pitch perfect, and he fucking owns it. Whether it be on studio work, or live, he fucking owns it. I have so much respect for that.

I've never been a huge NIN fan (and I love industrial music), but you have to admit right here: the way they do the lighting combined with smoke/fog (and it's SO FUCKING MINIMAL in this clip) is genius. It's the opposite of what Rammstein would do, and again, I LOVE how Rammstein does their live shows. I know a folk bass player (from a known band)(not going to name drop here) who saw this tour and he loved it. That says something about the quality of the live experience.
You should have seen the 2008 tour "Lights in the Sky" - an LED lighted scrim around the stage. They played all the tracks they had created pre-The Social Network and did a free downloadable double album of like music (many tracks which informed future movie work with Atticus Ross). Truly an unbelievable time to have seen them.
