HEY Everyone! I just want to say you all are amazing and I am SUPER honored and blessed that you come here and allow me to help you on your journey! Is there any video you want me to make? REPLY TO THIS THREAD WITH THE TOPIC!
Hey Billy thank you for this video. I was wondering if you have ever seen the image shift effect for FCPX. I was wondering if you could create this effect in davinci resolve?
Hi @BillyRybka Very Nice video.. I am a beginner and this helped me a lot. You are jus great. Always to the point. We had a talk on twitter. Hope you make a Animation logo video soon.. Wishing You luck for the future
Hello, I'm an animation student (France) and I learned a lot more things with you + another youtube teacher (Casey Farris) than in school on DaVinci Resolve. I want to learn Fusion to become less dependant of After Effects and Premiere. Thank you for doing this, have a good day
Dude this is awesome, I love learning new things that I didn't know about and tip one is fire it's a game changer...I wish I knew about remote grades earlier.
I love your video very interesting, and easy to follow. I have one question about Tip no.7, not work for me, Ctrl+B always cut the active video track (even if this feature is disabled or enabled) any idea?
Billy, you are a natural educator. Your videos are extremely easy to follow and understand. Your content goes beyond the norm. I highly recommend your videos. Being new to Resolve (tired of forking over money for Pr), I have viewed numerous other videos including paid videos. I like your videos best and I have now stopped looking for a tutor. Thank you!
Hello Billy, I just subscribed 😁 Thank you for sharing such great tutorials like this one with valuable tips! Keep up that great enthusiasm with your videos! 👏😄
These were indeed great and important tips! Thanks! In regard to the last tip (cache), for some reason it did NOT show a location. Instead it seemed to prompt me to create one (which I did). Let's see ...
Hey you did a one key cut? How do you set that up? I've followed a bunch of tutorials on this topic but none of them work. Would appreciate your help with this! Cheers
I only just figured out duplicate this morning, watching someone else doing a tutorial. Can't believe I haven't figured it out already after using davinci for about 3 months now! Funny to see you talk about it on the same day!
Hey, I just wanna say thanks so much for all your videos. Thanks to your content I was able to get started on editing with Resolve and it makes my videos a lot better, thanks to your tutorials
I subscribled :D tnx man! By the way, any plans to do a lighting tutorial? I love the way you go about your lighting and was looking to learn how you are able to achieve such good lighting in all your videos and white balance etc
Thanks billy, I saw in your video the footage which call Hong Kong , I love this video so much , is possible you show us how it be color graded . Thanks
Hey, great vids! When I add let's say b roll on top of a clip, trim the clip then delete it, it deletes everything underneath. Do you know where I can change this setting? Thanks!
Thank you so much for all your amazing video guides. These videos are very instructive, and interesting. As an amateur and self-taught Resolve user, your videos are some I look forward to every time.
I LOVE TIP NR 9!!! I liked the others as well but I love to be organized and am always annoyed when I label everything precisely and then I import and have to do it all over again. Thanks so much!
Amazing tips!! Thanks!!!👏👏👏I have a tip for you: if you enable TH-cam subtitles in your videos, more people from around the world will be able to follow your channel more easily. Thanks for the amazing tips!
Hi Billy, I really find your tutorials very useful. I'm very new to video editing. I can't wait for more in-depth tutorials. I would also love to hear about your top favorite Davinci Code 17 Updates for the free version. That is the one I have and unfortunately, I don't think I have access to smart reframe which looks amazing. I'd also love more in-depth on the remote color grades how to use it and other examples of how you can use adjustment clips. I'm very new to fusion (well everything lol) so I'd love to see how you made your pop-up animation. Thank you again and keep up the energy!
It's easy just select you subtitle. Click on the keyframe icon and type 1.2 on size and go to frames forward. Then change the size to 1.15. you can also go to layers and add the second and third layer which adds a lot more depth to said subtitles
Great stuff here, one think for Mac people, Task Manager is a PC thing, You hit Option/Command/Escape on a Mac, this allows you to force quit, which is basically the same thing😀
Woow thanks man quite useful tips. I got a request, maybe you have alredy but would you be willing to do a tutorial on working in 3D space. I know there are a lot of vids on his but I find yr tutorials easy to follow
Bravo!! I had no idea of the CacheClip folder. After deleting it, I recovered 90 GB! Thank you so much for these tips. I was about to buy another external HD.
Amazing tips man! You should put out a seamless transition pack or something that covers the basic zoom, whip pan, and rgb (not the purple and green colors) transition presets. I am almost fully switched to Davinci but I still find myself going back to premiere to finish transitions on videos because some of the Davinci Transition packs look too cheesy. Also, can you stack transitions like you can in premiere? One of my favorite things about premiere is the flexibility you have with stacking transitions through adjustment layers, does it really work the same with adjustment clips? Once I am happy with transitions on Davinci I am never looking back to premiere lol keep up the great work Billy!
... I have a problem Billy... I've tryed your 2. tip with saving your adjustment clip to power bins and everything seemed ok, but then when i draged my adjustment clip (with fusion effects) the effect didnt appeared. The adjustment clip ,,spawned'' on timeline and in fusion tab nodes of the effect also ,,spawned''... But effect didnt appeared... I have a feeling that the problem is with keyframes... If you have any idea, how to solve this problem, I would be VERY happy, because i cant save my presets with this problem... :( Thank you for this awsome video! other tips were really helpfull! Keep doing it!
I've been struggling with hard drive space for at least the last 4 months and went to check my cache after watching this video... I just cleared up 422 GB of space off my 2 TB drive. Like holy cow, I never would've imagined xD
Hey Billy thanks a lot for all these great content learnt a lot from your video from day 1 May I know your all around pc specs please Im looking to build a new pc
I like your videos man! Just started out with Resolve after coming from Powerdirector on my phone and your videos are so clear and offer a lot of information. Thanks! Subbed and bel iconed! :)
Thanks Billy for your efforts. I am puzzled by several points you try to make. In my Davinci Resolve by default hitting the Y key selects all clips to right of play head on a specific track and alt Y does it on all tracks. Trying to do adjustment clips my Inspector looks different than yours. I have no tab to name my Adjustment clip for example.
Subscribed!!! great information. On a side note with the cache folder, I just looked at mine and it is 400 gigabytes... DO you only erase it after you are done with the current project...? I made some proxies once and noticed my Desktop drive kept giving me a warning that my disc was full and I started copying things to an external HD as I was in a project...How does it effect the current project if I erase the files in the cache? Thanks man!! Love the tips
Hi Billy. I can't find information explaining why there can be several video tracks on the timeline at the same time when editing. i.e. V1, V2, V3, etc.. I don't see the purpose, because in the end it will just be one single video track.
Hai Billy, - One question about the deleting of cache, IF you also hit UPPERCASE, you bypass the garbage bin.... and the files are completely gone :-) - True - false?? I hope it helps!
HEY Everyone! I just want to say you all are amazing and I am SUPER honored and blessed that you come here and allow me to help you on your journey!

Awesome tips, thank you so much!!!! I learned a lot of new things!!!No more copy and paste
only had about 563gb of cache to delete!! So much to learn still, Thank you!
I have learned the best of DaVinci Resolve because of this Amazing dude! Much love to your hardwork ❤🙌🏼
camed to the "Adjustment clip" part... instantly liked. Thank you!
Great job Brother! Your teaching style is finely tuned to my learning abilities.
Great to hear! I really try to make it as smooth and clear as possible :)

Thanks alot, really great tips!
Thank you for this! I haven't even used Resolve a lot, but my harddrive is tiny so the last tip really made a difference!
I only just figured out duplicate this morning, watching someone else doing a tutorial. Can't believe I haven't figured it out already after using davinci for about 3 months now! Funny to see you talk about it on the same day!

Pop up animation like subtitles

1:05 Why are some of your clips different colors? Like the orange blue and green bar under the clips and what is it useful for
Great stuff here, one think for Mac people, Task Manager is a PC thing, You hit Option/Command/Escape on a Mac, this allows you to force quit, which is basically the same thing😀
Billy's great! Thank you!
Billie, is there a way to apply a VST plug-in effect to multiple clips similar to how adjustment clips work or something similar?
This channel is so useful helping me develop my editing, udeserve a bigger audience!
Woow thanks man quite useful tips.
