I think the problem is that big companies nowadays don’t want to take risks and try to innovate… they just want to make more money. Mirrors Edge wasn’t that popular of a game because it wasn’t your typical Call of Duty or similar type of game. It was an experiment, which is a big financial risk for a video game studio and publisher. We will never have a game as unique as this, or games like the ones that came out during this era, because the games that are made today are financed by people unwilling to take risks on things that are unique

One part of my life i worked on rooftops installing gsm antennas and one day we where working on a rooftop of a 13 story high building it was actually 2 buildings next to each other one 1 meters lower then the other with 2 identical air conditioning systems in the same place on both roofs and i was jumping up and down the two buildings working for some reason i thought i was on the higher roof and i wanted to jump down and something like a force of energy hit my head and said LOOK OUT then i realized i was on the lower roof almost jumped 13 levels down this song reminds me of that day mirrors edge the 2 identical roofs i,m blessed to be alive when i go to sleep i still see myself falling sometimes so whatever you do in life look out and take every day like it's your last one peace out

this was always a game that was semi alive in the background of my life, but never owned it or played the entire thing. I remember seeing trailers and, it was the same year i joined the 360/PS3 crowd- it gave me this emense sense of wonderment, like "wow games are just going to keep trying to be unique, fun, and fun to look at it this is what I have to look forward to forever." I had a free game trial for it however, probably about 13 years ago, and was amazed that this was where the dubstep version i loved so much came from. I'm enjoying playing the whole thing now.
This game was a product of its time. After seeing how inconsistently DICE handled Catalyst a large part of me believes it’s best left where it is. We can go back to 2008 playing this, and you know what? That’s just fine with me.

Every modern game has to point out to you that the protag is a woman, when here she was just a great character. Probably one of the very last AAA games to not even have any multiplayer. This used to be my go-to game to play when I wanted to relax from kicking ass on Call of Duty Black Ops 1 lol. Mirror's Edge is still a great game to this day containing beautiful landscapes, great soundtracks, and unique gameplay that other games barely compare to.

this was always a game that was semi alive in the background of my life, but never owned it or played the entire thing.
I remember seeing trailers and, it was the same year i joined the 360/PS3 crowd- it gave me this emense sense of wonderment, like "wow games are just going to keep trying to be unique, fun, and fun to look at it this is what I have to look forward to forever."
I had a free game trial for it however, probably about 13 years ago, and was amazed that this was where the dubstep version i loved so much came from.
I'm enjoying playing the whole thing now.
This game was a product of its time. After seeing how inconsistently DICE handled Catalyst a large part of me believes it’s best left where it is. We can go back to 2008 playing this, and you know what? That’s just fine with me.
yeah, catalyst definitely took another approach that took it far away from the 2008 mirror's edge, don't get me wrong catalyst can be a fun game but og is definitely a unique game worth revisiting.
Still come back here for some unreal nostalgia… I was literally 5 when this came out.

I can’t believe this game is 10 fucking years old. Great memories. And THIS is how you do a female protagonist well. Every modern game has to point out to you that the protag is a woman, when here she was just a great character.
Probably one of the very last AAA games to not even have any multiplayer. Times have really changed
I'm really glad after 6 years of playing this game, this song suddenly popped in my head and searched it right away, it felt so nostalgic and having goosebumps :'> Thanks to this game made my childhood awesome even tho I had no friends back then, video games are always there for me to make my day.

This used to be my go-to game to play when I wanted to relax from kicking ass on Call of Duty Black Ops 1 lol. Mirror's Edge is still a great game to this day containing beautiful landscapes, great soundtracks, and unique gameplay that other games barely compare to.

I used to listen to this years ago, but I only remembered about it again after finally being able to try this game on Game Pass. I have no nostalgia for the game, but I do for this song, and it HITS.
