I have an American Button 1" machine that I've used for hundreds of button magnets and pins. I had the same problem with mylar sticking out, and rather than sending the machine back for repair, I solved the problem by pushing the parts together while pressing the lever (hard to explain). A nuisance, but it worked.
When this came out over the summer on HSN they had a wonderful $99 deal for the entire package. After reading the reviews I am glad I did not jump on the bandwagon.

I have it and I only use non we r memory buttons since you can get 500 buttons for 13.00... a lot cheaper than we r memory ones. I have no issues at all and all the buttons have worked for me, Just make sure you buy the correct ones. Purchase by cm sizes and do not go by inches since it is not 1 inch but .98 inches. I have never made buttons prior so I can not compare it to others. I love that it does different sizes for the same price of a machine that does a single size and it saves on craft room essential space. The myler issue might be an issue with the WRMK since I have yet to use my samples and only use the ones I purchased in bulk. Also, mine did come with instructions but I rather watch a you tube video than read them. Thanks for the video!
You know this is one I've been looking for since you showed it in Creativation. I've wanted a button maker for years but I don't have a large use for it and therefore I couldn't find a reason to get an expensive one. That's why this one excited me so much. Thank you for the tutorial. I have the same challenge. I own another button press and it does not separate. However, it only makes 1.5 inch. I love the square.

So I did go out afterwards and bought the Mophorn button maker, the 1 inch one. I love it. It’s much easier to use and less steps.
I’ve been interested in the morphorn maker. Did you see if the supplies (buttons and maybe keychain/mirror accessories) from We r memory keepers work well when used on your morphorn press? Curious cuz I like the accessory addons from we r memory but not sure if it’s worth it while I’m set on buying morphorn
Thanks for the review. I have not even thought about making buttons just like I had not thought about needing to mold plastic. However, I feel like I am beginning to see a bit of a pattern for WRMK. Even the Crop a Dial has a problem with the little pieces of paper after a hole is punched. I really appreciate the time you put into these videos. I will definitely be thinking twice before buying any of their machines in the future. Crafting stuff is expensive enough as it is without putting money into something that doesn't work properly.
Many comments on my videos state that WRMK has a track record of making either a great successful tool or a great failure of a tool. I don't think the Button Press is a failure, but I do think it could use tweaking.

i returned mine and im a huge WRMK fan i have all their punch boards but i just couldnt make a good button and i ruined so many buttons trying to make it work i was so frustrated i just returned it :-(
I guess my biggest concern, other than the Mylar issue. Is what happens when they quit making the supplies for the machine to make those buttons. I have noticed, they are on to the next thing pretty quickly. Does it just become another dust collector?? We all have things we regret buying lol. Great review, Good Luck.
I checked to buy some extra domes on Ali express and people comented that some work great with this machine and are way cheaper. I haven't bought any to test myself yet.

Hi Lolly! I just received my WRMK button press so I've been watching a lot of TH-cam videos on how to use it ect. I noticed this video was made a year ago so you probably already know by now that the white paper clip backing goes into the press and is pressed on (like the pin back) and not adhered with the sticky foam. Thought I'd share just incase you didn't already know. 😊 Thanks for the great tutorial on all the different parts.

Best review I’ve seen...there’s so much difficulty using the cutting piece. I’m thinking about using my big cutter to create the image circles and bypass the cutting section completely. Thoughts on that? I’m interested in purchasing the button press..
@@LollyPalooza Yes, exactly. Another youtuber measured the exact sizes as follows: Small - 1 and 3/8; Medium - 1 and 7/8 and Large at 2 and 3/4. For me, using the Cricut would seem easier. My button press is due next week!!

This was a really good review. Just a heads up, there are instructions for how to make the mirror at the we r website. The ring goes in the lower assembly as does the mirror. The process is just different enough from the regular button process to throw us off.
Is the hand mirror only held together with glue or sticky foam? I wanted to buy this to sell hand mirrors but I cant find any clear reviews of the mirror alone. If it's only held together with glue or sticky foam, I don't think that is worth it at all :(

Gosh so sorry to learn your problems with the WRMK Button Press. I did get one when it was the TSV on HSN and My HUBBY has made loads of buttons as gifts....all sizes and using photographs on them as well as has made me some flair buttons for my scrapbook layouts.....and he never had an issue with the mylar not working and he put it on each and everyone....and everyone loves them. We did get direction on a phamplet with out machine and that's what he used to learn it. Gosh I wonder why the directions weren't included with yours. that's a shame!!! we finally were able to get all the rest of the products to use with the button press. I'm thinking maybe your machine isn't working correctly....maybe they'll send you a new . Again, sorry yours didn't work properly. YOU ROCK! Oh I wanted to add that my BFF got one too....and LOVES it and has made oodles and oodles of buttons and the places she makes cards that they sell them she's made buttons to go with them and they turned out adorable.. I don't know but after watching your reviews of the latest WRMK products it seems that maybe their quality is failing a bit. I love a lot of their tools, just not into these last two you've shared. Really don't make flair anyway so not a loss for me. TFS!!
For the best, most durable, and consistently reliable button making machine, I go with the Tecre, which is sold by American Button Machine and Button Boy. However, they only do one size button, so for instance if you want 1" and 1.5" buttons, you need to buy a machine for each. That's why this WRMK one is very practical.
American Button. The one inch maker machine is like $300. I used their brand and found it to be the best. HIGH QUALITY and much less casualties when making buttons. 💯
The person who sent this to me also sent 3 buttons she made, and one had the mylar sticking out. I'm starting to wonder if the mylar is shifting during the swinging around of that arm.

Good lord, all that clicking, switching, adding, sliding and the end results are 'cruddy buttons' that you can't even sell or gift! I'll pay the extra money and buy The Button Maker. It states that his is made in the US. Which should mean that you can use American made supplies with this? So is the 1" metric (which sounds more like China made??)
The strange thing is that they have changed the sizes a pinch. For instance, as I mention in the video, the shape of the dome is off from other brands, so the domes don't work in this machine. Also, their small button is 0.98" instead of an inch.
Not - for - me. I can see me wanting to throw this through a window out of frustration. I do appreciating your excellent review of the product, however.

It's definitely over priced. You can get the heavy metal button maker instead of this plastic version that is made from much cheaper material for the same price or less from Amazon. I'm Canadian and I can get it for $130 Canadian....that's about $3 U.S. 🤣
compared to the heavy duty button makers which are about $350 per size of button, this can be pretty affordable, but if you're only making an occasional button, it's probably not worth it.

I think if you get the small and medium button attachments, you'll like it. The large one is the one many people are struggling with.

by "big cutter" do you mean a digital cutting machine like a Cameo or Cricut? You could do that -- just need to get the exact size!

I have learning disabilities so I know.
Once you learn how to do this, you'll just go nuts.
It's a little too pricey for me, don't think I would get enough use out of it to make it worth the price.

After awhile it just "clicks" in my mind, and I don't have to think about it while doing it
way way too expensive
compared to the heavy duty button makers which are about $350 per size of button, this can be pretty affordable, but if you're only making an occasional button, it's probably not worth it.
