  • **NOT FOR KIDS**
    **THIS VIDEO IS INTENDED FOR ADULT CRAFTERS***
    Hi, Everyone!! Sorry I haven't posted any projects of late. I have been busy with family. My daughter is turning 16 in a couple of months and it's all about her right now. We are revamping her room, you could say. Her Sweet 16 Birthday during the pandemic, poor girl!!!
    I promise I will do a project share this weekend, hopefully. Definitely a DT project will be coming!!!
    Today's video is about my button making journey. I'm not trying to get you all to buy this Button Press!!! The purpose of my video is to help those who already have this Button Press and/or is still trying to create buttons without frustration. I am learning along the way on how to create buttons perfectly with this machine. I admit this machine needs some revising. But, it will serve it's purpose in the mean time. I still have time to return the machine if I wanted to. But I don't want to. And, for those of you who cannot return yours or are not wanting to return yours, I hope you find this video helpful.

    I got this for my Christmas! If you put your We R Memory keepers die in your button press about a third of the way, press it down and keep working your way around, it will work. I love the designs you used. They are gorgeous

    I’ll be perfectly honest with everyone. The problem is that we didn’t buy the $300 machine. If you really want perfect buttons, mirrors, keychains and all the wonderful projects you can do with little to no effort that is the machine to buy in my opinion. I myself have bought three machines but not the $300 machine. I wanted to save money. I have had problems with all three. So if making buttons is not a serious endeavor I would think the WRM Keepers button maker has some advantages such as, there are three different size die heads to make three different size buttons. You can easily buy supplies that fit your machine.Can’t tell you the problems trying to find supplies that fit your machine if it is not USA made. If WRM Keepers can work out the kinks it’s a pretty good machine for the average crafter. This again is my opinion. Sorry for the length of this reply.

      Wow, so it's not just the WRMK machines that have problems too. Could you tell me which machines you bought? I've only looked at the one's from Amazon: Vevor,Tecre, and the expensive $300 dollar ones from another company that is not on Amazon. I'm sure WRMK will come up with a better machine eventually. Hopefully, it will still be about the same price point as this one. I will definitely upgrade to that when it comes out. For now, this one works for me. It's not perfect every single time, but if I'm careful and pay attention, I would say the success rate is pretty high. I definitely bought this one for the price point and the fact that it has 3 different sizes in one machine. I don't have storage for 3 machines. It was a compromise for me since my kids would most likely use the larger size insert and I like the small sizes for my paper crafting. I appreciate your thoughts on this. I'm seriously not trying to sell this brand. I'm just trying to figure out how to tweak the problems, since I don't want to return it. Yes, I'm a bit obsessed with trying to make it perfect and you're absolutely right that it will never be 100 % perfect. But, I'll take 95%,LOL! I'm not selling my buttons, so I'm ok with it. Sorry, I guess my reply got lengthy too. LMBO!!!

    Good ideas, also try placing your machine on a lower table to give yourself more leverage.

    • @happymailqueen

      Thank you for that input. I actually stand when I do my buttons, most of the time. It's the same when I'm using my Cropadile Big Bite or other WRMK punch boards, so I'm used to standing when I need that extra effort to punch or press. LOL!! TFW, Hugs!

    awesome video! i just took the plunge and ordered mine. i am wondering if anyone found a good refill that works with it? i know they made it so only their product works but people are crafty...maybe there is a hack to get others to work, i hope! thanks for sharing!

    Thank you for your honest review. Do you know someone that makes dies and could make the sizes of buttons .

    • @happymailqueen
      @happymailqueen  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sadly, I do not know who makes custom dies with these sizes. I'll have to check with Alina Craft. I believe Alina Craft came out with another stitched circle die set. Once I get my design team package, I will measure them, and if they have the same sizes, I can do an update video. I'll have to check Alina Craft video too. She usually measures them on her new release videos for the month. I don't remember if she did or not for the July release. TFW, Hugs!

    It’s just a shame that WRMK couldn’t make a better product. When pressing down the lever it shouldn’t dislocate your shoulder. This machine should be perfect because the consumer is spending alot of money for it.

    • @happymailqueen
      @happymailqueen  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, that is true!! It should be perfect! debated whether to keep it or return it at one point, but I wanted to keep it after I got the replacement. And, I now know how to make buttons without ruining them; and I actually am not pressing that hard anymore. Trust me, I don't want to injure myself like others have. I sure hope they revise it soon, so other's can actually use it with ease. It definitely has a learning curve. Luckily, I found a way to make it work for me. Just can't justify buying 3 different sized machines and spending over $300 to $400 dollars, unless I was going into business making and selling buttons, like some are actually doing! For me, it's worth keeping. I will have to spend some money for refills, but I'm definitely not ruining buttons like I did the first time. And, I was very happy with Scrapbook.com replacing my supplies and defective machine the first time I bought it. The small insert, really was defective. Yes, it still has defects, like the round cutting dies, useless!, but again, I found another way around it. Thanks for your input. I appreciate it. Enjoy your Labor day weekend!! Hugs!!

    • @marianneblagoue5760
      @marianneblagoue5760 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m happy that it is working for you, but you should let WRMK know that they need to tweak a few things. I believe that is the only way a company can improve on their products.
      Enjoy your Labor Day Weekend! 😊💕

      Thank you for explaining. Like you I was thinking of buying one because it seems more cost effective than having to buy different size ones individually. And I have circle punches that should work. I love punches, so much easier than dies. But what I was wondering is can you buy the supplies for the buttons from other companies? I haven’t looked into it enough and was wondering if someone has, could they let me know? Because that would be where the greatest savings is. Thank you!
