    I am really glad you did this video. I have the same thing and I am VERY GLAD I could now use plastic backing. I also have trouble some times with the plastic. I will be ordering more of the medium and large button blanks. I thought I had to use We Are Memory Keepers brand only. THANK YOU...

    You are such fun to watch. Love your tutorials so informative, keep giving me so much to think about. Also, I am a sewer and love making my own fabric buttons for my outfits.

    Looks like a good alternative to use.
    I had a button press back in the day . I used to make fabric covered buttons. Used to make the centers of flowers. I didnt use acetate, just the fabric. Great for using scraps. I had to cut the fabric before using. My press didnt cut paper or fabric.
    Thanks for sharing!

    Thanks for the heads up on the DP Season's Greeting Dies. Got them ordered. Really appreciate you!!! I can remember when my kids were in sports and we moms made buttons with their pictures on them and wore them to all their sporting events. What good memories. Have a great weekend.

      LOL! So true! Luckily, none of these actually didn't work. I tucked in that small area of the first one I made, and it looked perfect. Then I took the plastic off that other one...and now they all work and look great! I'll keep practicing! TYSM!!

    Maybe you could cover the one the plastic was removed from with mod podge. Also was wondering if you single side laminated before you cut it out if it would work better than the plastic cover. Just my thoughts.

    HI! So you mentioned that some people were having problems with the large button press. I bought this from HSN in 2020, and am embarrassed to say I just used it the other day. Yes, almost 2yrs later. Out of all the samples for the large button, none came out nicely. All had the mylar sticking out, paper sticking out, it was horrible. The large button attachment left indentions inside my press. BUT I contacted We R memory and talked to a support tech and he is sending me a new button press, a new large button press mold and large buttons. WOW! So if you have an earlier version like mine you should try it and contact support if you have problems. I'm thinking some thing was wrong with mine. Just wanted to put this out there in case you're in my boat. Take care all!!!!

      Hi Melanie, thank you so much for sharing. I just purchased the large button press part along with the things to go with it and I'm having the same problem. I'm
      so frustrated. I will try calling them also. Hopefully they can help me. I had to throw so many of them away. smh

      TYSM! That is the little pickle, isn't it? I have had my eye on a button maker for years, so I finally popped. It's fun. We will see how/why/when I'll use it! (:

    I'm gonna have to check out your demo of the button maker. I often think they could be fun to do personalized ones. I know as a teen I liked displaying them on my jeans jacket! 😁 Yup, I'm dating myself 😂🤣

    I am assuming that by now you have realised that when it didn’t work its because you didn’t turn the badge side to B? I have other badge making machines, very expensive ones and they don’t always work, especially the 58mm. So really this is well worth its money I think.

  • @lnk6704
    @lnk6704 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    the horizion line on the top part is also turned, so thats why its not lining up the same as orignal "a-a" "b-b" is turned

    Add a little bit of double sided tape and it will help with the movement. That should help with the plastics not going all the way in.. or at least it has helped me. I appreciate you showing the backs mine are not lining up correctly you helped me see it. Thanks!

    • @YolandaPE
      @YolandaPE 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Where do you put the double sided tape? I'm having problems with the 58mm buttons, the plastic doesn't go in, and if it does, the backing is a little bit loose

    I need to get out my button press. I had good results with it. I need to make some Halloween buttons for my grandkids. I think I used thick paper last year and it was fine. (update: Do not use thick paper. ) I am so happy your buttons turned out. Yes, the mylar part sometimes does not bend over far enough.

    • @VianneyCreates
      @VianneyCreates  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Isn't that interesting. When I first tried it out, the thicker paper didn't do so well. In this video, I used different thicker weight papers and it worked! Go figure! TYSM, Marilyn!

    • @Marilynlovesebiking
      @Marilynlovesebiking 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VianneyCreates well, I spoke too soon. It has taken three tries to make a large button with thick patterned paper. And now the button is stuck in the bottom circular base and won’t come out. I do think the paper is too thick. Ack! Ooh, I just saw a TH-cam video that We R memory keepers has an altered paper clip press too for the button press.

    I found that if you put a piece of tape or glue when cutting the circle with the die cutter you get better results and still spin the paper.

    - Oh oh for the square ones. Cut the CORNERS off. Up to the edge.. cause it never shows.. and the Mylar crimps better without the paper at the corners.. (use your Cricut machine to cut them “print and cut function”.
    Or for the corners.. use regular scissors to cut the corners. (That red/magenta Red square button cutter really is not good at all). 😢
