I live in Pensacola and work on the naval base. I'm retired Air Force and even as an AF guy, the naval museum is awesome. Blue Angels have a homecoming show usually the first week of November so you might want to check theor schedule out. They also practice on Tuesday and Wednesday. Also recommend looking at Ft Pickens National Park. It's out on the beach and the campgrounds are really neat. Also has alot of history. Just food for thought...
Thank you so very much. I've heard Ft Pickens is a great place to watch their practice but my concern for the campground is the 12 foot height clearance warning they state on the website. I'll look into it. We can't wait to get there. Appreciate your "inside" info.
@@bigtruckbigtravelsonly 12 ft height clearance I can think of is the actual entrance station slight overhang. Other than that, there is no overhead issue that I can see and I've been out there numerous times. Now there might be an overhang issue at the end where the actual Fort is but you wouldn't drive the Big Rig down there anyway, you would bike or drive the car to visit that section. There is some beautiful bike riding in that area also.
How exciting!!! This video is like the behind-the-scene of a new season of my favorite TV show. The tours, the boondocking, the animal sightings, the stickers, the water-touches, the dad jokes, the spreadsheets. the meta-planning, the frugality, the Whataburgers, .... Bring 'em on!
We had a great Christmas our oldest Grand son came home on leave from the Army. He went in 9/11/23. We got to go see him graduate from basic in SC 12/22/23. We are very proud of him. He’s going to be a diesel mechanic. Plus he’s going air borne
All right! We'll be there for about a month or so. We volunteered at Yellowstone for 4 months back in 2019 and really enjoyed the area. Went to Bozeman for our big grocery shopping!
You guys are perfect for each other and make a perfect couple. I love your videos. I stop watching a lot of videos because of the voices of the people making the videos. I have loved all of the videos I have watched so far.
Your house is so warm and cozy inside! Having a really good kitchen brings everything together for a homey look. The heart of the home. My husband and I had too big a house, and where were we hanging and talking, in the kitchen! The prettiest room in the house. Exact same granite and cabinets as yours which is so funny. But that house sold the first day on the market because we scrimped on nothing! Big homey eat in kitchen! And made money on the investment!
Too funny. We think the kitchen is where everyone ends up all the time! Thank you, we really enjoy our home and love being home. That's great about the sale. Always a stressful time so glad it sold quickly. 🙂
We love following you guys. We'll be doing our Alaska trip this year and have watched all your Alaska videos a couple of times. When you go through PA, do NOT miss the Flight 93 Memorial. We actually spent a day and a half there last year.
Have watched all of your Alaska travels. We have driven from Ohio to Alaska 3 times and hope to do it again in 2024. We look forward to traveling every week with you. Safe travels.
If you are going to Gettysburg Pa. this year you need to go to Shady Maple in East Earl Pa. It is one of the best smorgasbords & largest going. They are not open on Sundays. They do serve breakfast, lunch, & dinner everyday is something different. All you can eat prime rib on Wednesdays after 4pm. Also there is a store in the basement. You will love it.
I am so excited to be "Seeing" so much of your beloved country. Being legally blind and almost deaf i love this Arm Chair traveling. Seeing things i would Never be able to see otherwise on my big screen. Smiles and a Happy New year. Safe journeys from B.C. =)
That warms our hearts to have you along and enjoying the journey with us. Means a lot and one of the reasons we started this channel was to share our experience with those who can't travel and to help others on their path to RV travel. Thank you very much.
When in Twin Falls, look up how close you would be from Stanley (Sawtooth Mts), Redfish Lake, and Salmon ID. South of TF is City of Rocks, Pomerelle Ski Resort. Check Burley to see when the boat races are happening on the Snake River. That’s where we grew up!
If you like covered bridges and you are travelling on I80, You might make a stop in Princeton, IL which is right on I80. They have a beautiful red covered bridge right next to a very nice county park. Princeton is an very old Civil War related historical town that hosted some of the Lincoln/Douglas debates and also has an historical home called the "Owen Lovejoy Homestead". Mr Lovejoy was a prominent abolitionist and his home was a stop on the underground railroad. Very interesting tour.
Love seeing you. Great schedule coming up. Happy travels. I am single rv owner. My husband passed away so I am pulling my trailer after selling motor home. I am retired and loving life
We are from Tucson and greatly loved watching your Alaska trip since we are planning our trip there when my husband retires. Make sure you plan to visit the 50th Anniversary of the Tucson Gem and Mineral show if you are here in the beginning of February. Be advised that the border crossing at Lukeville, AZ going down to Rocky Point, Mexico is currently closed.
Lukeville boarder crossing is open again beginning 1/4/24 (thank god). Definitely include Puerto Penasco in your travels. You will love it!!! @@bigtruckbigtravels
Well when you are down here in Tucson, if you haven’t been down at the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum, we would be honored to take you there. See the animals and possible lunch at the cafe!
😊 That energetic and dramatic opening by David drew me in and had me on the edge of my seat! 😉 I think I saw downtown Chicago and Brooklyn in that scrolling list. Ahhhhhh, might not plan that for anytime soon. Danger, Danger, Will Robinson! Savannah area is wonderful.
Thank you! I enjoy that opening so I had to use it! We'll plan the Chicago and Brooklyn/Manhattan visit very carefully but it's a fun place to visit...you just have to be careful and aware of your surroundings. We're excited to see Savannah.
Oh and every Saturday they have a market in the parking lot of the Joshua tree park building, it’s not huge but they have some produce and ppl grilling and a coffee truck and all kinds of trinkets and Mexican food

24 is looking awesome! It’s awesome that your guys are going to be Savannah in 24. I live about 30 mins from there. I’d love to see your HDT in person. Really cool rig. Love the channel. Keep it up guys!
Loved the beginning and end of this video. I’m looking forward to your 2024 trip west and especially the Southern California piece as we are planning to take a trip out there this year. The itinerary made my head spin with the criss crossing across the country but since it is 12 months worth of travel, it kinda makes sense. See you next week!
With the eclipse, family reunion and the HDT rallies we'll attend (and present seminars) then it sort of worked out to be several coast to coast trips. 😀
We visited the Flight 93 memorial in Pennsylvania today. Very moving. Definitely worth a stop. It looked like you were passing right by it. Safe travels!
We visited Gettysburg this year, stayed at drummer boy campground its a thousand trails campground its a nice place and close to downtown but there's a lot of out of level sites so beware. If you make it be sure to do a bus tours they tour the entire battlefield with a guide it's lots of fun and extremely informative.
Sounds like 2024 will take you on quite the journey. Looking forward to tagging along. Glad to see some Canadian destinations on your rolling bucket list.
In the very Northeast corner of Ohio, there is the nations largest D Day Reenactment. We also have the longest and shortest covered bridges. We have 19 covered bridges.
Wow! Didn't realize that. Ok... I'll have to add that as a future visit. Not sure we'll get it this year... but appreciate your comments. Thanks for watching the channel. 😁
2024 is looking pretty good! Hope you get a lot of windshield video while traveling (the drive is just as much a part of the vacation for me as the destination) because this country is so beautiful to see from the road. Quartzsite tips; Gotta get pizza from Silly Al's Pizza. And, Coyote Fresh Foods has a hot food counter to order lunch (I was just there and they were serving fried cod or fried chicken, with mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans... there was a line waiting to order it was so good). In nearby Bouse, AZ (35 minutes away from Quartzsite) the Roadrunner Market has a nice produce section to shop at. I may get a chance to go back to Quartzsite in January (I already have a trip planned to Safford, AZ) but if I do and happen to see you camped out there I'll see if you're outside and available to say "Hi!" Oh, and Google Whataburger in the Phoenix area on your way through... I think of you guys when I stop for a burger here lol. Happy New Year! Cheers! Pete in Arizona - KI7LIL
We've been to Q several times but have never stopped at Silly Al's. We'll have to try it this time. We've stopped at a Whataburger in Phoenix...I think it was near the Costco south a little of downtown. Thanks for the tips. Maybe we'll see you at the Q.
Wow, sounds like a great travel plan, I mean tours for 2024! I liked the introduction on how/ when you started full time RVing. Only 8000 miles with Voyager…he is feeling a little bit neglected…ha,ha that’s funny. I like spreadsheets too 😊. Once I made a made a spreadsheet for my sister how/where to plant bushes in her garden based on when they are are blooming, what colors etc. it turned out very well, I am sure Sondra would have liked that 😊. I like your tour very much lots of interesting places. I saw UP Michigan on your bucket list. Maybe we join you on a tour in 2025. safe travels!
Please be safe if you're gonna go down coach. It's Southern border. I love the ball there and I don't want to see anything happen to you. God bless you and thank you for having me along
Thank you very much. We always try to be situationally aware and never get ourselves in over our heads. Appreciate your concern and we're always excited to have you along on the journey.
Hi: The bridges of Madison County are fine, and even the birth home of John Wayne is in the area. However: the dirt roads are composed of a white clay that if driven on when wet will result in the undercarriage being covered with this stuff. Trying to remove it- if allowed to dry- will be tantamount to having to use a jack hammer, as it turns into near concrete. We finally found a motorized high pressure (4000 lbs) hot water pressure washer that managed to remove it. Safe travels.
Thank you. We will be careful given the road conditions and weather. Lots of covered bridges in the Midwest but Madison is on our way. Appreciate the heads up.
Big things planned. Learning so much watching your travels. The wife and I are just starting the early prep and plan to do something similar when the last child gets out of high school in 5 yrs. Love to hear your story how you were able to afford all this full time. But thanks on the info on the drone
That is awesome! Always good to plan. 5 yrs will go by quickly. Budgeting and sticking to it were keys for us to be able to do this. A lottery win would have been easier! 😆 🤣
Thank you. We enjoy traveling and looking forward to the new year. We’ll be in Palm Springs for a couple of weeks and will definitely have time to get together.
Love to see and hear what 2024 holds in store for you. Wishing you the best in 2024. ps in New Mexico off I-40 we do have a few whataburger locations.. LoL 😂. Safe travels
My wife and I stumbled across your channel earlier this year and were enthralled with your Alaskan adventures. We live in the South Pacific and are unable to visit USA - so yours is the lens through which we tour the North American continent. Your 2024 draft plans have whetted our excitement for more. We wish you a safe and successful New Year. Just know that the many hours you spend editing each episode is appreciated by folks who don’t have the opportunity to visit your amazing country.
Thank you very much. We have talked about visiting that part of the world sometime. Growing up in Hawaii has increased my desire to see the South Pacific. Excited to have you along on the journey. It will be fun.
We’ll be in St. Mary at Glacier NP area mid July. Maybe we’ll see y’all! We’ll be returning from our Alaska/ Canada trip heading south through Idaho on the way home to Florida. I lived in Hawaii in the early 70s and would love to talk to David about our memories there!
Awesome, I was just catching up on your videos and find out you are going the April Huddle with SIU. My wife and I will be there as well and I look forward to meeting and chatting with you guys. This will be our 5th Huddle and we will either be hosting a section or Ambassadors for Newbies so you may be in our group? So look out for Brad and Christina from Michigan !! Go Lions lol
Kinda of Funny ... We were in Alaska all summer following your progress up there. We saw your rig in Seward, you also saw our 5th wheel next to the river on the way up to the "Exit Glacier". It was the one you commented on (vlog 83 at 6:00 minute mark), you said something like how did they get that in here. :) That was us. We are now planning on being in Quartzite, may be will see ya there.
So excited that you will be out in my area. We are planning on being in Quartzsite for the Big Tent event. We live in La Quinta CA so not too far from where you will be when you are in the Palm Springs area. I hope you go into the Old Town La Quinta for the Farmers Market on Sundays. Hope to see you when you are out this way
Greetings from the Brandywine Valley, Pennsylvania. We are between Lancaster County Amish country and Philadelphia. Home to Valley Forge, Longwood Gardens and so much more. There is so much history here. 2026 is the year to come to Pennsylvania for the 250th birthday of our great country. ❤🤍💙 Enjoy Gettysburg, very moving walking the battlefield. Happy New Year 🎉
You probably already know but when you do Teddy Rosevelt Park you need to do the Medora Musical and the pitchfork steak fondue. Also, Nov 1&2 is the blue angels home coming Airshow.
If you haven't ever stopped at the World's Largest Truck Stop in Walcott, Iowa it is a neat place to stop. There is a truck museum in one building but we usually go to the main building to use the restrooms and eat a meal. It is a nice place to take our longer break when traveling from Michigan to Nebraska each year. If you are ever planning a trip in the northeast, traveling to the top of Mount Washington is neat. The truck won't make it to the top of the mountain, but you can take the car up to the top of the mountain. There are opportunities to spend an entire week at the top of the mountain as a volunteer couple. The volunteers cook meals for the weather observers and help with other tasks. There is opportunity to do short hikes and explore above the tree lines.
We've been to I-80 Truck stop, cool place. Definitely want to get up to Mt Washington. The volunteer activity sounds neat. I've wanted to hike the AT and I've read about the huts. Thanks
Have you thought of Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario Canada to be part of your future plans? Its beautiful up there. Enjoying all your trips vicariously as we sadly can't travel anymore due to health and mobility issues.
Sounds like a great year! You will love the Huddle in SC. Jim and Darline are great and you will love the Switch Crew and of course, Todd and Sheila!!! We will miss that event but when you are in the Fredericksburg, VA to DC area, let us know if you would like to do dinner or get a Pentagon tour. Stay safe.
We're looking forward to it along with meeting new friends, seeing old one's and visiting Savannah. DC is on our list in a few years as well! Thank you.
Hey Brendan, always a fluid plan but you always have to have a plan! Hope your family is doing well over the holidays. We'll see what's in store for 2025. Thanks for watching! Hope it's not too hot for you.
Well if you make Twin Falls ,we have a farm and would gladly put you up . I use to be a Boondocker Welcome spot but not now, it got way to busy. But I be glad to put up ,we semi that pull here when harvesting. And the spot has full hookup.
That would be phenomenal. Please send me an email if you're available in June and we'd love to take you up on it. Lots to see in Twin Falls area. Thank you.
You will absolutely love Congaree National Park (Swamp). Swamps + humidity + heat = bugs and ticks. Please take bug spray ! It can still be in the 80's or higher in SC in October. I can't wait for your 2024 tour.
It seems to be a very pleasant 2024 year to come I wish both of you health and long live ,you're a very charming couple. Keep us informed of your pleasure to travel
Very good video, I feel like I was included in the meeting. On your way to Conroe TX. maybe a stop in Lake Texoma (Gordonville), we will be there and would love to meet you!
If you like Total Eclipse 12 August 2026 in Northern Spain and another in Gibraltar 2 August 2027. In Europe Curiosity is class as a big Motorhome. The average Motorhome is about 20 to 23 feet long.
so … May/June ish when you come scooting across I-80, you need to stop in near York NE… we can def get you an overnight at Prairie Oasis RV… mile marker 342
sounds similar to our "short term" plans. We'll be in Quartzsite mid to end of January then visit our friends in yuma (while we also visit and eat in Algodones) then onto Death Valley!!!! my husband Joe has always wanted to visit Death Valley but I managed to steer away but this year I had to relent. We are planning a big Alaska trip for the next near (2025) so I hope to sit with you and maybe pick your brain a bit. Keep up the good videos they're very informative and enjoyable.
Sounds great and it would be neat to chat about Alaska. Death Valley was not on our list of National Parks we wanted to visit but we were in the area a few years ago and said "what the heck". Wow! DVNP is one of my favorites now and right up there with Yosemite, Yellowstone, Bryce and Arches. It is such a cool and diverse place to visit that we now love going every time we're in the area.
November 2-3 NAS Pensacola, Florida Homecoming Air Show Last show for the yearfor Blue Angels! They leave for California for the winter and will not be practicing in Florida after that. So you might want to change plans for this!

Sounds like 2024 will take you on quite the journey. Looking forward to tagging along. Glad to see some Canadian destinations on your rolling bucket list.
Oh yeah. Can't forget north of the border. We really want to get up to NF & NS. Thank you.
Blue Angels finally show is usually around Veterans Day generally. Pahrump is a really cool place too; try to get there.
Sounds good. Thanks. We'll try to time the Angel's performance. 😊
UP of Michigan will be a neat tour. We're excited about 2024... and exercising Voyager just a little bit more. Thank you
That museum is awesome
Oh yeah. We're excited to FINALLY get to see it!
Hi:
The bridges of Madison County are fine, and even the birth home of John Wayne is in the area.
I look forward to next years videos. Maybe one day I will meet you on the road soon
That would be very cool, Debra. We travel a lot but maybe we'll see you out there. Let's have a great 2024.
Love to hear when your in Quartzsite as I winter there and follow all your trips
That's great. We'll be there Jan 14-27.
Happy New Year How exciting 2024 will be for you. Enjoy
Happy new year! We're looking forward to '24.
Wow, that’s one heck of a schedule 😊 Please pencil us in when you’re in Palm Springs.
Happy New Year to you 😊
Thank you. We enjoy traveling and looking forward to the new year. We’ll be in Palm Springs for a couple of weeks and will definitely have time to get together.
Great video! Excited to hear you will be at the Switch Huddle. They are fun and look forward to seeing you both.
Thank you. We're excited to go and meet everyone. 😊
Love to see and hear what 2024 holds in store for you. Wishing you the best in 2024. ps in New Mexico off I-40 we do have a few whataburger locations.. LoL 😂. Safe travels
Happy new year! Thank you. I've visited a few in Albuquerque during the Balloon Fiesta! Neat area.
My hubby is a little disappointed this year. Santa did not bring a boat 😢 LoL. All Kidding aside, we do wish you both a Happy Healthy New Year.
The blue angles will be in Jacksonville FL the end of October if you are trying to catch them.
Thank you. We'll see how it works out. Always like to see them.
Happy trails and safe travels!
Thanks, will do! Happy new year 🎉
You might want to check out Pella while you are in Iowa. It has a working Dutch windmill.
OK...that would be cool. I'll have to see where it is on our route. Thanks
Maybe someday after I retire, but 4 now I just watch your channel. Great channel to watch. Thank you
Thank you... 😆 I guess we're the next best thing to being there! Glad you enjoyed it and excited to have you along on the journey. 😊
Sounds like fun. Our paths may cross. That would be nice. Aloha
That's great, Brad. I'd also like to chat about the UP of MI as that is on our radar for upcoming travels. Looking forward to it. Thanks for watching.
I will also be at TT Orlando over Thanksgiving. Hope to see you there. I live in York PA near the Shoe House you had visited, Mike
Nice. Great park. We may be a little north of there... slight change in plans. That's a great house. 😊
Very cool! Wow! What a small world. That was amazing how you got your rig over there! See you in the Q!
You might want to check the schedule for the Blue's as they do there training at NAF El Centro in California!
Thanks. I'll check it but Palm Springs is the closest we'll be this year to the west coast.
So excited that you will be out in my area. We are planning on being in Quartzsite for the Big Tent event. We live in La Quinta CA so not too far from where you will be when you are in the Palm Springs area. I hope you go into the Old Town La Quinta for the Farmers Market on Sundays. Hope to see you when you are out this way
Love the Farmers Markets in the area. We'll check it out. Hope to see you. Thank you
If you haven’t been to Amish country in PA and Indiana try to visit.
We've been to the Amish country in Indiana but not yet to PA. That is on the list. Thanks 😄
If you ever get to the RV hall of fame would love to meet you. And you can boondook there.
Thank you. We've been before but always enjoy visiting. Not sure about this year...hmmm... we'll see.
Enjoy Gettysburg, very moving walking the battlefield.
Happy New Year 🎉
Thank you. We're looking forward to it.
You probably already know but when you do Teddy Rosevelt Park you need to do the Medora Musical and the pitchfork steak fondue. Also, Nov 1&2 is the blue angels home coming Airshow.
Thank you . We've heard about the musical and fondue dinner. We'll definitely make time.
Thanks
I can’t wait for future videos! Happy New Year! 🎊
Happy new year!! They'll be coming... we're always on the road.
LOVE the intro. Look forward to 2024. I’m sure our paths will cross again.
Thanks. It's a small RV world out there. See ya' down the road! Thank you very much.
It will be fun to follow along this year. I have trips planned in my RV, but I have still have to work.
😆 always work to do when you have an RV! 😆 Let's have a great 2024!
It’s good to see you guys are going to be at the huddle in South Carolina for switch it up we get to meet you there!
Sounds great. Looking forward to it.
Have you thought of Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario Canada to be part of your future plans? Its beautiful up there. Enjoying all your trips vicariously as we sadly can't travel anymore due to health and mobility issues.
We will take a look at that. Sounds interesting. Thank you
Sounds like a great year!
Thank you.
So it appears the 2025 will be pencilled in for a trip down south. Lol very much look forward to watching every episode.
Thanks for the tips! We're excited to tour around the Congaree NP area. Excited for 2024 and glad you're along on the journey.
It seems to be a very pleasant 2024 year to come I wish both of you health and long live ,you're a very charming couple. Keep us informed of your pleasure to travel
Merci, Jean-Paul. We're looking forward to it and hope you enjoy the journey with us.
Blue Angels Air Show is November
1 & 2 2024
Pensacola. Fl
Ok. Thank you very much. I'll check our schedule and see what we can do about seeing it.
Very good video, I feel like I was included in the meeting. On your way to Conroe TX. maybe a stop in Lake Texoma (Gordonville), we will be there and would love to meet you!
We've been to Lake Texoma and the Whataburger there in Gordonville but we'll have to see what our route and timing will be. Thank you
Looks like you guys will be passing by Youngstown, OH. You should stop by and check out Mill Creek park.
That looks really neat. We may not have the time to stop and "smell the roses" but will keep it in mind for next time. Thanks.
Oh my gosh! What exciting news! It all sounds so much fun!! Can’t wait for Idaho!! Never seen that state. 2024 is going to be a fun fun year!!.🎉🎉🎉
2024 will be fun with some unique locations for us. We're looking forward to sharing the journey with everyone. Thank you
Great planning, I look forward to those videos! Happy New Years! 🎉
Happy new year!! Thanks. We're excited about the plan.
If you like Total Eclipse 12 August 2026 in Northern Spain and another in Gibraltar 2 August 2027. In Europe Curiosity is class as a big Motorhome. The average Motorhome is about 20 to 23 feet long.
We want to get over to Europe but our motorhome is definitely on the large size for Europe. Thanks
Thanks for sharing 😊😊😊
Thanks for watching. Appreciate your comments.
so … May/June ish when you come scooting across I-80, you need to stop in near York NE… we can def get you an overnight at Prairie Oasis RV… mile marker 342
Sounds great! I'll have to check our mileage around that area. Thank you.
sounds similar to our "short term" plans.
Thanks for the preview, I'll be watching as the new adventure unfolds!
You're welcome. We're excited for it too.
Thanks for sharing your life and video and happy New Year
Happy new year! You're welcome. 😄
November 2-3 NAS Pensacola, Florida Homecoming Air Show Last show for the yearfor Blue Angels! They leave for California for the winter and will not be practicing in Florida after that. So you might want to change plans for this!
Definitely. We'll be in the area... will have to make it happen! Thanks 😄
Exciting
😎😊

Happy holidays! Enjoying the Huntsville area but can't wait to start 2024 in a few days.
