I really appreciate this. I'm going to start streaming. Just picked up the Rodecaster pro 2 and your videos are really helpful.
Glad to hear they're helpful and wishing you the best with your stream!
Excellent :)
Thank you!
Hi Kri! Thanks for this video. I'm planning to upgrade to the Rodecaster Pro 2 from the Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen for solo creating (Definitely overkill, but hopefully I never have to upgrade ever again after this :D) I like it's ability to record internally and run off of a powerbank, making it portable to record anywhere (even in the wild!) I'm going to mainly use it with a SM7dB (well, now as a SM7B) but I also have a Rode NT1 4th Gen and a MKE600 for if I ever have to record multiple sources.
You're going to have a ton of fun with that setup!
Hi Kri!
I'm moving from Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen to the newest 4rd Gen.
I use to record my poetry using AKG 220, SE V7 and Shure SM48 mics.
Nice vídeo!
Appreciate it and great setup!
Hello Kri!
You talked about your experience and work in a studio. And this is very valuable. You are doing great!
About Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro and sound sync.
You can do this - to connect the RODE line output to the ATEM microphone input with a cable (Y-cable).
But first, need to switch the microphone input to line mode in the program ATEM Software Control.
Yes, ATEM has a digital compensator for mic audio synchronization. But I think this method is not the most productive.
This will require greater concern for sound quality with unpredictable results.
The ISO version can be recorded to external media.
If your computer writes a compilation of streams from ATEM and an audio interface via a video driver (USB connection) the recording may contain artifacts such as frame loss, sound glitches, etc. Let ATEM handle the compilation and recording.
It is also possible to configure ATEM stream to a local recorder over the local network. No OBS or similar.
But, this method is for the Jedi ;)
We watch your videos in Ukraine.
Appreciate it! All great points about the ATEM. Will have to give the Jedi version a try one of these days.
Incredible video! an authentic master class! I'm a beginner and I'm going to start a videocast, in your opinion, what is the most intuitive software to control the switch of different camera angles during streaming? And for editing?
I use exactly the same equipment (RCP2 and atem mini) thank you so much for your help!
greetings from Portugal 🇵🇹
Glad you find the info helpful! I haven't found reliable software to do live switching although I've heard you can do so via ecamm. I use my atem mini pro iso to live switch because it's so reliable. Hope you find what you're looking for!
I need a camera and that atem mini. I am using the logictech brio webcam.
It is a great piece of gear!
Great info: If I send rodecaster pro 2 audio to Atem mini pro and connect USBc to computer. Which setup is best?
Really depends on what works best for your workflow.
The ONLY thing that would make me upgrade from RCP2 at this point is 3 4k 60fps HDMI capture cards 😅 multichannel, though, so Ecamm or OBS can see all three video signals simultaneously
That would be nice!
How did you find the latency when listening to your voice through headphone monitoring? A few ppl have said it’s bad and distracting. Can you let me know your thoughts?
Haven't had an issue with this at all
@@kriedholm seems a Rode QA issue, as it seems a lot of ppl have found it, almost sounds like a chorus effect. I think I’m gunna test it first if I can.
See, I stream on my iPhone not my computer. Could you do a video on setting this up to be iPhone compatible?
I just might do this!
Good video
Thank you!
@@kriedholm the transmitter of the wireless GoPro ii in one input will transmit to microphones into one input channel on the rodecaster correct? Does that mean I could run eight microphones through the rodecaster?
@@AtlLateNight You could!
