Street Photography with the Leica Q2 in Brussels. I am getting more and more comfortable doing street photography lately. Two things helped me boosting my confidence but more of this in the video :)

I like to watch your videos because they let me see through your eyes. What you ultimately use to put your view of things on paper, for example less because all these devices are just a means to an end and the best of them won't help if you can't see anything.

Another excellent video mate. Love the look down shot of the cyclist. Fantastic shadow there. The shots around the escalator came out really well too. Love those images of just one small part of the face or body. Keep these coming 👏🏻

Complimenti Octavian, inquadrature e luci di alcune foto sono veramente eccezionali. Mi piace molto il bianco e nero dall’’alto del palazzo. Bello anche vedere come ti muovi per fotografare la sposa, come se volessi “rubare” le immagini . Questa è la sensazione che ho avuto vedendo la scena. Il tuo modo di fotografare mi piace moltissimo, complimenti ancora.

As in the past, I enjoyed this video. I especially liked “working the scene” and following your camera handling. I liked image at 4:11 and wedding party with final shot. Looking forward to your next video.

Great work! Your own style for street photography is starting to take form. A very good style. With each session you're adding a few more strong candidates to your main portfolio, like the shot from 10:49. At 5:15 you were a little devil yourself :) I'm tempted to believe that your perspective on the bride shot is a much more interesting approach. And you ended beautifully with the shot at 11:54. Great episode again. I had a lot of fun watching it. Congratulations!

Comme d’habitude, du grand art ! C’est impressionnant depuis que je suis tes vidéos ton style street ombre / lumière évolue vers de des contrastes de plus en plus importants ! Une vraie leçon photographique à chaque fois.. En prime je revisite Bruxelles enfin sur certains clichés il me semble. Top !

@@OctavianCarare Creep yes, if we were paparazzi's but for us, I think, the pictures are made with respect to the person(s) and just for artistic aim, isn't it :-))

Every week great entertainment with the Q2 Octavian 👏🏼🙏🏼👍🏼. In this episode my favorite image was the reflection in the window at 03:14 minute. But there are a lot more outstanding images.

hello octavian. I have the same idea as you. meeting photographers and seeing them photographing can give us alternatives to what we already do, in addition to always being very good to know the person behind the photographer. I also agree with you when you say that our own experience, when accompanied by a certain amount of boldness (my words now) helps us to evolve because it gives us confidence (overconfidence is as damaging as lack of it, I think). gaining the right dose of confidence is essential for a certain style of street photography (not all of us have to be bruce gildon :) a photographer will always be a freak, eh eh eh
I like the photograph of the smiling face and the photo of the bride very much (I like the frame you chose. very street. while composing the scene, I was curious if you would include the bride's shoes or not;)
I always write a lot. excuse.

ps. I think that evolution always begins in an internal process and is not always visible to others. little by little (or perhaps very quickly) it begins to be visible. I say this because your photographic style already has your signature and I recognize it from the first street photography video you made.
Hahha I love that : not all of us have to be bruce gildon, that's true :)). I had taken several shots of the bride, one just with the shoes but I didn't like it that much afterwall. We seem to think a like... great minds ... :)

Thanks a lot ! I love my Q2 to be honest, love the autofocus, love the colours, the image quality. If I would to keep one camera it would be the Q2 :)
Try maybe to rent one for couple of hours or a day and see how it works for you :)
Hey Octavian, Greatness as usual :) Womderful play with lights and shadows as well... just a little question, do you crop a lot ? Because if you don't, all these pictures would have been possible with a Q1 as well right ? I have a Q1, thats is why I am asking xD Thank you !
Hi Martin thanks a lot ! I don't crop a lot but I do some cropping. It's mostly the edges or if there is an element that distract the view. Are you thinking of some shots in particular ? I can show you the original frame if you want. But I am not a heavy cropper (I like to get close) :)
