The show feels like a real love letter to the whole Japanese superhero scene. Not just anime and manga stuff, but also tokusatsu stuff.
I agree, I felt it has a huge inspiration and influences by Japaneses media and manga around 1965 to 1985.
The show literally feels like anime.
Oh yes, I remember this show. I feel like it's one of those shows that always gets forgotten and it never gets the credit it deserves because it had some good moments.

This was always one of my favorite shows as a kid. The depth of the main characters, the gravity bearing down on them from the villain, the way it harkened to He-Man and Power Rangers. I thought the show ended with Skeleton King fusing with a cosmic rainbow worm, maybe that was the cliff hanger mentioned, but I was always disappointed in the lack of a finally.

This show was so good. So, so good. The way it was unceremoniously dropped is criminal and I wish there was a way we could legitimately tell Disney that we want to see this thing brought to a close. Seriously, they have BILLIONS of dollars, they can spare some funding for a cult classic that only needs one season (or a movie, according to Nieli) to officially wrap up and then it can go back into storage where they apparently feel it belongs.
So many fanfic writers (myself included) have reached the point where we want to try and write out what a final season would be like, particularly fleshing out the likes of Jinmay. The poor girl was the first non-main character introduced, FIRMLY established as Chiro's main love interest...and then she was dropped like a sack of potatoes. I can only imagine what Nieli had in store for her, so we're forced to do it ourselves.
I hope with all my heart and soul that the Hyperforce return to finish their tale, preferably before the deaths of their voice cast. Sad as it is, lot of the folks there are older now, and they ain't gonna live forever. It's gotta get done!

I was SO excited when they didn't just make Jinmay a one and done whose sole purpose was to trick Chiro. Even happier when she was made the teams replacement when they went off to space. Of course none of that matters because the show decided to firmly establish she's worthless and can either only be Chiro's cheerleader or randomly turned into a biker gang bad girl super easily.
I miss Jetix, Power Ranger Wild Force, Dino Thunder, S.P.D., etc., Sonic X, Yin Yang Yo, Pucca, Spider-Man, X-Men, Gargoyles, and all the other great shows on the block. Watching your vids have awakened old, forgotten memories within me, and Its so nice to rediscover that feeling, so thank you. Keep doing what you do.

@@Slay963 The style has in parts, but there's still good shows. It's just that we don't get a chance to see the better ones with the overabundance of them on all these different streaming platforms, and even some still on cable.

@@daseal1479true that. Man thing used to be simpler back then. Just either watch through cable or open ya laptop and go online to see. Now too much streaming platforms, can decide where to watch. Disney+ is great for bringing all our childhood shows together in one place, but they should've reconsidered on resurrecting Disney channel, Disney XD and all. Prime video, too much adult content these days and Netflix, show come, shows go.

It's really disappointing that this show never had a final and just ended with a big cliffhanger against the final battle with Skeleton King. But, if Samurai Jack can get the same treatment of coming back, so can this show.
To be fair Samurai jack is kinda unique. Genndy the creator, basically made most of the shows we watched...and he knew full well he influenced MILLIONS of kids now adults who always dreamed of Samurai jack getting the conclusion it deserved. Damn now that I think about it...why is he not cartoon network president. I really cant see anyone else being better suited.

I'm afraid not. In Samurai Jacks case, Genndy Tartakovsky(I hope I spelled that right) had wanted to finish it when he and CN had a falling out... But when CN, under new management, approached him about the possibility of reconciliation, he accepted on the condition he get to finish Jack... Among other things, such as the rights to some of his creations... Still waiting on the Proposed Sequel to ANOTHER CN 90s classic, honestly, but it's been 8 years, so it looks like the Billy&Mandy Sequel won't be happening... Which is sad, because that series left us all with so many questions...
As for SRMTHFG, the creator reportedly has no desire to revive or complete it, having apparently finished it in a limited run Comic... That nobody apparently knew existed. I first learned that a comic version existed a few months ago, but it's out of print, and naturally very hard to find, and only the final volume is considered Canon... But yeah... It's like the show Dave The barbarian... The fans want it back, but the creators? Not so much...

This was definitely one of my favorite cartoon shows back in the Jetix days along with Oban StarRacers. The space worm arc was so crazy to watch. Show really left an impact on me at the time. Totally forgot about alot of characters so this is such a nice blast from the past for me right now! Man....The style in this show.... Good times, seriously.
I love this Cartoon growing up,it feels like a Combination of Power Rangers,Anime,and Star Wars and I only watch the Power Rangers before the Other 2,it's a Shame that it didn't have a Final Conclusion because it was getting Dark and Good,maybe one Day Someday Disney would Revive This Amazing Series,also something I Notice that it's no a Coincidence that my Favorite TMNT Version 2012 is Similar to Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go!
There was a point when Disney had the best cartoons. Can't say I enjoy how few cartoons we have nowadays (and how low quality the majority are). Animation is a far better story telling medium than live action. I miss the days of Gargoyles, EMH, DCAU, and more.
I watched this sporadically because it didn't line up very well with my school schedule. I was always intrigued by it's history but never got to follow it well :(
Well all SRMTHFG, TMNT2012, TT,(not TTG) even transformers animated were all directed by ciro so they would have some similarities

For real, Jetix was such a eye opener for me. I grew up poor so I only had just the regular, cartoon network and nickelodean standard shows. So when my family got better, when I first saw this channel and all these new cartoon shows that looked like this, as well as the other shows. I was kinda blown away with how awesome they were as a kid.
Could you do.. a remember "Generator Rex"? It was one of the most underrated cartoons of CN.. I would love you forever if you made a video on that show. :)

I LOVED THIS SHOW SO MUCH! Where I was, you had to stay up way late to actually watch Jetix? It was like this secret channel with all of the cool boy cartoons for me, lol! There was some serious gender euphoria in managing to stay up late enough to watch it, and getting to watch what was considered by my family as "the boy cartoons." This was one of the ones that seriously grabbed me! I never got to see the 4th season though, and I'm so fucking bummed that it never got an actual ending. Time to binge regardless!

I remember this show. Looking at it now, it reminds me of Astro boy, and old super robo anime. Definitely had that aesthetic and inspiration.
Loads and loads of homages to Ishinimori, Tezuka, Nagai, and probably a lot more that I'm missing

I like Atomic Betty (began watching it on the Wildbrain channel, btw). I think it was a very creative show during its time. Though, I heard that it was one of the first Canadian flash-animated cartoons to air on Cartoon Network. So... it did predict a weird time for the network (like having shows such as Johnny Test and George in the Jungle being mostly spammed on the network, alongside Chowder, Ben 10: Alien Force and Flapjack. Though, Total Drama (the first three seasons) and 6teen were great underrated gems.)

I remember watching the 2012 TMNT and when they were in space, there was an episode which was a direct copy of an episode of srmthfg. It was really amazing to see that the series never died but lived through its creators and their love for it. I really love this series, it was a big part of my childhood (and my childhood fears, some adversaries were frightening for young me). Since we live in an age where reboots and revives happen quite frequently, I sincerely hope that one day, this incredible show will get the ending it deserves.

They even had the same villains. The Vreen appeared at some point in season 4 of TMNT as robot insects. The Vreen appeared in SRMTHFG for the first time in the "Invasion of the Vreen" episode.
The same guy who created this show also developed the 2012 tmnt,thats why
Oh my god! I love this show! Man I miss Jetex. The episode that is seared into my brain is when the monkeys are in the water and a map shows their positions and vitals and then one by one their pings disappeared and vitals did as well. Scared the hell out of me but I love this show.
I adored this show as a kid. My fav episode was the promethius 5 and Antauri coming back.
Even as a kid that would never recognized the references, I was always in love with the art style. Is such a perfect blend of western and eastern animation, the character designs are just amazing. The only exception, maybe, is the mech.
I was re-watching this months back. It truly sucks there was no ending for this show. RIP "Jetix", "Toon Disney", and "ABC Family". The Skeleton King is an underrated Mark Hamell villain.

I`d kill to have this finished. This is that one show for me, the one thing nothing beats in my mind, not even Avatar, not even some other classics. THIS IS THE ONE.
The overall style reminds me a lot of that of Shotaro Ishinomori (creator of CYBORG 009 and KAMEN RIDER, as well as the source material for Power Rangers, Super Sentai). The creators of this series are fans of his work!
Huh, you don't say. I did notice that this show shared a lot of similarities with Cyborg 009, but seeing you mention this confirms my suspicions that maybe the creators of this series could have potentially drawn some inspiration from the latter. 😅

This was my favorite show growing up! The characters are amazing, the plots are great and the voice acting is superb! I would love to see a finale to this amazing series in some form. Hopefully we will get that at some point. Here's hoping! Great video!
I think this show and Teen Titians were the first two shows to expose me to anime like content, along with Avatar in Nickelodeon. I adore the Hyper force go show. Robots were a big thing back then in the old cartoons I see.
Happy to know the creator still has pride and passion to want to continue the series. That's how much fun they had with the show and talent going for it.
This is one of the ultimate don’t judge a book by its cover shows, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go is about the goofiest name for a series I can think of it suggest that this shows would be stupid humor and little else.
But my god does it work, its funny but also action packed, the characters are great and likable and work off each other near perfectly, they are a hero team with all roles that come with that, the leader, the lancer, the smart guy, the girl, the big guy. (I’ll leave it up to you to guess which characters fits which role as even I’m not 100 percent sure who fits what archetype)
The villain of the show (skeleton king) is one of the most intimidating villains I’ve seen, and his backstory of being a human alchemist and the CREATER of the the team, who turned evil is one my favorite moments from the show as well as one of its best.
Its such a shame that the show ended on a cliffhanger, they built it up VERY well, with Sparx betraying the rest of the team, reforming and coming back them, and many of the minor characters being called p the fight the revived skeleton king and his forces.
Disney, please give this show an ending, it really deserves one. It may not be the very best show you made but its good enoguh to be given a proper ending after all this years.
This show always fascinated me, specially due to how stylish it was
Besides that the Skeleton King was the best part of the show, he could go from generic bad guy to tragic figure to pawn to higher powers to the higher power itself and over again AND there was that scene during the finale of season 1 where Shiro finds this room filled with toys and a child outfit, says they used to belong to him "a long time ago" and they move on
This scene is never mentioned again, they never explain it and it almost feels like a dream sequence, specially since Shiro himself is a really mysterious character whose entire backstory is given during the intro. Makes me wonder if the scene was meant to hint at a relationship between him and SK or if they just dropped the plot point once they explained what his deal was

I am so sick of good shows ending on cliffhangers. If the network knows it's going to pull the plug, they should at least give the writers a heads up.
yeah....i mean, the episode end with everyone go full on Star Wars. you have to end it with an actual war with everybody is together.
These days that habit has lessened but it still exists somewhat enough that your complaint is still valid. Still more and more companies are starting to learn they can't pull that bullcrap and get away with it anymore mostly thanks to the internet. Of course that means old shows still go without a proper conclusion untill someone who cares about it get's the authority needed to give it one. But hey I did'nt think Bleach would ever get it's proper finale but now were in it's release year so anything's possible.
Owl House fans are kind of ungrateful, like really, they should be glad the show is getting a proper ending unlike this one.

I don't know if it's just me but I see some inspiration from the works of Tezuka in the show's design especially in the human characters, some of them really make me think of stuff like Astro Boy!

This show had so much story into it that It actually felt like an anime.
Loved this show! Even the robot had a backstory. There was an episode on that, where they found themselves on the robot’s origin planet.
This was one of my favorites back in the day. I remember watching this during the weekends after coming home from school and recording episodes on VHS tapes. I was even more surprised when I found this on Disney +, cause since it’s rarely mentioned nowadays, I figured they either forgot it, or had no reason to put it up.
The chances are low, but I would love for them to do at least a one-hour special, or at least a short season, on covering over the final encounter with Skeleton King. Especially with the hype that they had built up back then.
the one thing about this show that freaked me out as a kid watching it was the really obsessed janitor fan episode. Mainly for the ending of that and how he somehow was able to take control of Chiro's whole team while in a custom Chiro suit he made.

This show had so many cool stuff in it, I loved it when I was younger. It felt like cartoon horror at times.

The one thing that I remember mainly from the show was the on-going and complicated relationship between Sparx and Nova - very much "Oh yeah, it was the colorful Power Rangers type show with monkeys, but wait, didn't the red and yellow monkey have a relationship with each other?" Whenever I think about it

This was one of the shows I was most excited to watch on Saturdays. When the "finale" happened and then never continued I thought it was a Dragonball instance again, just rerunning episodes until they finish the next season. But those next episodes never came. Still hurts, come on Disney give this some love and finish a really good series
this, dragon booster, and digimon tamers were my shit. i would watch a new series finale or a graphic novel, but if we never get it... i've made me peace with it.
I grew up with this show, and have fond memories of watching it in the "downstairs" room in the house I grew up in. A converted garage that was 3 steps below the rest of the house.
I want to believe that, with all the reboots and continuations coming out recently, we may one day see this show get the ending it deserves.
But the truth is that we just won't know what's in store for the show for some time.
Here's hoping we get a swift greenlight of a final season or movie...

Love the show! Absolutely adore The Skeleton King played by Mark Hamil! When he came on stage, the room became silent! Thats some deadly presence right there! Still think its funny BB voice actor is getting shipped with the same V-actress in this show, Teen Titans, TMNT 2012 and even Ben 10! Hilarious!
Man, my love for this show went dormant like a sleeper agent for 18 years and it came back to life and beat me in the face like a brick. Loved this show when I was 9, and honesty, I still love it now; even if it’s a lil goofy. It’s having fun while it does it, and I love it for that ❤
God I loved Jetix. Treasured it in the days when it was the only place where I could watch Digimon. I vaguely remember this show, but only enough that my girlfriend and I regularly have random competitions on who can remember the full title perfectly.
There's this relatively obscure show called 'Sushi Pack' the only nostalgic interaction I have is from one of those web games. Other than that a video of it would be neat

my favorite Jetix show PERIOD! probably my first introduction to Greg Cipes as a voice actor minus Beast boy! Plus I love Nova's voice actress as well! she plays Charmcaster in Ben 10, which is irony as Greg would later on to voice Kevin Levin

Edit: I think it’s super cool that one of the later episodes of the 2012 TMNT (I forgot which season) was like a whole big full episode reference to the SRMTHFG! episode Meet The Wigglenog. And there’s kinds a few other references to SRMTHFG! in the 2012 TMNT in random episodes too, which is also pretty neat :3

Yes!! I watched this show on Toon Disney all the time when I was a kid in the early-mid 00s. It was a neat combination of Power Rangers, anime and Godzilla. The monkeys all have awesome weapons and unique personalities that bounce off one another effortlessly, Chiro is a likable lead who gradually form a strong bond with the team and grows into a strong leader, the villain Skeleton King is one of the coolest looking villains in any cartoon ever and the anime-inspired animation style really stands out much like the original Teen Titans show. It's a fun show. Also fun fact one of the writers on this show was Henry Gilroy who also wrote the Bionicle movies and has gone on to work on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels with Dave Filoni.

This universe and these characters had SO MUCH potential! It's beyond tragic this show ended the way it did. I pray that someday Disney will let Ciro realize his vision. Maybe even make a franchise out of it with spin offs that expand on the lore! ENDLESS POSSABILITIES!
This was my favorite show back in my elementary days. I watch that show every Friday and Saturday night! I really miss those days!
Not only do I still remember the show fondly, I also happen to remember the only two glaring flaws about it. I say again...I DO fondly remember watching this series, in my teen years and still see it as one of my favorite action shows/American style animes. But despite however much I like it, two things about the show kind of rubbed me the wrong way.
1. The Hyperforce, on occasion was often coldly dismissive about Chiro's human interests; particularly where Antauri is concerned. He openly called Chiro's interest in video games "trivialities," which is an egghead's way of saying that something is stupid.
2. While some aspects of the first flaw is rarely present here, they're still quite noticeable; those being the Money Team always expecting themselves to ALWAYS keep fighting...including Chiro. To elaborate; after the Skeleton King's alleged defeat, Chiro hoped for the idea of him and the team finding another life path.
But Antauri (ever the buzzkill he is) says that their team MUST stand vigilant against ALL threats. In short; this is essentially telling Chiro he can never go further with his relationship with Jinmay, start a family and find another career.
Antauri's way of thinking is exactly why I came to hate superheroes...because they never find time for themselves, they're forever doomed to their suits
So basically, you hate superheroes for the same reason villains do, you might not realize that, what makes heroes and superheroes so respectable is that they willfully sacrifice their desires, safety, comfort, and luxury to the full time defense and protection of the innocent regardless of whether or not they know they have some kind of defender.
Antauri was definitely the most duty bound of the gang. Though I don't think it was a bad thing, I think it should have been developed and focused on more. At the end of the day he did acknowledge Churo as leader and overtime was willing to support Chiro's need to be a kid. He was like Batman in his need to see the mission as more important, but I think he was more flexible (especially after his rebirth) and had the show focused on it more we could have reached a balance.
I agree that that's an ongoing issue with heroes. Not necessarily a bad thing, but an issue to discuss (within the world of the series). Depending on what run you're reading it does come up, but with comics it's dropped and picked up as writers and continuities. CW Superman and Lois is regarded as the best CW show for confronting this (super low bar. To be clear it's still bad and I think it makes a huge mistake in departing from confronting that problem, but the first few episodes do it well). Young Justice does a great job of keeping the fact that heroes need to balance their lives in mind (therapy, retirement, and mental breakdowns happen). Personally my favorite runs to read are where the heroes are friends and gave more fun with fighting crime (rebirth Outlaws and rebirth titans (of course that ends when DC says nope)).

@JayLeeBeanz I think you mean Megamind...but you're right; in THAT story, Metroman wonders if he even has a choice to live a real life.
This is something that the Monkey Team doesn't allow for themselves or Chiro, at times. Then again, they ARE part machine and machines are ALWAYS doing what they're programmed to do; never once straying away from it.

This show was a small piece of my childhood. I kept forgetting the title, but I always vaguely remember Monkey and Hyper in it
It's a tragedy when great quality entertainment becomes underrated by a bunch of rotten high-horsed ivory-towered tv/channel executives who probably care more about filling their own pockets.
Shows like Generator Rex, The Secret Saturdays, MotorCity, Tron Uprising, and Symbiotic Titan among other masterpieces of ACTUAL GREAT QUALITY entertainment shows. All works of art that were never given the credit they deserved. 😞😢

I just wanna remind that SRMTHFG Was pretty damn BRUTAL!
Dang, seriously they showed fav robot maskless, revealing his machinery, make a big hole inside of his belly, they showed monkey team skeletons/brains/nerves and their Blueprints (so we could see even better how they are working).
Skeleton King was not some silly Joker, he wanted, he did it. Mandarin fcked up mission? No problem! He probably killed/keep torturing him and meanwhile make his own clone to take his place cuz WHY NOT?!
Mandarin himself at beginning was literally robo monkey without any parts, so it was pretty sick looking at robotless robo monkey.
Robo monkeys were tortured and mentally breaked, we could see literally stomach/kidneys etc (anatomy stuff) and no one really cared! It was looking cool and it was great about this show.
Not like in today cartoon where drop of blood is BIG ISSUE.
What the hell, this sounds so good. I haven't seen it, but I would buy all the merchandise myself if it would get this show brought back.
Ciro Neill did leave some spoilers on Season 5, and I think figured out season could be:
-Original Mandarin is actually still ALIVE. And he has a redemption arc by using the power primate to end his corruption. As well as skeleton king back to alchemist(similar to how cured sparks).
-Chiro's origin story would be revealed. Ciro says the Chrio was bullied and was aged up by the power primate.
Ciro says there is a time skip from 7-8 years
-It opens up Chiro, Gibson, and Aurora 7
The ending would be similar to "Tians forever". Where it would be very good buy vs every bad in a ulmate showed. The rest is beyond me.
Instant “YES” when I saw this title. My partner and I were scrolling on Disney+ the other day, saw SRMTHFG, and instantly turned to look at each other and spoke-sang the theme song really fast and loud. We had literally never talked about it before, but nostalgia is crazy strong.

I didn't have cable at the time, but I remember the show's style (and intro song) making a huge impression on me. So when I found it on disneyplus I binged it immediately. In Japanese.. because why not.
While it tried to make an overarching plot, even with its episodic nature, it really just drops some plot points, or some winding down episodes in the middle of the action. But all in all it feels loved. It feels like the team had a lot of ideas for the show, so they touched everything at least a bit, but not enough.
It was a fun watch, the latinamerican dub of the first seasons bring me nostalgia. A Jetix classic.
It’s rough around the edges. This show needed more time, budget and a really good editor and/or a head writer. Like how Aaron Ehasz made Avatar a masterpiece.
It definitely has a lot of flaws but it also had a ton of potential. I really enjoyed all the references/homages it constantly made upon rewatching.

The voice cast and animation team for this was kinda stacked. Like, DAMN. I had no clue because I only watched it in Spanish.
Also why would they pin it on merchandise issues when they barely released any merchandise for this? Especially when the whole show is ripe for it?? Colorful characters, robots, transformations. They could've easily pushed for it. It's one thing from the animation industry that I just don't get.

Hi Jordan, don't know if you'll see this, but have you ever watched or heard of World of Quest? It was an interesting watch when I was a kid and it'd be awesome if you did a WAIT... Remember on it :)
Maybe I remember it wrong but this show had some pretty dark moments in it. Chracters dieing getting torned to shreds aged into death, decapatated, mutated, mind controlled and so on.
And that's just the visual stuff sometimes the ides they had were the creepy ones like the zombie episode, or ones that focused on the main bad guys nature.
But the other half was super up beat and colorfull. Which was always jaring to me. Like If they cut the show into to 2 different helf.

Bruh I barely remember this show- mostly in name than any story beads/threads- because I had to have been six years old at the time. However, I do remember me and another kid in the Catholic school playground would use to pretend to be the monkeys.
my only concern on this show was HOW DID NO ONE SEE A GIANT ROBOT OUT IN THE OPEN FOR YEARS?!
