    Thank You, Saw all your videos on columns, beams and stairs. Excellent explanation with lucid video. Brief and concise. Its a great help for non engineers to understand construction. A must see for all those who are planning to start constructing their houses. once again ,Thanks and great job.

    Excellent explanation but, should be more details about top bars or Crank bar for continuous beam

    Will the beam be more rigid and resistant to sagging if stirrups are arranged diagonally to form triangles as done with steel trusses?

    • @robertweekley5926
      @robertweekley5926 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, placing Rebar bent in a soft "z" shape, as in 1/3 length Flat, 1/3 Bent 30° to 45°, and last 1/3 Flat (Horizontal), to both form a Truss like connection, and tie to upper and lower rebar together?

    Thank you for the video.
    Do the stirrups need to extend all the way to the lower reinforcements or can they terminate to another reinforcement just above them?

    It's a nice video but I would like to correct you here that...You said when depth is more than 900 mm than we provide side face reinforcement but as per IS CODE : 456-2000, CLAUSE - 26.5.1.3 ,Pg no. - 47...It is clearly mentioned that if depth > 750 mm then we have to provide it and the spacing between them should not be more than 300 mm.

      Hi Bhanu, thanks for your comment. Quoting from the video "These reinforcements are generally provided to deep beams which have depth higher than 900 mm or 36 inches. This value of depth differs from code to code." it is mentioned that the depth value differs from code to code. The value of 900mm is provided in ACI318 and you correctly pointed out that IS code mentions depth as 750mm.

      Beautiful conversation...
      I would like to add something.
      In case of torsion in beams as per
      IS:456:2000, THIS DEPTH IS 450 MM ONLY.

    • @CivilAbhyaas
      @CivilAbhyaas 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      750 mm is for flexure only....
