Why don’t I know this channel of yours? Am so happy I found you. This is a big help to me and to all aspiring engineering students. Thank you!!!

Your work shop session is very nice and informative i want to hint a correction for the simply supported beams rebars are cranke for the following purpose.
The crank bars or bent up bar are very important in R.C.C beam or slabs construction because without countering the Hogging (Negative moment) the structure will fail or the strength of the structure will reduce. The hogging bending moment will develop at the supports of the slabs and beams. Not for shear transfer.
    Thank you

The bottom bars are bent up at the ends to counter hogging (negative moment) in the beam....the shear could be countered even if the bottom bars remained at the bottom.

Longitudinal bars do not carry any shear, as they are used as flexural reinforcements. In shear, you need to consider the cross section of the concrete, if not enough, then provide required stirrups; same with torsion.

As per 1.5 of IS 456, the maximum spacing of the stirrups = 0.75 d = 0.75 (450) = 337.5 mm = 300 mm (say). d is thr effective depth of besm. So, we select 10 mm, 2 legged stirrups @ 150 mm.I c/c..One This fig is not rigid In beam both side of end span L/4 spacing reduced and beyond L/4 the spacing increased depending upon Shear force!Kindly correct if I am wrong??🙏

Very good video... But there can be some corrections..
You are assuming this as simply supported this is wrong according to reinforcement details. There is bent up bars near the supports but in simply supported arrangement rotation is allowed in both the end and because of this there is no negative moment. So no extra bar needed in top fiber near the supports. Bent up bars are needed in fixed beam.
