@@username-thocc switch rattle ? r u serious ?? to know a switch that is good or bad , u have to mod it. for the milky yellow u have to lube, burn in , and change the stock spring . NOW its the best switch for beginner
I thought KTT Kangs were the king of Marble, but holy heck the HMX Ziwei just went further beyond what I thought was possible. Never heard them before and now I might have to make a board with them one day lol. I prefer thock, but MAN does that sound good
I listen to this video again and again wondering if it's worth buying the milky pro yellows. I got the pro version of the rainy75 and i'm worried that the wob switches it includes might be too similar to the milky yellows and I end up wasting money. Has anyone swapped milky pro yellows in the pro board?
Been looking for a creamy switch for the longest time and I've been snubbing the milky yellows for some time now. I think it's time to face the fact that it is indeed the creamiest of them all 😅😅😅
Both keyboards can sound extremely creamy and thocky. Also compare other differences like the price, form factor, portability and wireless support to see if those matter to you.
Hello I would like to recreate your sound on this keyboard with the Gateron Oil King switches, can you tell me if you did any mods to it or is all stock in this video?
Are there some tactile alternatives to these creamy and deep-sounding linear ones? Thanks for a very nice comparison, again. (Milky Yellow Pros / Aula F87Pro happy user here)
@@MechWhisper Looking forward to watching it, I'd like to have the same feeling but with a bump. The most famous are of course Gazzew Boba U4T and U4Tx, but that's a bit too ecpensive. I've tried couple of tactiles from a sampler and bought Outemu Milk Tea-s as they were the deepest-sounding from around 10 from that sampler, but once fitted into the actual keyboard, they are not so good as I assumed. Anyway, it's fun to explore and try other options!
Akko cream yellows (I assume the v3 pro) are clackier, higher pitched and louder. Milky yellows and Gateron oil kings are more muted, deeper sounding switches.
It will sound different, as they have different case materials (plastic vs aluminium) and internals. If it helps you can check out this video: th-cam.com/video/xXHlmy3WaCY/w-d-xo.html, which uses milky yellows on Aula F87.
Sadly I’ve parted ways with this keyboard and moving on to explore others. Nevertheless, I’ll take note to try out some tactile switches in future builds.
@@Omega-EP I don’t really follow a schedule, whenever I see something interesting I’ll just give it a try, a lot of times they come from suggestions/requests in the comments.
Thx for the comparison! Could you also share your thoughts on how Sakura vs Milky Yellows feel? Is it true that Sakura is more smooth (better lubed in stock) and light?
Hello! I just bought milky yellows, but when I replaced the spacebar switch on the rainy75 with the milky yellows it sounds so weird, it's like the stem is too low for the milky yellows and i am only hearing the stabs... did you have the same issue? >< Awesome vid btw!
@@MechWhisper the other keys yes... only the spacebar doesn't but i changed the milky yellows stem with another switch stem and now it kinda sounds like the video!
@@Vady777 I highly recommend lubing it to get the most out of it, it’s slightly scratchy when you put it up against your ears but less noticeable when you start typing because the typing sound will drown out the scratchy noise. But still, lubing it will make it a lot smoother.
People tend to say THOCKY is so delicious... and here I am .. using one of the Thockiest keyboard of all time and grew tired of it ... I dreamed of a thock keyboard? now that I used it I kinda like the marbly clacky sound just like this HMX Ziwei
@@MechWhisper Yeaaa..Thock sounding annoys me now .. and also now I kinda understand why Hippyo lean towards light and clacky sound .. as long as it doesn't sound hollow and pingy
I didn’t check the size but I think it’s between 1.5 and 2.0 according to what I have read online, I used the wowstick which is an all in one tool for these kind of tasks
One option is to sell the cocoa switches (if it doesn’t suit you) and buy a new set of thocky ones; there are plenty of budget ones which sound really decent
Milky Yellow are absolute beasts for its price
I agree

True, but tbh its sound is a bit hollow for me😂😂😂
The oil kings are pure thocc. The milky yellows are pure marble. I want both.
The oil kings sound so crunchy XD
I have my Rainy75 paired with Akko Rosewood. Love that combo.
oooii!! oil kings ftw, literally just ordered rainy75
The new Akko Rosewoods. Hands down. Nothing else comes close right now.🤤🥰
I also find milky yellows to be very close to oil kings. I like oil kings a bit more
Would love to see if Rainy pairs Vertex V1 or deeper HMX switches such as Canglan V2 :D
I'm currently using my rainy75 with Vertex v1. Its so creamy and lower pitch sound than original switches (WOB switches)
“It only gets creamier” crazy title ngl

It's one of my favourite switch. The HMX Ziwei, even though stock, is very smooth and clean sounding.
Lemme have a go at em ;)

Which rainy 75 do you have stock, standard or pro?❤

HMX violet is the same as ziwei I think
@@MechWhisper ok thanks, that cleared it up
Oil King is really deep. But I think I'm leaning more into poppier, clackier sound

Milky yellows and the wob switches are very different imo.
@@MechWhisper absolutely : milky its deep muted sound , wob is loud thocky a little bit high pitch (similar to zwei on video)

Hard to pick a favorite, maybe the CIY Sakuras
im thinking of getting the oil kings but I cant decide if I should get the hi75 or the gmk67 as the base board.

Both are great, gmk67 is cheaper, but it only has plastic case and no flex cuts
hi75 is wired only, gmk67 is trimode

kang whites!
Milky yellows ofc
Vertex v1 on any leobog with moa keycaps.

Amazing video. Planning on getting this board. What is your opinion on getting the oil king, VS the akko Creamy yellow, VS the milky yellow?

How is the milky yellow compared to JWK Snow Squid? Wondering cause they sound very similar

Milky yellows are smoother stock, but Sakura has a louder bottom out at the same time still giving that creamy sound profile.
Not a fan of that spacebar sound, probably could use a different switch for it on the kang ktt whites

What you've done with the Oil Kings and Milky Yellow? Only hand lubbed? No films or anything?
