This is a business tool. I think Apple is HOPING consumers are crazy enough to buy it, but that would be the 3D TV move of VR. It does have some tricks a lot better than HoloLens, but it's basically the same kind of device. Content creation looks like one of its better uses, depending...👁
I thought people forgot the HoloLens even existed! But yes, this is immediately where my mind went to. The screen on the HoloLens 2 isn't as good, as far as memory goes at least from when I got to mess around with one. But this is essentially the same thing, only worse as you MUST be tethered... But if we're talking about it being a competitor to the HoloLens, it does pack a lot more power under the hood. ;)
I'm blown away by the potential of the Vision Pro, but the price tag is just too high right now. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this tech as it develops
The price will always be high. This is apple. Let's be VERY honest here. Also this is very dystopian. Will be full of ads everywhere you go in the future. Just like in cyberpunk 2077 or if at home it's gonna Wall-E.
Idk, even at half the price it'd still be a tough sell. Esp. with that external brick that looks like it should hold 20Ah but only provides 15.8% of that.
probably after 2 to 3 years the will release the apple vision base version because the apple vision pro is called pro like the iPhone 15 pro or pro max they will release a base version obviously and a pro max version with M4 chip I think in the future because its the first apple vision there will be it's like the apple watch when they release the series they released the se version and the ultra also so it's just a matter of time to get the base version and probably with M4 chip
Apple is ironically the only tech company I actively don't buy first generation for. iPhone, iPad, macs, etc. It's always a big leap forward that is overpriced and quickly beat in every possible way by the third iteration. Sometimes even the 2nd. Consoles like the ones that Sony release, for example, don't have quite those same problems. Future iterations basically tighten the failure rate, and give cosmetic advantages I don't care about.
I definitely support most people waiting. But at the same time once developers truly get their hands on this thing, the usefulness will present itself in leaps and bounds.
Missed opertunity with the battery route. They should of gone the same direction as BobaVR with the magnetic replacement batteries. They can actually still do that by making it an option even which I think would be way better. Especially fot the price.
I want to wait a year or two before seriously considering these. 1) want to see if more companies will make apps for it 2) want to see if any early adopters develop any eye issues from wearing it 3) want to see what practical applications arise from using it 4) want to see if the price comes down a bit 5) want to see if any bugs and design issues get worked out
The app integration is the only concern for me... Eye issues, not an issue for mixed reality headsets like this, unlike the google lens where you were forced to look at one corner, this has information everywhere on the screen, so your eyes constantly move. Many practical applications COULD arise from it, such as all the applications the Microsoft HoloLens is currently being used for (primarily mixed reality simulations, training, visualising blueprints and designs in real time, in the environment they are intended for etc). The price will not likely come down... Again, HoloLens 2 came out 2019 and costs $700 more. It's the closest to this headset I have seen.
@@notnicknamed "eye issues are a non issue with vr headsets " Not true. Super stupid, super lame, maybe a future product of just sunglasses and not a headwrap, but I doubt Apple would ever be the one to get there first. It doesn't even have AI or anything actually cool about it.
Apple doesn’t intend the vision pro to be for everyone. The same way Piero Ferrari doesn’t make Ferrari’s for everyone. They are for people that can pay the price they command. Simple
Not out in Singapore yet, but already scalpers are getting them in and trying to sell them for $4500 haha. No thanks, will get metaquest 3 and wait for apple vision pro slim
are you telling me all these apple heads that love apple tech arent aware that vr headsets already exist and there's headset better than this? that's fucking wild to me wtf lmao
Actually, adjusted for inflation, the price of this Vision Pro is about half the price of the original Macintosh in 1984. That's the last time Apple gave us an entirely new way to interface with our computers that was difficult to explain to people who had never seen it. Yours is the most positive review/introduction I've seen so far. Looks like a lot of fun. But as a really fancy iPad, I'm thinking the primary use of this device will be media consumption. I know Apple usually doesn't invest in products that die these days, but I don't see this going past two or three versions before being cancelled.
Dude NO ! you should have waited for the lens, we've seen the unboxing many times over on other channels anyways. Take care of your eyes man.Instead give us a unique Denki Style long term review
Get it to the size of ray ban and i will buy 5 for my family. Otherwhise it will only function as another vr headset for gamers if they open it to third party. Or it will be lame as fuck. Who wants to wear this with other people in the room. They will laugh at you.
Super stupid, super lame, maybe a future product of just sunglasses and not a headwrap, but I doubt Apple would ever be the one to get there first. It doesn't even have AI or anything actually cool about it.
As a audiophile... Wireless is dog s*** apple not putting a headphone jack, is so apple... Still makes me mad, the corpos can't follow this!
Okay, legit though.
How is it for porn?
are you telling me all these apple heads that love apple tech arent aware that vr headsets already exist and there's headset better than this? that's fucking wild to me wtf lmao
It's still price-competitive with a high-end huge-screen TV.
