A bunch of people will probably mention this but in the Manga they clarify that during that montage of Lemillion fighting without his quirk that he battled Overhaul while protecting Eri with NO quick for 5 whole minutes before Deku and the rest of them showed up. Bro is unequivocally the GOAT
the scene is accompanied by this text (im commenting so lachy can read it as is his wish!) "Fifteen minutes since Mirio arrived on the scene... Five minutes since he was shot with the Quirk-eliminating round. Even with that overwhelming disadvantage... Fighting two on one... Quirkless for a full third of the battle, he fought -- No. He protected her."
I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. That's an insane amount of time to fight someone period. But to do it without the ability you were born with and cultivated? Insane.
@springdeerling7866that’s why he’s the goat. Number 1. Because just like the last one he was more than willing to fight and die even without his powers and damn did he make the bad guys fear that determination
I think my favorite thing ever about this ep, is there’s a shot of Lemillion holding Eri to his chest (it’s a bit more pronounced in the manga). Lemillion’s whole thing was what makes a hero is saving at least a million people, note his name, Lemillion (least a million). However, in this episode, when he’s holding Eri, she’s covering all the zeroes, so only the 1 is left, because saving one still makes you a hero.
i love overhaul as a character (sort of) and villian but the amount of torture he put eri through will never be forgotten. who knows how many times he's killed that poor girl as a result of cutting and draining her entire body
i feel rocklock is missunderstood because of the lack of informations on him. first of all i wont defend the way he speaks, he is rude but that is ok, so is bakugo and i will defend him and die on that hill every time when people start hating on bakugo just because of the way he speaks. But most of his hostility comes from his self-hate. he is adult, he should be the one protecting the kids yet he is forced to be on front lines with kids. Just then and there he feels like he failed as a hero. Then those very kids are outshining him. Then the whole time that he sees people hurting, heroes hurting, KIDS hurting... he thinks how lot of it could be avoided if Nighteye used his powers to look at future and plan accordingly. So even before the raid started he was mad at nighteye, mad at hero society, mad at himself. But in the end even someone who hated every second of his screentime can admit that guy was cooking in this episode. In the end he is still a hero, thinks like a hero, acts like a hero. Just like how we learn bakugo was holding so much inside him and felt responsible for what happened to all might and that made him act more aggressive, rocklock also had lot on his plate but he still owned his mistakes and accepted that he cant do what he should as an adult and protect the kids so he did what he can. he trusted kids and took a support role. I wont pretend i like his character a lot, i just want to say that seeing character like him makes the story better for me as it humanizes those who should be idolized.
18:43 just to clarify, Mirio has been getting shot at with standard bullets so far. He didn't know that Chisaki passed the quirk-removing bullets instead. I'm sure Mirio would've still jumped inbetween even if he knew that but despite Overhaul's quirk (restoring Eri from the dead), Mirio wasn't gonna let her get shot at. He could have let the bullet pass through him and let Eri get hit but he also didn't do that either. He was about to sacrifice himself to take a bullet while also stopping Eri's cycle of getting casually killed for others. and that he did, although instead he sacrificed his own quirk for it!
One of the first things I thought about when I saw this scene, was that if All Might had passed on One For All to Mirio, then it would be erased too, wouldn't it? There's so much impact to that one moment--we get some major L's for the heroes, but most importantly (from my perspective, anyway) we can see the potential in Mirio that Nighteye sees, we can see that Mirio definitely was deserving for One For All; and we also see why it's good he didn't. It helps solidify Midoriya as the right choice as the successor.
that is very difficult "what if" scenario to be objectively deconstructed. Yes if we go from the end point then you can say that Mirio would also lose one for all. But if he had one for all then any of the punches that he landed could easily stop the fight there. you could say Mirio not having OfA is reason why that fight resulted in the way it did. Also Mirio with Deku's speed could dash and scoop Eri out of the way instead of being forced to run with his own basic speed and barely get in time to get in the way of bullet. He could also avoid the fight alltogether by grabbing Eri and simply using his strength to break the walls and escape (he can run away by going through the walls but he cant take eri with him, if he had one for all he can break the wall and take eri with him). it is very difficult debate. We can go even further back and say that if mirio got one for all deku would never join UA and Mirio would be alone back in the scene where the two first see eri with overhaul so maybe Mirio acting the way he was he would miss something important and they would never find out about ERI angle that eventually ended up being the crucial element of the raid.
What wasn't mentioned, and i think does dis-service to miro, is that lemillion fought chisaki for a whole of 20mins after losing his quirk. But oh man, what a point to end the episodes lol. I still remember being at edge of my chair when finishing the episodes and cusing the weekly release schedule (or cursing myself that i should've waitied for it to be all released then watch)
20 mins total, 5 mins quirkless. Still insane though , fighting a 2 v 1 against someone who can kill you with a touch AND use the floor as a weapon, all while protecting someone behind you, with nothing but punches, kicks and a good head on your shoulders
I haven’t seen it in any of the comments on TH-cam, but just letting you know I do not think toga has the blood from eraser head because she dropped it while trying to get away from Deku
11:02 the author is a big fan of Star wars. There's been several references to it so far. Dubbing and subtitles for stuff like that usually gets censored, ESPECIALLY in JoJo's bizarre adventure. Like Sticky fingers being changed to "zipper man"
Oh my god i think u could have did a triple episodie here. Now im dying waiting for THAT. I think mha will have the most peaked animation from here till the end. Mostly the best animation in all anime u have watched. U r gonna see it.
Overhaul is my favorite villain in the series; he looks cool, he has a cool VA, and he's an easy villain to hate and want to defeat. Also, that episode 11 is easily one of the best and most emotional episodes of the series; Lemillion is such an epic guy!
I missed this awwww :( but I'm excited to have two new ones to catch up to!! 😌 Also LMAO I know the scene is sad but that "are you fisting me" in the first few seconds almost had me spitting out my drink 😂 Edit 1: FUCK I have to ready myself for some serious fucking sobbing for these next few episodes and I just rewatched them recently too dammit Edit 2: stop making me laugh when I'm crying LMAOOO
His ult8mare move says "phantom threat" for copyright purposes 💀 in the manga, and as well as what the VA said, its phantom menace, the author is a big fan of starwars lol
Honestly had to look it up cause I didn't know. Overhaul is 27 rn and eri is 6. I thought she'd be 5-6 but I thought overhaul was in his early 20s not late
After the next two episodes, it would be a great time to react to the first movie. The 2nd you want to watch after the season 4 finale. They are fantastic, especially the 2nd one.

@springdeerling7866 and against a guy who can literally kill you by touching you
@springdeerling7866that’s why he’s the goat. Number 1. Because just like the last one he was more than willing to fight and die even without his powers and damn did he make the bad guys fear that determination
Mirio is THE BESTEST BOY
I’ve loved him since he showed up but this right here solidified why he’s at the top of my favorites list.

THAT IS SOOO COOL!!
Easily one of my favorite arcs in the whole series. A dang rollercoaster of emotions.
God I sometimes forget how good this arc is, but watching this channel feels like I'm getting to see it for the first time again.
Its soooo good so far

I was praying for a triple episode today 😭
My bad G

Hmmmm so true, I hadn't thought of it like that
It's crazy Mirio fought Overhaul for 5 minutes without his powers.
Bro is the goat
I'm crying in the club... 😭
Interestingly, with the revelation that Eri is it a Boss’s granddaughter, in theory that would make overhaul her adoptive uncle so to speak
I am so sorry those episodes are the only 2 you get to watch 😢 such great episodes.
They where suchhh good episodes though, this season has been so great

I think I wanna get one as well
