    Go, Owasso! From a former Okie (KTUL and KOTV - long before you were born) who worked years ago with a Nazarene Church in VA - with another OETA friend. Our productions were much simpler. Services and concerts were archived to Betacam or to DVD. This was before webstreaming. We had 2 older broadcast Sony/Thomson ENG cameras...
    I am impressed with your camera choices.
    Good planning!

    Thanks for sharing the setup. TH-cam is so full of high end setups that are just so out of reach for people on a reasonable budget. Most folks just want a descent setup that switches and records in 1080 as they are not trying to broadcast the Super Bowl. Thanks for you time!

      You can use the HDMI output to connect to a Blackmagic ATEM Mini (or other capture cards) and plug it directly into your computer. The ATEM Mini allows the camera to be recognized as a webcam by the computer, which you can then use as the camera for your stream

    Any way you could send me a still frame (or a minute marker on one your YT live streams) of what your camera 1 (GH4 35-100) looks like? And how far is it positioned from your stage? We’ve had a GH4 for a while but have a prime lens since we only used it for interview style shots and now are looking for a similar set up to the one you have. Would really appreciate it. Glad to see it’s working for your church!!

      Smash Time Productions Bescor pan/tilt. Really good product, but if you can.. I’d recommend the Panasonic pan/tilt. Find a used one on eBay. Either/or are really good. I have one used Panasonic pan/tilt that I control using a remote control from a toy car/drone. Reviews say these will last longer.
      Again, bescor is great! It’s what I started on. Have had mines for 5+ years now.

    Hello friend, one question, do you recommend the Sony a6000 for long streams, I have a little doubt and fear since I do live streams on twitch and they are long maybe 4 or maybe 6 hours and obviously the camera will be connected to a fake battery connected to the electricity all the time, that's why the reason for my fear when streaming I don't know if the camera overheats they told me that the Lumix G7 doesn't overheat in video and I don't know which one to choose I would appreciate it if you gave me your opinion, I hope see your answers, thanks.

How do you use manual focus with the camera's? currently have autofocus setup with face detection, but want to know more about your setting with manual focus. Thanks! Very helpful video. Just put a very similar setup together at our church thanks to your video. I went with the Holy land Mars 300 for wireless. Working very well so far. After the first couple of videos I realized the hyper decks output was too large. All the 256 gb SD was getting used after an hour into the service because the default codec is prores HQ. What codec are you using?. Just switched to H.264 and was wondering if that output will still be good.

    GREAT INFO. I learned a lot in a very quick short video. Very informative. Quick question what brand of cable are you using from your mini hdmi to hdmi to maintain HD quality. My concern is I will lose quality running a long cable say 100ft to our AV room. THANKS!!!

    • @CBCowasso
      @CBCowasso  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Christian Home MBC you cant run hdmi more than 50ft and that is risky. Convert to Belden 1694a SDI cable. Then back to hdmi again. Blackmagic hdmi to SDI converters are fine.

  • @destinfarr
    @destinfarr 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I highly advise recording in 23.976 fps (24). This will allow a much more natural motion blur. Of course, following the 180-degree shutter angle rule. In this case, 1/50.
    Contrary to what was stated in the video, this is very easily managed in post-production. Simply make your timeline and monitoring to be 24 fps.

    • @CBCowasso
      @CBCowasso  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      24p is a great framerate, and we use it all the time. Especially when mixing with 60p slowmotion at 40%. But use whatever frame rate you prefer, and honestly don't be too hung up on the 180 degree rule. "cinematic" motion blur in a church service is not really that different than 29.97. We shot at 60p with a shutter speed of 60 forever, no big deal. Now we do 29.97 at 60 shutter and it's really not much different. Try out different frame rates and see what you like best.

    • @destinfarr
      @destinfarr 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CBCowasso Speaking in regards to an industry standard, and a very keen eye on noticing the visual flow; 60fps is very apparent and gives more of an amateur/soap opera appearance. 30fps is permissable but still not as good as 24fps. There's a reason the majority of movies and shows use 23.976.
      We've mixed these rules with various cameras over the past, and people that don't know film are actually reaching out and saying they like the look of a particular camera better, and it's the one that I'm properly setting with 24, 1/50. There's a reason film experts have stood behind this for many years :)

    Looking to get camera that we can use to record our service. I am looking at buying a Cannon photo camera because Cannon has released software that allows connecting some of their cameras directly to the USB port on the PC - no HDMI to USB converter needed! That would save $150 for the converter that we could put towards the better camera. The question: What lens do I need to be able to take decent close-up shots from a distance of 50' ? REALLY appreciate this video. Question:
    I have a Panasonic G85 which is similar to the G7. I have it hooked up to a wireless HDMI transmitter, so the feed is sent to a camera switcher in our tech booth. Is it best for me to be NOT recording from the camera itself? Basically, I have the camera on and in Movie mode... I just never hit the record button. We have equipment recording everything in the booth. Will I run the risk of the camera just shutting off since nothing is recording from the camera itself?

If you get 100 feet away in a packed room you may get dropouts. They say as long as the receivers are 10ft apart you are good. Nice video. Do you recommend the Nyrius Aries Pro as a solution for wireless cameras in the LIVE streaming multi-camera set-up? How is the latency? Is there any noticeable latency between the camera that uses the Nyrius vs the other sdi/hdmi cameras? Are there any drawbacks regarding video/sound quality for the Nyrius? How good is the range and how reliable is the connection? Do you have any problems at all with the product? If I understood correctly, you planed on buying a second Nyrius Aries Pro. Do the 2 units interfere? Is everything running smooth?
    Sorry for asking so many questions. I am from Romania (Eastern Europe), and after seeing this video a few weeks ago the idea of a wireless camera stuck with me for our church. It seems that the Nyrius will be the best (affordable) solution for us as well, but I need to be sure that it is exactly what we need. In Europe I couldn’t find any seller of the Nyrius, however I can buy it from the USA. Returning it if it is not good enough will be a problem as you can imagine, and reselling will be a hustle. If you can take the time, please give me as many details as possible regarding the Nyrius Aries Pro, or any other suggestions/recommendations you may have.
    We are using Panasonic cameras for the same cost reasons in our church. I took me a few years of research as well, so I recommend them wholeheartedly. We use 2 FZ2500 (you should check out the FZ2500 as well - motorized long-range zoom + a ~GH4 body for the price of the lens alone), 1 GH5, 1 G85 and I threw in my old Nikon D5200 for the Piano keyboard close-up a couple of weeks ago. If you want to check out our channel, it is called AZSMR Bucov on TH-cam (www.azsmr-bucov.ro is our website).
    Looking forward to your answer. May God bless your work

      Horia Ionita I’ll report back after this weekend with the new antennas. These do operate in the 5ghz band so we had to disable that in our wifi routers. Seems like mainly people and walls cause it as they are line of sight. New antenna looks very promising.

      @HoriaIonita 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      CBC Owasso Ok. Thank you very much. The antennas operate exactly on 5 GHz? From what i read, the device should operate from 4.9-5.9 GHz. Is there any way to change the frequency that they use (since you have 2 pairs, they surely use different frequencies)? From the reviews on Amazon, it seemed that both the receiver and transmitter get really hot and then become unreliable. Also, a lot of complaints about them starting to dropout the signal more often as time passed (a few months to a year). Did you encounter the same problems?
