We have the same setup at our church, and you can broadcast to TH-cam and Facebook at the same time using restream.io which is mentioned on sling studios website. It’s pretty awesome and free 👍🏽

I thought Facebook's ToS prohibited streaming to other services when streaming to fb? Also, facebook stream quality is quite low. Only 720p and 4000kb/s I think.

Cards TalkPoscast yeah they have tiers but I personally use the free tier
You can broadcast to Restream from Slingstudio and from there you can go to TH-cam and Facebook at the same time. A great feature that's overlooked is you can download an app on iphone and use it as another camera source.

Hi this Binay Bhandari pastor at Word and Life Church Pittsburgh. I have question regarding good audio setup through sling studio because it has only small 3.5 mm wire goes to sling studio. Please help me on this how to set up.
Any recommendations of a cheaper live stream set up? Any tips on major things to watch out for that could go wrong?
Obs is a free software computer. You can even use your phone as a camera for it. Get a decent $500 camera and a $150 focusrtie audio interface and you can livestream full HD maybe even 4k to TH-cam and Facebook.
How did they hook up the audio into the camera?
We are using sling studio to broadcast on TH-cam and we also use ProPresenter 6. I not sure if we need something else besides the Master Control Module.
If you could have a video about that would be really helpful for churches that are trying to do that.
How do I sync the audio with the video?

How do you set up Pro presenter with Sling studio? I understand that it connects to the hub through HDMI, but how do you switch cameras and add text at the same time with 2 different softwares? Please make a video to explain this

use the hdmi in on the back of the sling studio. pro presenter will see the sling studio hub as broadcom 2.0

hi is it possible to explain how you did the overlay / Lower thirds. We currently have SlingStudio and Propresentor and I would like to set it up for my church so we can be able to watch the worship and lyrics at the same time. thanks in advance!
You may have figured it out by now but I am gonna post a video soon. But here it is. On pro7 you can send a second audience video out directly to SlingStudio using HDMI. I set up a theme exclusively for that feed. The theme can be setup how you prefer your lower thirds. I make my background green like a green screen so that on SlingStudio I can easily use a chromakey to key out all green. Leaving only the white text. Over on your SlingStudio app. Touch the three dots on the bottom right side of your new lower third feed and select chromakey. Then check the box labeled Use Chroma Key. You will then be able to select the color you want to key out. Of course I select the green. Once you do this it will allow you to layer this feed on your other camera feeds. This explanation was brief but I hope it helps.

How are your monitor connected to Sling Studio? Hard wired or wireless?
Is there a delay issue between the camera and the audio from the mixer, and a delay going from the switcher to the lobby?
He said there is a slight delay but I’m not sure of the exact latency. I’m gonna test this system soon so you can expect content from us in the future. Doesn’t help now but just saying.

When you send the video to the TV in your lobby is there a delay? We are running the same thing, but we have about a 3 second delay from the production inside to the TV's outside. If so, how did you get rid of that problem and what was your solution?
There will be always a delay when you send signals to external outputs
Hello, what presenter software does this church use? We are planning to get a slingshot hub and cameralinks, but I am wondering how to present both in the livestream and inside the church.
ProPresenter 6. However, for your situation, I would highly recommend using ProPresenter 7 because then you can have one computer and output to both the church and the livestream. (In this video, Pro7 had not been released.)

looks like they are just sending the HDMI output from the lower thirds Pro Presenter computer into Sling Studio then cropping it down.
@@fccymm thank you. Currently we have faithlife proclaim doing 4 lines on the main projection screen. I guess we'd have to make it down to 2 lines or so to make it fit in the lower thirds.
Family Christian Centre we have been trying to figure this out for some time. We use the SlingStudio system and we run ProPresenter 6. We connected our Mac to the SlingStudio hub via HDMI but have not been able to get words to show up or overlay. There has to be some kind of output settings or input settings to cause this to show up and overlay. Anyone have any instructions? Seems this is the pressing question that gets no answer.

Are you using the Multi-Channel Module, Alpha Channel Module, or both? With that, are you using a Matrox DualHead2Go (or something similar) to split the ProPresenter output?
today we used the Cannon 800 with the Elgato HD60 S to live stream on our church Facebook page. Our upload speed over WiFi is about 5-6 mbps. The camera was set about 35 feet away from the pulpit and with the camera zoomed we noticed the picture quality was not good when live. Just wanted to get your input on what we can do to get good picture from that distance.
I’d look into running a wired connection for the best constant connectivity.

You either have to have Pro7 or Pro6 with the Alpha Channel Module, then yes
David Tucker can you elaborate? We use the sling studio system and we run Propresenter 6 and looking to upgrade to 7. We have tried connecting our Mac to the SlingStudio hub via HDMI in but cannot seem to figure out how to get the images to appear. Is there a certain output setting from ProPresenter or input setting on the SlingStudio app we should know about on the switcher iPad? Thanks so much in advance!

Is it possible to use cellphone's mobile hotspot to livestream?
You basically need 1Mbps+ (preferably 2Mbps) actual upload speed for a good quality 1080p (Full HD) streaming. But you have to confirm that your network gives 5 to 7 Mbps when speed testing it (on speedtest.net as an example) to allow for different low-speed cases.
As for the smartphone options, out of my experience, the iPhone is mostly restricted by telecom companies when used as a hoptspot. Android phones are almost free from their control, so you better use it, Most Samsung and Huawei models are fine. Connect your smartphone to your PC/laptop and just activate hotspot through USB.

How are you, how to connect the iPad to the monitor?
The iPad is connected to the Sling Hub Wirelessly. There is an HDMI out that from the Sling Hub that shows your program feed (final output). It looks like they are splitting that feed to go to their monitor in the booth and all of the different monitors scattered around the building.

Please help!!! I am having trouble with the sound when broadcasting to Slingstudio. I take my sound from an X32 mixer bus to the line in on Slingstudio, then simulcast using Castr. The sound becomes distorted on phone but is fine on the laptop or TV.
Hey Isaac, I hope this helps lol. But I’m also using the same system as you besides castr... what imagine is that the stuff is probably too loud.. on sling you can check the gain level and make sure nothing is red... that’s always a problem... Also, look at your gains on the actual x32 and make sure your levels are good in the sends. Another thing that could help is looking at EQing the bus and working with compression to control the levels better. Hope this helps!

Wondering what kind of video latency there is in this setup?
There is a bit of latency (around 1 second) but it's not an issue to the director and the audience watching remotely. The only time this might be an issue is if you are projecting the video output live in the venue. However, we have an HDMI-passthrough mode that reduces that latency to about a half second. Otherwise, the multiple video sources are all synchronized.
Inside ProPresenter, it's showing what SHOULD be going to my SlingStudio (through HDMI in on back of SlingStudio) but I'm just getting a mirror of my computer screen, showing what the ProPresenter operator is seeing. Any help?

for some reason i’m not getting any signal from the x32 to the aux in.. the same buss works with my irig but no signal to sling studio
if they put a Monarch Matrox, they can stream both n.n and also have another copy recorded.

This is a good question. Probably not unless you’re phone has a way to send a video signal via HDMI. You should ask SlingStudio.
There is an app “Sling Studio Capture” for iOS and android phones that allows you to use your phone as a source
Yes, you can use iPhone and Android smartphones as video sources using the free SlingStudio capture app. However, smartphone range to the SlingStudio hub might only be 50-75feet. But when using a SlingStudio CameraLink attached to your camera/camcorder/DSLR, you will get a range of 300 feet.
i want to start a podcast that has only two cameras and two, maybe three microphones. this seems like overkill but i cant find anything else on the market like it. can your perhaps mention some names for competition w the sling
S†EPFΔM STUDiO you should get a blackmagic atem mini along with a usb audio interface like s focusrite scarlet. This should get you covered in all situations.
Great video! Looking to do something very similar. What is the reason for the big switcher? I might have missed it. But we are looking at a 2 camera system at the most, and we use ProPresenter. Do the overlays for lyrics and sermon notes need to be done within ProPresenter to work? We have always done slides in PowerPOint and then imported them into ProPresenter. Also, it looked like there was a big screen on stage. Are the cameras pointed lower than the screen? We have a large screen on stage too, and I don't even know if we need the lower thirds if we capture the screen. Thanks.
HOW DO WE ADD A 5TH CAMERA, Why it is not displaying in video sources, only 4 source video showing. i used 3 iphone and 2 camera link, but the 5th camera is only showing on the additonal source tab but we cannot able to switch to that camera, how to solve this problem.
SlingStudio only allows 4 at a time, but you can have the other one ready to add as "additional source" if you want to add it.

We don't know anybody that knows about streaming, so I'm kinda on my own trying to help our Church. I want to help our Church stream, specially now, with the limiting of access to Services. I live in FL, and they have shut service down in our County for the time being, to slow the spread. But I'm praying to Jehovah, that He provides the rest of what we need. And I thank you for posting an awesome video on streaming. 🙏✌

Ive had (2) Sling Studio and its VERY good for a first system. BUT notice I said I had (2) and they both died right before shows. Get a Vmix PC and go bigger to save trouble. Sling Studio won't do RMA's they make you buy NEW devices. Its sooo powerful but a BIG let down. I run the video team / setup for "The City Church" in Batavia NY, we use Vmix. Look us up on TH-cam or Facebook.

Yeah this was more of an overview. But my church just purchased SligStudio, so I will be doing more content on the setup process in the future. I know that doesn’t help now but just saying it.
Hey, Josh. We run Pro6 on both machines with the Master Control module. In the thirds computer, we have a template we use for worship slides that has two lines of text and a black box that's set to be a little see-through to help with our chroma keying. This isn't impressive. This takes like 4 people to properly run. Get it down to 1 person with 1-2 computers then it is impressive. The sling studio stuff is almost $1500 by it self not to mention the iPad, Mac, Camera, etc. I wouldn't consider this affordable.

I've been using SlingStudio for the past few months for broadcasting at a church I work at. SlingStudio is the worst broadcasting software out there. Yes it's free, but honestly, it's crap. You can't use more than 4 cameras. The church I work at has 6. I'm changing to vMix to broadcast now. Don't use SlingStudio at all. Not worth it.

"affordable" ? Over $4000 for a single manual camera setup? I have got to do a video on my churches setup. We spent less than $1500 and most of that (over $800) was because we wanted the camera with remote control pan tilt and zoom. I'm sure the picture from this is better but once sent over facebook and viewed on a phone or tablet most people couldn't tell.
Please post your solution, my church needs to do something ASAP.
@@bruceblair1265 I will do a video as soon as I can but quick answer - for camera we used the aver cam520pro and a Dell precision 1700 (refurb) from Amazon. We added a HDMI capture card to grab the screens that we use for lyrics and scripture. The PC runs OBS for the streaming which is free.
@@bruceblair1265 if you are fine with having multiple cameras you can probably get by cheaper - our pastor didn't want the clutter in the sound booth and we went with a ptz cam so we can only have one but still get a good view of the entire front.
