Great video comparison! Solution finish. Cerakote looks great initially but in the future say 1year or 2 years down the line it’s very finicky and doesn’t like accepting another layer as the ceramic rejects it. With solutions finish you can just re apply at a later date if need be and it will always be absorbed. I stopped putting ceramic protection especially coatings on trim for that reason. 😢 Lithium is great to but doesn’t fill as good you may need another application but it’s super durable in terms of washing but the fading comes back quickly it’s all variables. Love the content 💪
@@johnnybravo7580 you can. It’ll prolong it longer for sure. But you’re just adding another step after. Which you have to wait hours before applying the over the top sealer. In terms of longevity I’ve seen an extra 3-4 months of durability. Which to me is not that significant especially since it was on a couple of vehicles that had solution finish for over a year and a half. But you can tell it was time to prepare to re apply again
I used CeraKote on an 80s Monte Carlo with very faded trim. I really liked it. Could probably use another coat due to how extremely faded the trim was. Will stick with CeraKote . Keep up the good work!!!
Really great video - I particularly like that you did exactly as the instructions say which is what us weekend detailers would do. Also love the kiddy’s chair and cat photo bomb. Thumbs up and new subscriber.
I’ve used both solution finish and Cerokote. Cerokote last longer and a lot less messy to put on. The wipes can get into the small places plus Cerokote gives you more than enough to do 1 car. Also Cerokote drys within a hour so technically you could put another quick coat on right after your done
Cool video! My vote is for Cerakote! I first applied it on my car 7 months ago and it's STILL going strong!! Also, you can't beat the price and accessibility (Walmart)!! It's a fantastic product!!
fully agree. completely restored a 2016 Escape and a 2012 CRV. brought back the solid grey trim, nice semi-gloss finish, looks like it came off the dealership lot again when paired with a nice wash and wax.
Hello, ive been watching you for a while and i greatly appreciate your videos. You used to have a video that showed how to start a mobile detailing business with around $1k which had some better quality products such as rigid vacuums from walmart and 50ft hose from home depot, ryobi pressure washer instead of the greenworks, along with other quality products the new 2023 $500-600 videos dont have because of the budget. I guess im asking if it would be possible to make another video with with quality products together. Possibly even the steam cleaner and ozone machine. A video for the ones ready for the next step. Sorry if im asking for too much. I just really liked the products from the $1k video Thank you for all you do mate.
Great vids dude - appreciate - regarding 'zebra' effect and Lithium G cubes, the zebra effect was already on plastic PRIOR to any G being applied - check video - so there is definitely something bizzarro going on with that part of the plastic wheel well trim - Cerakote and the G are both the TOP DOGS here - having to do a 2 step w/ solutions finish may be good - but as we all know and you say ....TIME WILL TELL.... Cerakote and G are so close in performance but my vote goes to: Lithium G ...again the race is TIGHT ...BTW....keep the cat....the cat is a great add ..REALLY
I would go with Lithium cubes and I’ve used it before and it done a really great job. It’s like it brings the plastic trim back to life. This video doesn’t do much justice. The instructions says if you need reapply again for better results you have to reapply and I’ve done that and it’s like brand new last 250 car washes more than five years
I was going to include it in this video but I’ve heard it actually fades away really quick, within a month or two. All of the products in this video I believe last longer than that. Hope that helps!
@@detailingbeyondlimits oh wow, that sucks... i just recently used it about about a month ago on a crv, it looked great, but have not seen that suv again, imma have to check up to see how its holding.... if its fading, imma have to use this products. thanks again
Hey Randy, what product would you recommend for trim that has that slight rough, raised texture to it. I've heard Cerakote flattens out the raised parts and caused it to become flat
Great video. Do you know what to use for interior car dash . My new murano has water spots on the shiny black plastic making it dull..how to restore it? TIA.
Good video. I kinda like having my things nice and the only part the I need to restore is the front i take cowl under the windshield. Either I buy a new one for $150 or restore it or not care about it.
So , how long does it last before needed to reapply? That's the most important question. And that's the test. Which one performed the best and how long does it last.
Great video. If you spoke fast and the info you was giving was just to blabber then it would be annoying, but everything you was explaining was very important and needed to be heard therefore it made it quite interesting and instructional. The kitty baby is the superstar of the video.
What you're missing is long term results and stress tests -- 200 washes is too much to make a simple video, so which one lasts longest under a UV lamp and through aggressive application of cleaners that take off everything except specifically attacking ceramic coatings?
I had to stop the video even before the product intro simply because the voice was way way to fast to listen to & was just mono tone so just garbled nonsense 😟😟
There are no cosmetics for a cheap plastic look other than shine or avoid buying vehicles not fully loaded meaning cheap panel everywhere😂 because you can't afford higher end
Why would I buy an expensive car that literally only takes me to work when I already have 2 other nice vehicles? Just hating for no reason why you on this video then
Not a very good review of trim products. There are so many out there that have good market share......and you left them out. A substantially better review would have included 15-20-25 washes and then take a look. Fail.
I was just considering these three products, perfect video. Thank you.
W for CeraKote
Thanks for watching! 😅
Cerakote products are awesome. I tried their headlight restore, and after a year, it's still looking great.
Keep up the good work bro! Your videos been helping me out a lot don’t stop !

Diy detailing has a product that kicks ass! It puts dye back into the trim and protects any we’re from 6 month to a year.

Came for plastic restoration, stayed for the kitty, learned a lot.
Really impressive and thorough comparison. Thanks for giving well-formed thoughts and having being clear about the full process!
Thanks for the well done video!

with which one the cerakote?
@@waynefilkins8394 both. bought two packs, did both vehicles. looks 20x better all dark and not faded.
I liked the outcome from CeraKote better than the other two, I'm going to try it, thank you for your time.

Is the one package of Cera Kote enough for the entire exterior trim or is two packages needed.
How shiny was the cerekote finish ...? Also was the trim surface smooth or did it have a textured surface ....?
