I think Mark's alien outfit actually looks better than what was used in the film! It's no wonder those aliens are cranky - they would never get any sleep with giant egg cup eyes that never close.
In the 50s they could do realism and real looking monsters like today but at that time they preferred things to not look real and cartoony and also restrictions, would scare people too much.

I woke up from what they call "twilight anesthesia" during my pacemaker implant surgery. I was on my back with both arms extended and strapped down on some kind of cross boards. My face was covered and I remember saying to the surgeon "get this off my face or I'm leaving". One of the people in the room said "give him a little more". I passed out again. So, it does happen. For the next two nights I had repeated flashbacks when trying to sleep.
I’ve had a pacemaker/defibrillator implanted and I’ve had open heart surgery (4 times, actually). Trust me; it’s a totally different level of anesthesia. You’re not going to wake up during OHS.

At 4:17 Mark should've gone 'Air Force? More like I was the only one not there-force' or something similar. Ah well, everyone misses a good pun or bit of wordplay from time to time, otherwise a great vid as always!
This movie creeped me out as a kid way back when. And that episode in the original Outer Limits (you know which one it was), where the villain also had those bugged out eyeballs. Visine should've made a killing in the marketplace.
This answers the question in Teenagers from Space on where they got a giant Lobster! I found it odd that the jet crash burned the pilot to a crisp but only caused Doug to need heart surgery. Egg Carton eyes are a good look for you. Air Force, more like,,,,humm,,,,snub force. that pause was neat.
