    Hey I was wondering how do I make my laser Carve out shapes because right now I only know how to engrave.

    • @lightburnsoftware7189
      @lightburnsoftware7189  ปีที่แล้ว

      To cut out shapes you will want to use "line" mode. Then set the power and speed needed for your laser to cut out the material you are using. You can create a grid under Laser Tools --> Material Test to run a range of speeds and powers so that you can find what works best.

    I am totally new with laser engraver/cutter and I have found your tutorial the best so far! Voice is clear and pace is perfect for me! I have just purchased the Atomstack X20 Pro but I suppose it is the same when using the Lightburn which I haven't started yet. I have much more confidence to try Lightburn after watching your video! Thanks a lot and keep on with your excellent work!

      @@lightburnsoftware7189 I am already aware of how and that you can use a translator. But as you said yourself, "It's not perfect"!
      And for a software you pay for, it should be possible nowadays to offer translations into other languages.

    I'm having an issue with this exact laser. The 15.75 inch (400mm) area doesn't work for me. If I send the laser to anything past 13.6 inches it brings up an error or issue and the laser will not move. If I change the working area from 15.75 in lightburn to 13.6 I can move the laser from end to end without issue. The only problem is of i load any image in larger than 13.6 inches it will not burn Do you know what could be causing this?

      This is enabled in the Device Settings Window. This is the wrench icon in the top toolbar. In that menu there is a setting called "Enable Laser Fire Botton". Once you turn that on there is another option beneath it "Laser on when framing" which is what you are wanting.

    Just figured this is a lightburn official video, but still want to point this out, thank you mate, thanks for showing me how to turn on the laser, I keep coming back to these tutorials because the UI is so counterintuitive, it's sad for me that lasergrbl doesn't work on my atomstack a10 pro, because Lightburn's UI is garbage. want to turn on the laser?? Why don't you go to the laser tab, oh wait, to turn on the laser you go to the MOVE TAB, not the LASER TAB, let that sink in. to TURN ON the LASER, I go to MOVE TAB, NOT LASER TAB. And don't get me started on the layer system. Want to create a new layer to change the settings on your figure, sure, here at Lightburn follow the industry standard of: Right click -> Create new layer... JUST KIDDING BRO, IF YOU WANT TO CREATE A NEW LAYER WE HAVE 33 UNNECESSARY AND RANDOMLY COLORED BUTTONS FOR THAT :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

    • @lightburnsoftware7189
      @lightburnsoftware7189  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you feel there are too many options, it may be worth activating beginner mode under settings. This will hide many of the more advanced features which you may find easier to navigate. Laser design and control contains many variables depending on the specific machine and tasks that you are trying to accomplish. Like anything else the more you use it the more familiar you will become. We have documentation and are constantly working on expanding our video guides to help with making the information as accessible as possible. If you have specific questions, our support team is incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to help.

    • @lightburnsoftware7189

      It could be drivers on the Mac. You also aren’t required to “Find” the laser. Ortur uses GRBL firmware, so you can just “Create Manually”, choose GRBL and enter the size, and choose front-left for the origin.

      well, it worked out after about 100 atempts. i had to delete all my saved devises, restart lightburn and then it found it. but now there is other issues. "there was a problem sending data to the laser, the machine may be busy or paused. lightburt is such a nice software when it works. but i does not a little bit to often. im using a ortur now, and this laser sertainly is not the best match with your software. what laser do you suggest i buy to make my life the least painful?@@lightburnsoftware7189

    Please help. All of a sudden, ortur/Lightburn is filling in letters instead of burning them as they look. For instance, the letter "O" will look like a solid circle. What happened? I changed computers and Lighburn instances and it still happens. Also, it seems like the power of the laser is extremely higher than 100% when it was never like that. thanks!!!

    Why does the diodes need mm/min instead of mm/sec ? Whats the difference ?

    • @lightburnsoftware7189
      @lightburnsoftware7189  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not required, and the only difference is in how the numbers are shown to you. 6000 mm/minute is the same as 100 mm/sec, but since diodes tend to cut very slowly, the "per minute" numbers tend to be used more often, and those are usually how people share diode settings online.

    Hello, I am having lots of problems getting this laser to connect to Ligthtburn. I have a Shapeoko CNC, also a Jtech laser in Lightburn. When I first assembled the Ortur laser all went well, auto homed, did a trial burn, turned out good. When I try to connect the Ortur laser now Lightburn doesn't recognize it when I hit search for laser. The Shapeoko just comes up. When I manually connect it com5 comes up and nothing works. I can't move the laser. Hitting the arrow buttons it makes a sound like it is trying to move but it doesn't. I am at a loss.

    • @lightburnsoftware7189
      @lightburnsoftware7189  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Where you able to initially ad the Ortur to LightBurn? If you were able to find it or add it manually the most common issue is that the COM port has changed. Power cycling, rebooting the machine, restarting LightBurn, and trying to set the Ortur as the "default machine" that LightBurn connects to when opening would be worth checking. If you are still having issues reach out to our team: support@lightburnsoftware.com

    • @lightburnsoftware7189

      Under devices settings enable laser fire button. Underneath that you can also enable laser on when framing. In the right toolbar\sidebar in the move menu is a power text box next to a fire button. Depending on the laser you may need to raise that a couple of percentage to be able to see the laser.
