Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S test ride: they nailed it

  • This is the test ride of the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S. This is a very special and great bike that differs from the other Guzzis in many ways. For the first time Guzzi introduced a liquid cooled V2 engine on a bike. The Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello is the first motorcycle in the world to incorporate adaptive aerodynamics. The V100 Mandello is ready to give its all even at lower speeds, it is very nimble and refined bike. Its 115 horsepower and 105Nm torque at 6750 rpm are complemented by an up-down quickshifter that contributes to the sportiness of a sport touring bike. Overall it is a very stylish modern sport touring Moto Guzzi. It looks amazing. They just nailed it. "Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S test ride: they nailed it."

Thanks for the review, I had an opportunity to test one here in Western Australia, and I found it to be beautiful/faultless ( I'm 185cm/ 100kg ) Most enjoyable bike I've ridden and having been riding for 44 yrs now, I've a lot to compare it with, my first Guzzi was a 1986 Le-mans 4! It seems like the engineers have read my mind, this V 100s is as close to perfect as Moto Guzzi has come !!!

OK, it's expensive, but so is the competition and it's fairly unique in that it is a sports tourer/roadster with real character. It is lovely on motorways and fine for the city including filtering. I've owned and loved several BMW Boxers going back to 1973. The addition of the Tele-Lever front suspension in the 1990s made them near perfect IMHO. I was MAJORLY disappointed when the new generation of R and RS 1200s went back to the INFERIOR telescopic front suspension. I don't want a GS, and I don't need/want an R-RT. To hell with BMW and all their GIZMOtronics. The Guzzi may still suffer from inferior front suspension design(like everyone else) but it seems to have retained a soul that BMW lost long ago.

They will do it. Sure. 1000 sounds just so small. Joke. Thanks man.😉👍

There is something wrong with the sound of your voice when you are wearing your helmet (e.g. 1m30s onwards). It sounds like the microphone is distorting, as if it cannot handle the volume of your voice. Could it be too close to your mouth? As well as the distortion, the sound is muffled, making it hard to hear what you are saying. I think maybe a different microphone would be a benefit.

Thanks for the comment Steve. I think that I had a flat battery. You know... when a battery is almost flat the sound is getting worse. You can start following my "Trip to Romania Series". Have fun bro and ride safe in 2024.

To each their own, I personally think it’s the most beautiful bike to come out since some of the Ducati’s.
