Omg , The donkeys were so excited and happy ! They’re going to love their new walkway once it’s all done . I’m so happy for them. ❤ I remember last year you were always worrying about the donkeys. Sorry Lincoln, that you had to work on a day you should have been resting. Lincoln ‘s friend it’s also a nice guy and he’s been great helping fix things with Lincoln. The château is just becoming a fabulous place.
I have to catch myself worrying and stop...its a constant battle I have worked on over the years ...I spend less time worrying but Im still working on it years later...

Absolutely loved this…especially at the end when the donkeys were running towards you chasing each other….you could almost hear one say, “Mom, he’s bugging me”!!! The updated enclosure will be wonderful for them. They looked extremely happy to be supervising your work!

Just a side note: check feet more often as abscesses tend to return from stone bruising if they romp too hard on the stuff. Rubber mats inside their run in shed would be good also under all that straw. We have the 4’ by 8’ by 1” thick ones. Their very heavy but worth it as clean up is much easier.

A really lovely video as usual… except.. Sincere commiserations to Lincoln…as I am equally ‘cranky’ at the moment with Cold AND Cough… …So needed a dose of Chateau Medication… Starting with a stunning shot of the Donkeys silhouetted against a lovely Sunset… would look good in a Chateau Calendar ???…if you did one???… The Donkeys were a real starting role this episode… Inspecting… wondering?… rolling around… Clearly loving the road to nowhere… and excited to having a private road if their own…If they could say THANKS ALOT… they both just did even better.. with a demonstration of JOYFULLNESS…You and Lincoln Did GOOD … 😃👏👏👏….( and eased the crankiness… for a while too….Sue ( UK)…🫠🫠

We have pneumonia floating around in the states. Careful, Lincoln. That's really interesting to watch. I'm sure there are plenty of uses that people could think of for it in their own space. Looking forward to the finished product.
In 2023 my husband had 13 episodes of some kind of cold or flu from the wee grandkids who think nothing of coughing in your face and have constant runny noses. I have sympathy Lincoln, hope you feel better. We’re on a vitamin C regiment now to see if it helps.

The donkey's look splendid healthy happy fun to watch. It seems. Too much for you. I find myself wishing you a financial windfall that would appear from shares in a dormant account to gain 200%. You could definitely do with some extra pairs of hands. And more gaiety in your lives. I never miss a video.

That is the largest roll of plastic I’ve ever seen! Those are happy donkeys. You might want to add a sandy area that drains so theycan have dust baths.

Great!!! We know how it feels finally getting something like that done for your animals. We live the same kind of life as you do in caring for our two old goats. My husband says Lincoln needs rest. Stay off his case Amanda.
Your concern about both your cats and your donkeys is admirable. You put your money and work where your values are. Being kind to animals is something I totally agree with. I have only had dogs in my life, but by this point I have had four miniature schnauzers, that lasted about 60 years. I hope that your animal friends have a good life in the paradise you’ve created.

You may also boil chestnuts. Bit easier than roasting. If you're feeling ambitious, make Creme de Marrons. Chestnuts, caster sugar, vanilla bean, cream, a bit of salt, brandy/cognac. Potage aux Marrons is a tasty soup.
How kind and loving you guys are with those two donkeys which are too cute, and harmless enjoying the pasture the healthy food, snacks and their very own French paradise on the grounds of the chateau. All the best. Have a great bountiful bumper crop from your cider apple orchard and make and sell the apple orchard in town.
