Volterra is a beautiful city, the historic roman amphitheater is amazing. I remember a very long stairway with a railing in the center that some tourists decided to slide down and injured themselves (don't be one of those tourists please). You have amazing friends and family, truly blessed.

I have loved all your renovations but taking the walls off that porch and turning it into a veranda -- what a difference! And thank you so much for showing off so much of Volterra, I will have to add that to my future travel list.

Ivy colonises a tree when it is dying, and helps remove it from the forest so other trees can grow.
Volterra (I hope I spelled it correctly) is absolutely beautiful. If only we could live multiple lifetimes so we could live in all of these wonderful places.

Oh, I love Volterra! I was there in September of this year, and also on my very first trip to Italy, years ago. The Etruscan museum is fascinating (as is the history of the city), and there's one shop in particular that's my favorite; the artist makes and sells her absolutely beautiful alabaster creations, many of which are carved from multiple shades of alabaster glued together. No two are alike.

I'm still amazed that previous owners left wood etc items. They have been gone for months !That would never happen here unless previous owners were family lol
I would never let it go this long. Call them and ask them if they can pick everything up by the end of the month because you need to do work on the property. Try that for a start. I would be charging them storage fees if they don’t come.
It’s amazing that the previous owners haven’t come back - but I would be tempted to get rid of their stuff now. Adore your Sunday videos - and living the new Wednesday one too ❤

Wow, you guys!!! Glad you ask the friend's who come to visit and help you both, are giving you their honest opinion about your new residence. Just like Harry (papa) said and felt from his heart about your Tuscany House. You both made a good choice and though it takes times, remember, in Postiano, you have the beautiful blue sea in front of your view and now you have the beautiful Tuscany valleys and the quint little towns that are warm and inviting.
Seeing the amount of damage to the tree (that Carlo cut down so skillfully) was very interesting to me. Loved hearing the story of the locals saving the arched entryway by bricking it up! Nice to see friends helping friends to move the lumber too!🩷👏🏻👏🏻

The shed would be really nice as a yoga studio and meditation area with a deck or stone patio around it .with some bonsai plants. I’m making a note of all these beautiful little cities in Tuscany for my next trip to Italy😄
Niki you and Carlo are so nice. No one would allow the previous owners to keep anything there for more than a week. Those people are very inconsiderate. I would call them and say you have 5 days to come get it all or it will be tossed out. I’ve never heard of people like them. They took everything that was nailed in and left so much junk!

Nice to have friends that you feel confutable to work with. That shot of the section of tree you took down was really cool. It would make a nice print to frame. It was artistic how the vine and tree inter mingled and the greenery spun around it all like a wreath. at 5.45 in video.
I am still worried about the rain that could come down those brick stairs and flood out your new build on sun room. Got to find a way to block any future destruction to that corner.
Volterra must have been owned by a very rich and powerful person at one time. I love its colors. Sitting like shinning star up high on mountain top all in blond stones. I hope you take us again. Very nice place.
