  • Just a little how to... not that hard knob change. And yes those are lazy pants. Always wear these after work to help relax after work.

    I love the stock Veloster Turbo knob. I’m keeping it. Leather is a little worn so I’m going to replace it with a new one off Amazon for $40.

    People say it doesn't work because of the NA Veloster, not the turbo. The turbo is made almost like every other shifter. The lockout is different but the rest is the same. Meaning very easy to change. The NA veloster is a different story. Not only is the reverse lockout different than every other vehicle in existence, the knob itself and how it mounts to the reverse lockout is different than any vehicle ever made. All you need to change it, is the turbo spring, turbo lockout, and the shift knob. That's It's only difference. So it would actually be easier to take any other reverse lockout mechanism and throw it in their, It's probably cheaper than swapping to the turbo, and then changing the knob.

    wouldn't a think walled washer work or a rubber cap with a hole through it? the reverse lockout is essentially just a cover that allows the ring to go up isn't it?

    Do you have a standard Veloster or the Turbo, and would that make a difference at all? I've got a friend that owns a 2015 standard Veloster and I'd very much like to do this little job for him as a birthday gift, but I want to make sure it will work before I sink the time and money into trying.

      Kamen Rider Gumo you can diy a shift knob with a revers lock out from a frs and it’ll work, I ended up doing that, and mines a 2014 base standard veloster

      Aquire the turbo boot, which is supposed to come with the turbo reverse lockout, and the spring for the turbo shifter. It's that simple, now actually acquiring that, is quite hard.

    This may be a stupid question but do you "need" that spring in there?

    • @TheDustyaman
      @TheDustyaman  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes. It helps push the reverse lockout back down.

    • @TheDustyaman
      @TheDustyaman  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Knox Willoughby yes. If it's the trigger type. You have to swap to this shifter to do it.
