Would it fit on a 2016 elantra GT? I've been looking for a way to replace the stock shift knob, but there's not a lot of other options, if this fits, I'd buy it!
It's probably a lot better. But I don't think spending $230 and having it sent over from Korea for the whole shifter is worth it when you only need 3 pieces. The only problem, is those 3 pieces are impossible to find, You're better off buying any other shifter for the car, and changing how the lockout works, since the veloster is the only one that works like this, leaving you room for change later on. Should have bought this when I was in Korea lol, would have saved a shit ton on the shipping.
If I buy the turbo style boot, then I can buy any aftermarket knob bc the reverse lockout on the turbo is a circle and the NA is that weird rectangle right? I want an aftermarket knob. Looks like I just need the turbo boot and a circular shift knob (with cutout for a circular reverse lockout)
Ya it's great no issues at all. Honestly it's worth the change I like it way better and could never go back to the old style. The only regret I have is not doing it sooner.
The install process was very easy. I did it all myself in the span of 30 minutes. Now when I bought this part and the link is in the description I had free shipping. For some reason the shipping is now like $200. But searching eBay I have found other sellers that sell the same item for around $80 total. And in my opinion it's the best modification I've done to my veloster.

is there a other way i have the same shifter but i wanna change out to the ball Style and i dont really want to buy a hole other shiter gear of just the ball style
I found buying the whole set up was the fast, easy and the least expensive. The only things you need are the turbo shift knob, turbo reverse lock out mechanism, boot, and spring. So to buy them all separate would cost more, at least from the searching I did. Because unfortunately the parts from the na to the turbo aren't compatible.
I just did the same thing to my car. Or at least trying to, the turbo knob WILL NOT COME OFF. This sucks because I have a turbo model with a base model shift knob. Send help
Did this and it worked great, also you can get this on amazon for 83 dollars free shipping.
Do you have a link :o

Either you have a non-turbo model with turbo badges, or someone swapped the shifter. Check your vin
My turbo model also come white a nav shifter

@@muhammadsorigami I was not aware of that. The first couple model years of turbo aren't very desirable are they.
