      @@gorillamoto5329 not a knock off id think I got competition werkes on amazon it could be shit but I don't know shit about this bike I literally rode it home in the freezing cold an hour and a half. It is a 2008 bone stock one owner with 4000 miles. I dropped a grand on it as soon as I got home online, saddle bags, pipe , adjustable windshield and a nice tail bag for my commutes to work. Next is tires. recommendations? I also got a Sargent seat looks much better than the stock seat for comfort. Thanks for the info. I have owned harleys and a R1, I now own two dual sport bikes one from factory and the other I made legal. a wr250f I use it for ripping off road but it is nice to legally hit the pavement for short stints.

    Reverse the polarity.(swap the plate light wires). LEDs are polarity sensitive.also you can add a bit of solder to bullet connectors and make a solid connection without cutting them off

  • @imsgoalie1
    @imsgoalie1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Bullet connectors are better than solder. Solder is brittle and fatigues from vibration; the bullet connectors are sitting in the sweet spot of being a ductile connection, which grants it vibration tolerance. By Spite's logic (at least insofar as he's explained it), every connection on the bike should be soldered, and require cutting to service.

  • @ericdoswell8115
    @ericdoswell8115 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The best way to get past the issues with bullet connectors is to use high-quality automotive connectors from a company like Sumitomo. They make most, if not all of the OEM connectors on the bike and are available dirt cheap with all the corresponding pins from suppliers like Corsa Tecnic.

    the reason for the extended bit on the tail tidy is for 2 reasons, 1 most european plates have to be a certain size and the font and size of the letters need to be specific too, 2 people in the UK can ride bikes with “L” plates which stands for “learners” to easily identify someone who is a new driver and be aware of that, this kit seems like it’s universal for all the new cbr’s including the 125 which would be a learner class bike in europe hence the need for the extra space for the L plate, hope this clears some confusion

    I chop off all my bullet connectors and use Posi-Taps for my connections. It's a far more secure connection and you're not having to tuck 20" of extra cabling because you can keep just cut the lines short and keep it really tidy. They also make a weather proof version which is what I run in my Duc when I installed the Rizoma tail lights.

  • @woodyracing49

    To be fair, “US Spec” fender eliminators are nearly always illegal in the US. We have similar laws about the plate having to be the farthest back part of a bike. Most come with a disclaimer that they aren’t DOT legal, we just usually ignore it because most cops in the US don’t care as long as the plate is well visible.

    The Licence plate in the EU has to be a certain size (120€ fine in France and similar fines elsewhere, if you have one that doesn't conform exactly and, yes, they do check!). The letters and numbers also have to be of a predefined size and typeface. I've left it on my cbr since i'm riding it all year round and i'll just get scruffy. Need a rear hugger to keep the inside of the bike tidy now.

    Did you put it on there? It needs more "tidy."

    For a beginner is it a good or a bad idea to buy a one piece protective suit or a two piece

    • @diamondheat9
      @diamondheat9 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you racing? Do you plan to...you know....walk around and go places when you ride? A one piece track suit is not comfortable and would look weird if you aren't wearing riding boots. Just do a two piece where you can remove your jacket.

    The angle of the exhaust pipe will be an issue in Europe if I’m not mistaken. It can’t be angled more than 20 degrees

    yammie noob Its not really spoken about. I really believe you should make a video explain what kind of bikes are best for big riders. I am long timer rider i started on dirt bikes im a fit dude but i 2 friends who are bigger dudes. they wanna ride bikes they both like naked bikes. problem is one guy is 400 pounds and the other is 350. i honestly dont know how to help them out. with that weight can the suspension handle it can the tires handle im.not sure

    That may be the ugliest fender eliminator I've ever seen. Please take it off and get your $300 back. The horrendous factory one looked better unfortunately 🤯

    Nice bike. I would luv to have a bike like that for my ride to work and back.

    I actually think it looks better. Could be shorter, yeah. Like many comments here already, try reverse poles for that light. Indicator not proper fitment may be for a couple of reasons. One is usually when getting an after market tail tidy many get after market much smaller indicators. The stock large ones on a small tail tidy may look out of place. The other is they either didn't care to match it up or never looked at it properly prior to manufacture so get yr money back as "not made for intent/intended use" ..but then you dug into it so may not get a refund.

      PS: I think the correct legal term if going for a refund is "not fit for purpose".

    No way. 25 bucks the tail eleminator 30 min 40 min later its on and done on my Ninja 650. But it's a cheap Chinese knock off it will rust you say. Hmmm Ok over the life of ownership maybe replace it once? Still a heck cheaper.
