Did your throwout bearing have springs holding it to the clutch fork? Mine did not so me and my uncle were confused. Maybe the last mechanic just forgot to reinstall them? Anyways we already did the whole clutch job so hopefully they did not have springs in the first place...

6 tons not sure how tall but I think around 18 inch to the safe zone

I don't remember but it should have to hold the fork in place.
