You said that you're using a South Bend clutch in a 2011 WRX, but looking at their website they don't even list any clutches for 06-14 WRX, only STI. I'm running their stage 2 daily on my 460hp 2010 STI and I'd like to get the same one for my buddy's 2011 WRX, but I can't find one anywhere.
This video is pretty old so they might not make it anymore. hey so i just replaced my clutch to stage 1 two months ago after i burned my old one (on purpose) and the new clutch performed very well the first 2k miles and now it’s slipping when i hit boost and the clutch company won’t answer my calls/emails about the 120 day warranty is there a way to hopefully fix the slip or do i have to replace the whole thing again

How much was it ? The cost ? Labor and everything ? And how many miles did that clutch have ?
Long time ago. Probably $1200
Is the intercooler removal REALLY necessary?
Yes. If you want to get to some of the bolts
Its also incredibly easy
Yup not bad
lol it’s like a 2 minute removal. Not that serious.
Not 2 min but not terribly hard
Did you remove the shifter to get the trans out?
Yes
Would you need a retune after?
After a clutch? No
So you don't have to take the clutch fork out for this right ?
I think we did once
Isnt taking out the motor instead of the trans much faster?
We are replacing the trans with a new trans too
What are the list of tools you needed
Quite a few

Fix again you toasted it or the flywheel
Good point
Installing the trans back on the car - top right hand is binding with bottom left side of turbo and can’t line up the bolts
Remove the turbo
Well see the first problem I ran into is I have no lift other than that I’m fine
YEah that makes it harder
Is this the same for the STI?
Should be pretty similar
You always remove the negative side first NOT the positive side!
Ive heard this multiple times. Something to do with not shocking yourself. But its low voltage low amp dc. We arent worried
No it's so you don't short out any electronics.
Pretty sure thats a wives tall as well.
@@automafiaracing You're so ignorant. I've seen it happen first hand. But hey if the guy on TH-cam does it the wrong way it must be the right way.
Not saying its the right way. But saying i dont think it matters on most cars these days when we have the jump box turned off.
